Little help:2G iPhone restored to custom FW 3.1.2, jailbroken and unlocked.Everything works fine, except notes app is crashing. Can't create any new notes. I can open and view most old notes, but if i try to edit them, it crashes.Tried to solve the problem bu changing permissions as described here:URL...No effect.
View 6 RepliesSo, I have an iPhone 4S on iOS 7.1.2 and I have had this exact phone for a few months since I had it replaced by Apple. I have found a fault in the system: If I type too quickly in the Messages or Notes apps, they suddenly crash and completely delete whatever was being written. I now have to type extremely slowly in order to stop my phone from completely crashing.Â

In the last few days since I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.1.1 (over air) several of my Apps have been crashing, and/or freezing. This includes apps such as Kayak, Twitter etc. that worked fine before the update.

My nokia N97 worked properly for over 4 months when it got a little slow. so I thought let's update it. I tried it with the software updater on the phone itself which didn't work. so I downloaded the software updater on this site. updated it, and now the C: memory is full. I can't use a thing about it and weirdly enough my computer doesn't find my phone. (I was still able to turn it on and enter the pin before it freezes) I went to the local phone repairguy. He tried to selftest it. And it said (translation from Dutch) "selftest phone failed. Take contact with the seller" and it stops there. What should I do. I live in Holland. (update's ain't possible)

I took two pictures and closed the camera app and then my phone proceeded to restart and get stuck at a frozen lock screen. This also happened 16 or so hours ago and it's still frozen. Pulling the battery does nothing as the phone gets stuck on the boot screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWeird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

Whenever I open a playlist in the music player, and press a letter (to search for that letter), the music player crashes. It doesn't crash if the playlist is small though (I'm not sure what the limit is). Has anyone else experienced this?

View 15 Replies View RelatedWhile updating to belle somebody tried calling me and phone seemed to crash at this point as the call carried on ringing for over a minute and I couldn't answer it. Had to restart phone and it went through the initialization and belle was installed..But now the whole phone runs so slowly - often takes 10-20 seconds to unlock the phone w slider, send or open a SMS message etc..Was working fine on anna yesterday. I've tried restarting it a few times but problem persists.On another note I tried deleting the 4000 old SMS messages that are over a month old from Nokia Suite, then syncing messages but it doesn't remove them from the phone.

Though I have another problem - ALL my notes on my phone have disappeared after this update! And I had many....And eager as I was to get the new upgrade, I didn't write down all these notes on a reliable piece of paper with a reliable pen to secure that I wouldn't miss them afterwards IF they were to disappear!I followed all the steps at the sonyericsson webpage, and noticed that it said on the webpage that all things NOT included in the backup, which I was supposed to do before upgrading, would NOT be "disturbed" by the upgrade.. But here I am now, sitting with my phone WITHOUT any of those important notes!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my Bold 9000 for about two months. I bought it unlocked and have been using it with T-mobile. When I first got it, i upgraded it to the latest leaked os 5.0. The thing is, I had problems with it. First it would just randomly crash and restart and crash and restart, continuously tell it just drained the battery out. Sometimes, on restarts, the standard Blackberry ringtones would not work, and sometimes they would. Sometimes when it would restart after crashing it would say, "net_app_something_ (52) isnt working and was canceled". I assumed it was a bad leak and tried several different version. (and this same occurred with each OS. I would install it on my pc, on my buddy's who has an unlocked Bold 9000 on t-mobile just like me. In the end I gave up and went back to 4.6. Yesterday i tried the new, official OS 5.0.It worked at first, but then when I install the newest BBM, it started crashing again, until the battery was gone. So now I have reinstalled it, kept the standard BBM that comes with the OS. and also deleted Quickpull. thinking it might have to do with it as well. On a last weird note. It seems only to crash in the evening. In the morning it is perfectly fine, however once it passes 4pm , the crashing beings, non if this occurs with 4.6.
Any ideas? My friend and I are both lost. Sorry for the wordy post, but it is really difficult to describe the retardedness of this situation.
I have read the official support page which told me to first make a backup from phone memory to memory card, take out the memory card, and THEN make the firmware update, put the memory card back in, and restore memory from card. I did all this and now all my business notes and all my business contacts are gone. Were they not stored in the 'phone memory'? Or did the website fail to say that notes and contacts will NOT be saved from phone memory to memory card when one performs the backup? And no, I don't use Windows, so I cannot synchronise contacts and notes and calendar. I have always made a backup from phone memory to card. Did I just find out that the people at Nokia are just a couple of mumbling amateurs who tell their clients to 'make a backup of the phone memory to memory card' and then fail to mention that some things are NOT backed up in this process? Suffice to say that I am very, very, extremely angry at Nokia now.

I have been updating mu contacts with Lotus Notes 8.5 and it was working fine. After the update, the mobile phone numbers are not synchronized any more. Instead, the fax numbers are transferred.
Note: After the update, I also receive the following error message in the address book "No settings found. Contact your service provider.". I have no idea if this is related or not.
it is not working anymore since they loaded the ICS update.

i have an iphone 4s with a 5.1.1 software. i tried calling a friend who's using an iphone 4 with the same software version. while we are using facetime my iphone 4s turned off and restarted again. i dont have any problem with my wifi connection. i tried calling again using facetime and for just 1min same problem occurred. iphone4s turned off and restarted. i tried it 3x and still it has the same problem, then my iphone was so hot.

I've just downloaded today's iOS 7.1.2 update on my iphone 4. I agreed to the install and now on the apple screen it is stuck with the install progress line half way. Has been like this for an hour.
Do I reboot my phone somehow, connect to my computer?
I'm curious as to why I'm unable to load the following url in safari running on an ipod touch 2g with firmware 3.1.2 (I've tried repeated times, even after rebooting the device)I've had random safari crashes before but never with such consistency on the same webpage. Does anybody else experience the same crashing? I'm just curious as to what html content could be causing the app to flake out.

fixing error -1 when restoring iphone 3gs after 5.1 crash. my phone was working for about two days after update to 5.1 but all of a suden it restarted it's self and came up with the message (needs to be activated) conect to itunes. after trying to restore my phone it comes up with the message (the iphone could not be restored an unknown error ocurred (-1))
