When I plug my iPhone into my computer nothing happens, no sound no pop ups just nothing and the iphone doesn't charge.
NOW here is a list of things I have tried:
I tried plugging it into 3 different PC's it worked fine.

iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

my iphone does not show up in itunes when i plug it into the computer (windows 8). It used to, not anymore. I have the new op system, the phone will charge so is connected and works normally, it's just that itunes doesn't recognize the phone or something like that.Â

my iphone 3gs was previously 3.1.2 firmware and i used my brother laptop that already had blackra1n installed so i used it and it looked fine then it just got bricked? it just doesnt turn on and when i plug it in computer it just says its in recovery mode and needs to be recovered.
so i thought i would just recover it to 3.1.3 but i wanted to avoid that step and go straight to 3.1.2 so that i can instantly jailbreak it correctly this time. i search around Internet and find a download for 3.1.2 firmware and i follow the steps and im supposed to do shift+and click restore on itunes and browse the download all looks swell until when it says preparing for recovery and it just comes with the (1600) error code.
I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

So i bought a curve 8530.I had a curve 8330 until i dropped it into the toilet. anyhow so i plugged my new phone that i bought yesterday into my NETBOOK vis the USB cord and it turned my phone off... and it had the red LED on and the phone would NOT turn on until i unplugged it.So i tried it on my desktop computer and VOILA! Worked but not on my netbook (I need it to work on my netbook for tethering)

USB cables are a dime a dozen so I figure I can take the mini USB cable with me and no biggie if I lose it. Suddenly without updating anything i plugged it in my computer to charge it and as soon as i connect the connector the phone shuts down with the red light flashing. I reopen the phone to charge it into the wall... Same thing as soon as the connecter enters, phone crash. So I have no way to charge it. I thought it was a battery default so I bought a new battery. View 1 Replies View Relatedwhenever I plug it into my computer or search the Device/System folders manually they are hidden (on the bb) or they are simply not there (when i use the explorer) i hat to format the bb a few times, and the problem gets solved for a few minutes.the deal with this is that when i sync the music, wheter is copy and paste on the explorer music folder in the pc or using the BB desktop manager media sync software, it uses the device space, the music gets actually synced into the device but I cannot access this music from the media library. when i try to it says that there is only 1 song, and its the default one that comes with the cellphone; so I look up in the Files app, Device/System folders and they are all Hidden.
I dont know why this folders are hidden so whenever i wanna have access to my music i have to go to files, device folders, show hidden stuff and finally i can see my songs... the thing is that i have to play one by one and i cannot change or switch apps since its not streaming in the media player....im worried about this, Ive reseted the cellphone, backed up, even formated it at the my computer, blackberry(M) properties..
how do i re set the phone ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my ear buds ripped out of my phone recently by a jumping dog. Since then, the jack will not "seat" as securely as it used to. Also the start/stop/microphone that is in the earbud cord does not work at all. The jack seems that it is alnost all the way in, but won't seat all the way in. I'm sure that it can be fixed, but have looked inside the jack and do not see any debris inside that would impede the jack. Maybe the jack was damaged by the quick removal, but I cannot be without the phone for the time for Apple to fix it or Squaretrade (warranty) to replace it.

So I have the Iphone 4 with the new IOS 5.1. Ever since I downloaded the operating system to my phone, Itunes crashes when I plug my phone into my computer. the itunes app on my phone works fine, but is frustrating because I have many movies and music stored on my computer that I cannot get to because of this freezing issue. Before I had updated to the most recent IOS it worked just fine. you would think that apple would have fixed this issue by now because I am not the only one with this problem.
