So here is an odd one. I've noticed my iPhone 4 acting weird with the proximity sensor so I did the full reset of my phone. Now since then, I've gone to setup my lock code again and thats no problem. Expect the only option I see is immediately... I dont get to choose anymore the frequency of the passcode. I've tried to reset again and turn my phone on and off. No go. I've changed the password, turn the code on and off. No go.
For ALL iPhone 4 users no matter what network you use ATT, Verizon, etc.By simply holding down the home button about 3-4 seconds when your iPhone 4 is locked, it will activate Voice Command, so anyone can make phone calls without a Passcode!Once Voice Command is active you can say dial...then say some random phone number and call will be placed.I'm not talking about a 911 call, i'm talking about any phone call to any number!
I just forgot the lockscreen passcode of my iPhone 5S. However, the thing is a bit different from my side as I just wiped my hard disk and no backup on the computer. Â I also don't want to lost any data during the process.
I'm trying to connect a bluetooth speaker to my LG G4, but it won't connect as I get an error on my phone saying that the passcode is wrong, do I want to try again? The problem is that the passcode screen never shows up to enter the code!! Is there a workaround? I'm currently running Android version 5.1 (UK resident), will Marshmallow 6.0 sort out this problem?
So my friend changed my lockscreen passcode and neither of us remember it. Is there a way to change it or something because I need my phone and it's pretty much useless now.
It's a pain to constantly slide the unlock and then do my passcode. I know I can press menu, but that's not much of a help.Anybody know how I can get rid of the slide to unlock, but keep my passcode?
So now that I have my Lumia 1020 in hand the first thing I wanted to try was seeing if the Pro Cam app would quick launch with a password protected phone. It doesn't. You still have to input your password.
Changed my passcode lock from letters back to numbers. I know what numbers i picked for the lock but the phone won't let me in! Tried a number of combinations but none worked! Has it ever happened that an iPhone won't let you in with the correct passcode? Does it usually malfunction when you switch back to numbers? And most importantly - is the only solutioin to reset the phone???
I just upgraded OS5 on my 8520 but after upgrading I can't see keypad lock option anywhere. Before there was keypad lock icon in menu but its just vanished now and I even checked all the folders its nowhere. How can I get it back?
I've been using my new LG G4 for 2 weeks and I've been liking the smart lock feature like trusted face and trusted devices but yesterday this feature stopped working and when I checked i didn't find this option at all !
Prior to updating to Lollipop I could operate music from the lock screen. I also had the option of adding widgets to the lock screen by swiping from the right. Since the update all of this has gone. I can't do anything without unlocking the phone. In security there is no longer an option for allowing lock screen widgets. How do I correct this?
I am facing the above problem with my recently bought LG G3. the content lock option works for both files stored in sd card and on internal storage. but to view them via unlock option is only with sd card files. if a file is locked on internal storage it has to be moved to sd card to unlock and view.
I canīt disable the option for password lock, I donīt needed, for me is enough with the "lock keyboard" button . But no matter what I try even following the manual each time I enter the Security option Password lock only appears Abled, doesnīt give any chance to Disable it.
I need to be able to lock my blackberry with a password and I had to be able to just hold down the A key to do this, but after I downloaded the software upgrade to 5.0.0.508 locks the keyboard, not the phone. Also it's darn near impossible to unlock the keyboard with the mute key because I have a case on my phone. I have to pull the case off to get it to unlock. How can I get it back to just the password lock when I hold down the A key? I've tried to go into speed dial keys and update it there, but it won't let me change that one.
I've just left iOS for Android and the thing I missed the most from my iphone is the light-up-lock-screen functionaly in which I don't have to pick-up my phone to see the notification light up on my locked screen. Instead of this cool feature, my S6 gives a vibration or the LED lights up without automatically light up the screen which is annoying cause I need to pick up my phone and hit the home button to see the notifications. Can I had this feature on my besides that superb S6?
I've had a blackberry for around a month or so, and i have the curve 8530. I had always assigned screen lock to the left side convenience button. I plugged it in to my computer to put music on and i believe i updated the phone. my screen lock button is gone. no option. it has dissapeared.
I often switch the feature to have to slide the screen lock to use the phone on or off. It's currently off and I can't find the menu item to turn it on again! Where was it again? I've got a standard Motorola Defy 2.2.By the way - the only reason I'm always switching it around is because when I'm expecting a lot of calls/texts, I turn it on. Because when I get a text and the phone's in my pocket, I often press something when taking it out as getting a text/call unlocks the screen. For the rest of the time - I find it irritating to have to press the power button and then slide the screen - why both? It's not like it's hard to accidentally press the power button on the Defy!In a way - that "in pocket detection" option sounds ideal but I found it kept cutting in when I didn't want it to.Maybe I can do something with that "tasker" app so that when I press the power button, it unlocks the screen.where is that screen lock option again?
After updating with symbian anna update I enabled phone auto lock option with some code. Now I want to disable this option. When I am trying to disable this option I am getting "Unable to unlock phone" message. I tried to set Phone Auto Lock period to None. I am getting the same message.
I have always assigned my left convience key to lock my screen. After updating to 545 I have lost the option to even choose the keypad lock opt. Does neone know where this went? I updated with the official not the beta. Also I notice volume adjustments while on a call is not precise when lowering or raising.
I added a ms exchange account from my company and now the options to use a pattern for unlock are greyed out. Also under owners, it shows that exchange account.
After the 5.0 update, I went to add my Moto 360 as a trusted device and when I went to the Smart Lock menu option under Security settings I was surprised that there wasn't a Smart Lock menu option in there.
This is right out of the release notes from motorola: "Android Lollipop adds native support for allowing trusted devices to keep your phone unlocked (such as your Moto 360, a Bluetooth car kit or headset, etc.). Smart Lock replaces the prior trusted device capability in your Motorola phone. Note that you will need to add your trusted devices back after the transition to Lollipop in the Security settings menu under Smart Lock."
Noticed this option missing when your Moto X 2014 was upgraded to Lollipop.
I'm having a problem with the new Android, 2.3.4 while using ActiveSync to connect to my corporete email on Exchange Server ... A corporete policy gets pushed to my phone and I need to accept it. OK, no problem ... I accept it, but the Lock screen settings ( under Settings -> Location And Security -> Change Lock Screen ) only allows the "Password" option, saying the other options,e.g. the PIN way is remotely disabled by administrator, although that is NOT the case. I've double checked with our system admins on this. Our system admins are NOT forcing the "Password" option ... they're OK with just using the PIN, and I had it like that, in the old 2.3.3 version !For this setup ... this will display the long PASSWORD for lock-screen, instead of just a PIN which is what I prefer to to use instead:
This policy is NOT forced by our admins, since this is the policy:Here are my complete Password tab settings on the server, so you can see the admins are NOT requesting this long password ( PIN is enough! ):
Require Password - checked Require alphanumeric password - unchecked <--- attention, this is UNCHECKED. Enable password recovery - checked Require encryption on the device - checked
[code].....
But with this update, you need the following for the unlock screen of ActiveSync for Exchange Server:6 letters, and one number in the previous version ( 2.3.4 ) you needed 6 letters, TWO numbers and one sign I want to be able to use ONLY 4 letters PIN, as it is allowed on our network, as you can see in our policy just pasted above in this thread!
My iphone asked if I wanted to update and I hit yes. It said to plug into ITunes so I did. My only option is to "restore". It didn't ask if I want to backup first.I don't have service on phone and I don't want to restore. How can I go back to "not" restoring?
I read on the front page how others were having the proximity issue like I was and that if you did a reset of settings then it could fox it. So I went ahead and did that. I went in and started changing all my settings back and I realized that the only option I had for my passcode was to require it immediately and not after 5 min like I usually do. I've done some searching and saw that a google or exchange account could cause this. But I only have mobile me.So that can't be it. The only other option I've seen is to do a complete restore.Whig I'd really like to stay away from. Does anyone have any ideas?
