BB Curve 8500 :: Unbale To View Videos / Pictures To My PC?
Aug 24, 2010
I am unable to run Videos nor i am able to view my pictures taken from 8500 (both videos and pictures) when i transfer them to my pc. Plz suggest what needs to be done.
I am having many problems with my new blackberry curve 8530. I just purchased this last week and can't seen to be able to view my pictures that my brother sends me from across the country of my brand new nephew. I called Bell Mobility and talked to them for 40 mins and I got no where.
My c6 01does not show any images.when i open the photos,it shows empty..bt i can view them by opening the memory card..i cant set a song for slide show. It simply shows "no songs",eventhough i hav several songs in my phone.
From the third day i bought my xperia neo v i started having the problem i thought it was because i installed a third party application but i deleted it and the it continued till i did a factory reset and it stopped for two days and it happened
i cant view any of my pic in my photos gallary....i had facing dis problem frequently...and its work simply when i restart it and some days latter its happen again...i cant understand why is this..
Yesterday I recorded a video and then when I tired to watch it, it wouldn't let me. The gallery app would freeze or it would come up blank. So I tired the video app and it played for like 2 seconds and freeze as well. I cleared the cache, forced the app to stop and I turned it off a bunch of times and still nothing.
when i copy the jpg files into my mass memory. the default photo viewer fr N8 can't view jpg files in order (eg, 1.jpg jump to 3.jpg) just wondering is that a way to view files systematically?
I have N-8. There is not any facility there for playing video songs continuously as like mp3 songs, we need to choose next song every time after finishing first. There must be a video player also which can support all type of videos.
Has anyone had any issues trying to view pictures or videos in the gallery app since the update? Mine started crashing when I open the app, it started a few days ago along with random system reboots.
On my N8 (Anna), I can see all the photos taken with the phone in the default photo viewer. But under Window Explorer, some can be seen but many are missing. So where are they?
I am completely new and just recieved my Blackbery Curve 8520 today. My previous LG Neon had the threaded view and I have read that the newest updates of the blackberry's do too. But when I update it, it does not show my SMS in a threaded view.
I could not seem to find the right postings to help me with this.I attached a simple small .jpg file and sent it to the new Sprint 8530 BB phone to use as a desktop background. The attachment is a 'Winmail.dat' file. I have downloaded the file to what I thought to me the picture folder but it does not show up.
1) Is there a setting that would automatically show the attached pics like on my old Tmobile Blackberry? (Like an 8320 series)
If I have to 'Download images' manually everytime, I am taking this thing (actually 3 of them) back to Sprint and going back to T-mobile.
I think i have the same problem with a few BlackBerry Users out there. I can't view SMS even though there's clearly a notification stating that i've a new SMS. I need to go to View SMS inbox to view the message.
i have an 8520 Curve and have just noticed i can't save new contacts to my phone.
I've tried adding through my address book and my phone just hangs. I've tried adding a phone number via my call registerr and it just bounces back to the original screen and i've tried adding it through the menu in my text messages and still it won't load.
Although my phone backs up & synchronises OK with my Outlook when I use Windows Explorer, which I've always used with other phones to copy or move file to & from PC & phone, I get the message "Please insert disc into drive E" each time I try to access the phone. I want to get the photos off my phone onto my PC.
Okay, please excuse my ignorance guys.. xD.I just purchased two BlackBerry Curve 8530s from Sprint. I am pretty tech savvy, but there's some things on this phone I just can't grasp in the two or three days i've had 'em:
Deleting Pictures: Okay, so i am in my Media folder, in the pictures. I select a picture and press the BlackBerry button and select delete. Then it says it is read only, and when i delete it, the icon is still there. I've tried turning the device on and off and it's still there. Figured this one out myself. I hooked it up to the Desktop Manager, and suddenly all the pictures I had taken appeared. I was also able to delete them using the "BlackBerry key" then "delete". It didn't give me that read only option.
Saving Pictures: So, for whatever reason, i can't save anymore pictures. I don't even know how I saved the first 12 pictures i took.. but now it will not save anymore. What the heck happened? xD I have a 2GB card in my phone.. surely those 12 pictures didn't fill that card up... Figured this one out myself. I hooked it up to the Desktop Manager, and suddenly all the pictures I had taken appeared.
Buying Ringtones: On my old LG phone, i used to purchase ringtones from RealTone Jukebox.. where they had snippets of songs that I could download for a crazyhigh fee. Where can i purchase real music ringtones for the BlackBerry? Do i have to make them myself?
Moving Media to my PC?: I went through the Sprint Music Store that came with my device, and purchased two songs. I want to know if I can get these songs off of my BlackBerry device and to my PC. Also, if anyone knows what format they're in (if they've purchased from the Sprint music store before).
Purchasing another Memory Card: Where's the best place to purchase one of those mini memory cards? A friend of mine has like, a 24 gig one.. and i currently have a 2 gig (which, i should mention, is more fricken memory than i have in the computer i'm writing on right now xD) How will i know if the card is compatable with my device?
WTF @ Red Light?: Every so often (it may still be doing this, i'm not sure), the little red light at the top of my device will blink even if i don't have a low battery or any new messages. It first happened lastnight when a friend sent me 3 IMs at one time. I had to restart my device and i think it stopped. Earlier, it happened again (I had multiple new messages) and this time, every time my screen lit up, the indicator was solid red.. not blinking. It may still be like that now, but i'm not sure. My device is in the other room and i'm too lazy to check xD. Why is it doing this? How can I make it stop?
Turning the Camera Noise off?: My device makes the camera shutter noise, even when on silent. Is there a way to stop this?
Auto Keyboard Lock: I EPIC purse-dial people. I see there is a Keyboard Lock button in the BlackBerry Dashboard (is that the correct term for it?) But i want to make it to where the keyboard auto-locks after a certain amount of time. Is that possible? I saw somewhere about pressing the mute button will lock it... is that the button at the top/center of the device?
BlackBerry Key?: Okay, don't laugh, i know i'm retarded. But, the key to the left of the track pad.. what the heck is that called? It's got the BlackBerry logo on it... is it called the BlackBerry Key? I know, I know, i'm retarded and could probably flip through the manual to figure it out.. but still. I might as well ask now xD
Choosing Icons to display on the main screen: When I added an e-mail address, it put an icon on my main desktop, in the row of icons on the bottom of the screen. (where my background picture is and all that). Can we choose which icons we want to display on the main screen? I don't really need my calendar icon there, as I know i won't use it. I'd love to move the Keyboard Lock button there though.. is that possible?
Speaker Phone?: How do i make Speaker Phone happen? xD
Theme Studio (Software, not device related): Has anyone used this? Is it pretty user friendly? I'm tech savvy, but I don't want to just download a ton of programs to my PC that i won't use xD I'm working on getting the Desktop Manager and it's taking forever. I want to make themes, but i'm curious how user-friendly this program is.. or if it'd take a graphic design graduate to use it xD
I've already deleted pictures in my media card, but however in "all pictures" mode, I still see the old *and ugly* files there. Have tried to delete them, but my phone says it can't do that since it is read only. What should I do?
My daughter and I each got curve 8530's. When I take a photo and save it, it shows up under media and pictures. When she takes photos and saves them, they do not show up there. We both have the same store pictures and folder settings. Interestingly, I pulled her battery yesterday and all the photos started showing up again. But, today she is having problems saving pictures and seeing them in the media folder.
I have an existing Nokia phone and have copied my pictures on to the memory card. When I put my SIM into my Blackberry and got to pictures there aren't any. How do I download my pictures so I can see them!
I really need your help on this please please, Actual now I can't view my pictures at all when am trying to view them am getting this message Unable to diplay file/Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures/IMG00693-20120215-0018.jpg.rem and when am trying to play my music getting error message saying Error Playing then An error has occured attempting to play media
Here is what I have I done after doing research online
1. first pull battery is not working
2. When I had this problem I was using OS 4 so I changed to OS 5 still the same problem
3. I copied all my file to my computer and format the media card and add back all files still the same problem
Info: Blackberry Curve 9320 (Package Bundle 7.1) I cannot view pictures sent via text message, it just says ***Not Retreived Yet*** when I press the 'Download Now' nothing happens. I've researched loads of fixes but none work, including battery out, sending one to myself, switching Wi-Fi off etc.I cannot believe I cannot access it, as all other phones I've owned you would just open it up and it's there. You should also be aware I do not have an email account set up on my phone as I just use my main internet for that. I use Wi-Fi on my phone through my internet provider at home and the works when at work so I don't need a Blackberry Data Package as it would be a waste of money for what I use it for.
I wonder where you are actually uploading the picture from when it says 'Download Only' . There must be a way of obtaining an image without having to download it. There's ample additional memory on my phone. I cannot believe you would have to have an email account which I've read. Also when I originally got curious and tried to get an email account it only ever shows 'Enterprise Account', which I'm told is more to do with companies which i don't need.
I was uploading pictures to facebook yesterday and my phone froze...trying to get out of my seat, the fone dropped and the battery came out..i put it back in and it's been rebootong for almost 12hours...i dont know what to do.i wish there was a software to download and then plug up my phone and run it to fix. i need it on asap, because i'm losing my mind and money...also,i haven't backer-up my files on my phone, but i have an email address registered to the phone.what can i do?
I have a blackberry 8520 curve, my music and pictures have disappeared, when I take pictures now they are not showing up on the phone. I still have the same ringtone and text message alert message. I took out the memory card and put it back in and it's still the same. When I put in the data cable to view online I am getting a checked arrow next to the blackberry and cant access anything.
This might sound like a silly question but i've set up facebook on my blackberry which is fine, then my mom brought the same one and asked me to set up hers aswell for her, and somehow on my moms i managed to do something that made peoples facebook pictures come up as there contact photo in her address book, but now i cant figure out how to do it on mine! lolll. I have the curse 8520,
I have several dozen pictures that were added to my new Curve 8530 from my old phone before I had an sd memory media card, so they're sitting in the internal device memory. How do I transfer them to the media card, and can I "select all" to move them all at once or do I have to go picture by picture?
Also, I use Desktop Manager for Mac. Is there any way I can move them around through my Mac Finder? Would I have to disable Mass Storage? In what situations would one enable or disable Mass Storage and MTP? (OK, that's probably a second topic; but I haven't found a good explanation of what it is.)
I have a blackberry curve the 8500 series. And I use it for just about everything. The only problem I have is that I cant view my bank account on the browser. I am can get to the loggin screen and after I put my info in and press ok it goes to a white screen and says at the top "dual authentication".
The phone is not frozen it just wont load up my bank account. I know my bank account works on mobile devices because before I got my bb I had a phone that it worked on and my boyfriends phone lets me do it too. I know a bb can do just about everything so I am guessing there is a setting I have to change.
I cant open any of my pictures or videos since i put my blackberry into another computer, I can however see them on the computer. I tried pulling the battery out. It once said something about saving in my device and not media card. I am not sure what that means
I have a blackberry curve 9300 and I used to be able to zoom in for pixtures and videos by justing moving the trackpad but when I do move the trackpad I can't zoom! Does anyone know what the problem could be
