IPhone :: Doesn't Remember Login For Some Networks
May 22, 2012
Lately I have encountered an issue in some hotel wifi networks where I have to log in on my iPhone every time I switch it on. On most wifi networks that I've logged into, the iPhone remembers the network and logs in automatically when it is in range. This was a real pain at one place where the login and password were random combinations of letters and numbers. If enough time passes after the iPhone goes to sleep, the wifi icon disappears from the top line. In network settings it's still checked, but the login page comes up.
I checked and Auto-Join and Auto-Login are enabled, and these are DHCP networks.
What can cause this, and is there a way to get the iPhone to log in as it's supposed to do?
I just got the new Xperia Z3, it has lots of software issues. One of those is the fact that it doesn't remember Wifi networks anymore. I have to re-select the network and re-enter the password every time.
I have read that removing all remembered Wifi networks works, but this solution is unacceptable to me as I travel a lot and have over a hundred networks remembered in my Google account. I'd rather stop buying Sony products than have to re-enter those networks again.
I have got a new S5 (coming from LG G2) and I'm experiencing a problem I've never seen before.
Earlier changes of phones has given me the opportunity to access wifi networks (SSID) I've used before. Now I have to add (connect and reenter key) all networks all over again.
Is there a fix that can bring back my "old" networks?
How to setup my Nokia 701 that it remember Wi Fi networks passwords. The problem is when I connect to my home WiFi network and after disconecting next time it ask me for password again. I would like to have home WiFi and my office WiFi networks very easy accecible without taping passwords every time.
I recently got a Blackberry Torch 9800 and had signed up for a Blackberry ID. Now I cannot remember my login information. How I can find it? Is the username a blackberry address or my regular email address, like hotmail?
My iPhone's Wi-Fi suddenly stopped detecting/locating any networks. When I go to Settings-->Wi-Fi, all I see is the "Choose a Network..." spinning wheel and no networks are detected despite the fact that I have my own Wi-Fi network at home and there are additional neighbor's Wi-Fi networks. My MacBook Pro and a MacBook in my home are able to locate and connect to my home Wi-Fi network. Troubleshooting steps: I have restarted the router, I have reset the network settings, and have restored the iPhone from backup; however, the problem persists.
my friend was updating the software on his iPhone 5s and when it finished he had to activate the phone again and he doesn't remember the email and password he used the first time he activate it.
Having chosen the S2 over the iPhone and having used it now for 3 months (learning new things about it almost everyday) I think I can now arrive at a decision whether I made the right choice.Having seen peoples' iPhones and read on certain forums about them I'm glad I went for the S2 however (there always is an however!!!) there are [so far] 3 little gripes I have w.r.t. the S2
1) The OnOff button could be better in terms of positivity and position.
2) The (installed) Music Player unlike the music player on the iPhone doesn't remember the last position played on a certain track if you navigate away from it and listen to something else and then return to it. A real pain when listening to audiobooks unless you split the audiobook into small (~5mins) tracks then you just have to remember which track you last listened to when you turn the phone off or listen to something else on the music player. This is unlike iTunes, which the iPhone uses, which does it automatically when you check the 'Remember Playback Position' box. Naturally the inability to not remember the last position played doesn't really apply if you just listen to 3mins music tracks!
3) Kies for Mac (which is my main computer) is terrible slow almost unresponsive.Kies for the PC is marginally better but nowhere near as user friendly as iTunes.
The auto login function to my tmobile Hotspot has worked for over 1 year without any problem on my iPhone 4. After migration to ios 5 / ios 5.1 the function doesn't work any more and i have to login manually, each time.
I use the same iPhone, telekom phone number, telekom login account id, telekom account password. The manual login works without problem. Nothing else has changed, but the ios upgrade. So it seams to be a bug in the ios upgrade.
I have the international version of Galaxy S2. I go into phone to display the log and I pick any of the settings, ie all calls, missed calls, etc. It displays the right information but when I exit and get back to it, it doesn't remember the settings, it goes back to ALL.
I bought my E72 device two months ago. I also have an access point in my home unfortunately I can't connect with it properly. My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Error is occurred only in my and some of my friends private networks. I am sure that's my phone is setup correct, because in this same configuration laptop is working. Why I can't connect with external network?
I just got a new Galaxy S6 edge but it doesn't remember the WiFi passwords that I enter. I have moved from my parents house and It dosnt remeber the password of my new house but it remembers my parents password. I had Galaxy s5 with the same problem. I sync. everything from my Galaxy s5.
When we go into settings / Apps / then go to ALL Tab
scroll down a little bit and then open one app then if we go back then the list of apps comes from top. We have to scroll down again if we want to go into the same app or other app
And when ever we click on back we have to scroll again and again.Â

I can't log into imessage. When I restart my iphone 3GS it asks me to enter my imessage account password, as far as i know I haven't got one, unless it is the same as my itunes account which I thought it would be. what I can do to get it to work?
I can't remember my passcode for my Iphone and it is disabled. How can I fix this? I also plug phone into itunes and it says phone is locked due to wrong passcode.
I am trying to reset my phone but I cannot remember my 4 digit pin. I have tried all combinations I can think of, is there anyway to reset this pin number?
My kid was trying to play with my phone and disabled it. When that happened, I was forced to use a password versus my fingerprint. It has been a while and I cannot remember the password. What can I do other than reset the phone?
I have an iphone 4 and I didn't know anything about the Activation Lock. I sold my phone on Ebay and I can't unlock the phone because I absolutely can't remember the icloud info associated with the phone? I reset the phone before I shipped it. The buyer returned the phone and I am trying to figure out what can I do to unlock the phone.
I have an iPhone 4S.I just installed a new Network using a Netgear router. The router offers to recognized networks, one working at 2.4 GHz and the other at 5 GHz. My laptop and iPad recognize both networks, but my iPhone only sees the 2.4 GHz network. Is this iPhone model (the latest model) unable to see a network at 5G? I would think not, but it simply doesn't show and doesn't allow me to add it manually.
I forgot to, and my last backup was from july 16th, I've stupidly lost 15 days of valuable notes. So even though its so simple to just jailbreak from your safari browser, you should still connect it to your computer and back it up just in case.
