My iphone asked if I wanted to update and I hit yes. It said to plug into ITunes so I did. My only option is to "restore". It didn't ask if I want to backup first.I don't have service on phone and I don't want to restore. How can I go back to "not" restoring?
View 1 RepliesToday, I got instructions from AT&T on how to unlock. I was able to perform backup on iTunes of my iPhone 4. But, I am not able to see the option to do 'Restore from backup' in iTunes. Currently, I have the Gevey SIM in the iPhone, not the original AT&T SIM.

My Lumia 920's Skydrive Storage Options (Settings -> Backup -> Photos) doesn't show "Photos + Videos" like everyone else I read about, and when I click through on that, it only shows 2 options

* Upload (may use data plan)
There's no "Original size" and the entire "Videos" section is missing.I've made sure my wifi is set up and working, and my skydrive is all operational - when I "sake to skydrive" from the photo app, that uploads fullsize no problem.
Due to glitches with the 5.1.1, I performed a back up, repair and restore as recommended in these forums. However my contacts seem to have been wiped out and it doesn't give me the option to import contacts stored on my Google account. All in all the 5.1.1 has been the upgrade fro **bleep**.

The next minute I have tried entering the Serial of my iPad 3 as well as my iphone 4s, the option appeared in the list again... The thing is that its a paint it the arse for me to go up to the nearest Apple store, wich is miles awat from me.

I ordered an iPhone 4 for my mom. I told her to have one of the (iPhone 3G/S owning) relatives to back up her iPhone 3G. Just back it up.INSTEAD of simply backing it up, our relative did something, I don't know what, but called me to ask why nothing restored but 4 songs. All of her data is gone!
I don't know what was done or why. I am in a different state, and they did the opposite of what I instructed. Is there ANY way to restore backed up data IF it was indeed backed up through iTunes? They're using a Windows computer. Is it somewhere in a system directory? Can Apple tech support help? I'm livid right now because I assured my mom that all would be fine if she did what I told her to do.

I have things on my calendar and in my reminded thatI want to be repeated only 3 days of the week but the only option to put so it will repeat is everyday. For example: I have events that only occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but the only option I have to have to choose from to have the phone remind me or show it on my calendar as time not available is Daily, then it goes to monthly, etc. So when I set up a reminder or put something I want to show on my calendar I have to choose Daily so now it shows on everyday that my time is occupied for that event and it reminds me to which drives me crazy. You literally have to go to each day it's not suppose to be on and delete it in both the reminder and calendar.phone show that I am busy when I am not or it pops and makes a sound up when I am in the middle of things that are really not going on at those times of day and there are so many that I can not sit on my phone take it off the days I don't need it because that could be a year or more I would have to go thru to change. Is there an upgrade coming out for that soon to have it give us that option ro choose what says we want?

I've been using my iphone's data to connect to the internet on my pc and my ipad for ages. The last few weeks, it kept dropping out and I had to turn personal hotspot off and on again to reconnect. Yesterday however, a new problem arose. I turn the hotspot on and both my pc and my ipad are not even showing my iphone as an option to use as a wireless internet connection. I have reset netowrk settings'' but the problem persists.

I did some cydia updates, against my better judgement, it worked ok for a day or so then choked while txting. Its an unlocked 3g on ios3.0. I think it was mobile substrate, I ssh'd an older version, a deb file but no luck. Is a restore my only option? I have my old 3.0 ipsw.

I had cricket unlock it because I'm in México and wanted to use it with TELCEL. The phone works fine with TELCEL but there is no mobile hotspot option in settings. (TELCEL does have tethering as I am able to use it on my iPhone). I don't know how to enable it.

However, in the 'Manage Connections' section, there is only the option to turn on and off my 'mobile network' and 'bluetooth'. I looked up the specs of this phone online and all of the websites claim that the phone comes with wi-fi capabilities and I assume that since this phone was released in late 2009 that it has wi-fi.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay so my dad wants to get into the security option in his phone to add a fingerprint, however to do so required the backup password.
Knowing my dad, he had forgotten the password and cannot get in here, the only suggestion we have found is reset your phone which obviously is a bit last resort.
I have found some suggestions I. e. sign in your Google account however that did not work nor did a suggestion which was to go in private mode and from there it will prompt the fingerprint and make that default.
so my question is how do I restart the password?
I am attempting to get skins working with my Motorola V620, but I'm having some issues. I've followed the guides best I can, and don't know where to go from here. I run RSD Lite, and then run skiman, which gets everything loading. One thing of note, it never loads the Moto skin. It does not even appear. However, I have successfully installed 3 different skins, and whenever I reload them in skiman, they all appear just fine. The problem is there is no "Skins" in the personalize menu on the phone. I have attempted to add it with P2k tools with no success, as well as edited seem 0032 offsets 53 and 54 to allow for skins. But still nothing.
Any ideas why the skin option is not showing up in my personalize menu? Any help would be appreciated. And kudos to all the hard work on this forum.
the option to only show phone contacts and not have all them showing. like htc uses and not force other apps into the contact list
