My iPhone 4s Mail application says incorrect username or password, but that is not true I am entering the correct user name ands password, it drives me crazy any idea how to fix this? I tried everything even turned the two step verification off on my laptop.

Every time he login with his gmail account, a page appears and says "create new user account" which request for a username. If he enters his username the page says this username is already taken for someone. If he he enter a different username, it says that email is already taken to someone.

I've tried adding through my address book and my phone just hangs. I've tried adding a phone number via my call registerr and it just bounces back to the original screen and i've tried adding it through the menu in my text messages and still it won't load.
I am unable to run Videos nor i am able to view my pictures taken from 8500 (both videos and pictures) when i transfer them to my pc. Plz suggest what needs to be done.

The screen goes black, and there's a long error message, which stays only briefly on the screen. The first line of it says something like ARM1 DAL critical failure. Then it completely shuts down and starts up again.I can get to any other website via the phone's web browser, and I can also access my gmail account using the gmail app.I'm running the most recent version of software for the Bold 9650.
This problem began when I tried to access my gmail account while sitting in a sports betting bar in a Las Vegas hotel, where they have a sign that it's illegal to email or text betting information. Could they have nobbled my phone? The only reason I wanted to look at my gmail was because I'd seen a news item saying that information about users of a service I'd signed up for, had their information hacked by Anonymous and posted on a third party website. I was trying to get to gmail to change my password.
I can't log into imessage. When I restart my iphone 3GS it asks me to enter my imessage account password, as far as i know I haven't got one, unless it is the same as my itunes account which I thought it would be. what I can do to get it to work?

My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
When I get an email I like how the blackberry automatically opens up the email application if I pull it out of the holster.The only problem is that it pulls up the Messages inbox and not my gmail account inbox.Any way to fix this or do anything about it? I have the gmail enhanced plugin if that makes a difference.Also on a totally unrelated note is there a way to search the gmail server from the gmail plugin app?

I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.

I just installed iOS 8 on my iPhone 5, and I had restored data from it to keep my old pictures. The iPhone kept the old Apple ID with iCloud. The problem is that last week I changed my Apple ID because my old email was hacked and I have no access to it anymore. The iPhone keeps asking me for the login every single time, and the password is not being accepted because that email has been completely removed from Apple. What can I do? I can still track the iPhone from icloud.com using the new email. If I click play sound it will play it.

First of all I'd like to know if the data i send thru bis using the phone's mail configuration is encrypted till server, as far as i understand the route is blackberry ==> Provider ==> BIS ==> google servers ==> BIS ==> Provider ==> blackberry, now, are my password and mails encrypted during all this? I mean is it all encrypted even after it passed thru bis?
Second, I'd like to know what gmail app does (m.google.com/mail) regarding encryption, i see in its settings "always use secure connections" that should mean its all encrypted according to google policies right?Last, if i used the gmail app (google's) would i still need a BIS subscription or just an internet connection would be fine?
Reason i want to know is that Blackberry's mail may be a little more comfortable for me due to slow connection but i'd still want to be safe, only thing i noticed is that BIS logs into my gmail account (pretty normal tho).I see this has been discussed in the past but there was never a definitive answer and i think (not tried though) that packet sniffing wouldnt bring me one either.
I have started to get "unknown error" on my iPhone 4. When I try to login to app store I get "unknown error" and it kicks me out. I can go to the app store other ways without problems. Just my iPhone has a problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately I have encountered an issue in some hotel wifi networks where I have to log in on my iPhone every time I switch it on. On most wifi networks that I've logged into, the iPhone remembers the network and logs in automatically when it is in range. This was a real pain at one place where the login and password were random combinations of letters and numbers. If enough time passes after the iPhone goes to sleep, the wifi icon disappears from the top line. In network settings it's still checked, but the login page comes up.
I checked and Auto-Join and Auto-Login are enabled, and these are DHCP networks.
What can cause this, and is there a way to get the iPhone to log in as it's supposed to do?

I just realized that when I made an account on Game Center, I typed in the wrong e-mail address and apple ID. Now when I go to try and change it, it says my Apple ID is already in use by another. I do not see how that is possible as my ID is unique to me (e-mail address) and I use it on Apple.com, iTunes, ect. and it works just fine. I changed my Apple ID when I got my iPhone. I also have an iPod touch, but the Game Center on my iPod was under a different email and old ID that I forgot about. I never used game center on my iPod except for a select few times.

I am no longer able to access a particular guest wifi hotspot from my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1 When selecting this wifi service my phone hangs at the wifi login splash screen. This wifi hotspot doesn't require a username and password but does ask you to accept T's and C's before you can connect.I did install the Onavo app at a similar time to this first occuring, but as I thought it may be causing the problem I have now deleted this app.

Recently I've been having issues with my Yahoo account on my iPhone4. I have 2 accounts setup on my IPhone, one Gmail and one Yahoo. Recently when trying to update my Yahoo inbox, I've been getting an error message stating I have the Incorrect username or password. Each time this has happened, I've gone to Settings and noticed the stored password under my Yahoo account has been changed somehow. I retype the correct password, it verifies it with yahoo, and then instantly re-displays the incorrect password (obvious b/c it is 3 digits longer than my actual password)?
