My phone froze. I restored it but none of my apps showed up. Ihave tried several times to sync it but each time it freezes up the phone again and I have to restore again....Have done this about four times now.

Anyone going thru this with me? My iphone 4 has been shutting down. I updated the software, which was supposed to address the issue. Didn't help. I have done multiple hard resets and restored the software, losing all my apps ( which really annoys me). I think it is a software issue and something to do with iCloud too. I've noticed that on my home screen, the battery icon is not showing green at all. But if I go to one of the icons, say Messages, then correct battery amount shows up. If I do a restore to the computer, the home screen shows correct battery life. If I restore to iCloud, the battery is showing as dead on the home screen.
Apple would you please fix this??? I'm in New Zealand, I have to pay to have this fixed at a store, and I'm not convinced they will be able to fix it until Apple fixes the bug. But what would you do, people?

i have just installed some apps/games from the ovi store. and after i restarted the phone it stayed on the (blue letters) NOKIA logo. no matter how many times i have removed/reinserted the battery it will always stay on the above mentioned logo.anything i could do beside from resetting the device with the 3 buttons sequence?should i take it directly to a Nokia care point to check it?i have two years warranty, is it possible to provide me with a new phone?Do you want to get all the firmware updates for your phone? View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone froze. I took the battery out and reset it. I put the batter back in. It turns back on and does the security verifying and then shows the main screen. The issue is that i try to scroll through the applications and it does not respond. I cannot dial numbers or anything. It just stay on the main screen. When I pulled the batter I notice that there is a red line on the white part near the pickups on the battery.

I did a partial restore using the Nokia Suite, selecting only the "Device settings an applications" content (I wanted to restore a theme that I wasn't able to download again without purchasing a second time). The restoral was successful and I have the theme back. The problem is that several other themes that I no longer want were also put back on my N8. I go to Settings>Application manager>Installed apps, however none of the restored themes are listed (they are all taking up Device Memory). how I can delete these items from my phone and thus free up the memory they are occupying?

After that the charge does not go higher than 2% and it turns off after barely a minute of usage and there is no charging sign on the battery icon. I have a 9700 have had it about 7 months with any problems UNTIL about 3 days ago. I noticed my Blackberry Messenger, Yahoo EMAIL, and Facebook applications are no longer connecting. My Blackberry browser is still working. I used to have FireFox and EI as options and since I updated my phone, they have since been erased.
Ive Updated, Ive swiped, Ive returned everything to factory settings. Ive deleted and reloaded all the apps along with replacing my sim card.
What's this. It just showed up today.

It is not a "Smartphone" for internet-surfing, but just a simple phone for voice usage.Last night I was looking thru Menu & must have clicked something I shouldn't have, because afterward I noticed a capital "G" in upper left corner of screen & only 1 bar below it.It also had full bars on the right (full battery).Never saw that "G" before & could not figure out how to make it go away. Too tired to mess with it so I went to bed.10 hours later I check phone & it is totally black, will not come on, will not do anything, pressing any/all buttons does nothing, totally black screen.So I plugged it in anyway, hoping that will fix it. But it's been plugged in 1-hour now (3:48pm my time) & still totally black, zilch, nothing.Did I "kill" my phone last night by messing around in Menu & accidentally making that "G" appear?

I immediately noticed a difference in performance, when I turned it on it showed my location to be almost a mile (by road) from my actual location, probably a 1/2 mile as the crow flies. I turned it back on a couple of different times in the next few hours but it never did find the street I live on. The battery was low so I hoped that a good charging would get it to function better. The next day was some better, at least it found my street but still placed me 140 yards away. No panic yet, Friday will be the true test. Friday morning I loading in my addresses and found the optimization key thanks to my experience with the Garmin 1450. Bingo, route optimized! Looking forward to the trip now.However, the trip was a huge disappointment. This 765 did recognize waypoint correctly but the unit kept going to the blue screen with moto's advertisement . I would have to start the trip all over again and delete the waypoint I was at, it would add that back to the route.I'd guess it happened at least 20 times durng the around 3 1/2 hours I used it. Most of time I would be at a waypoint (but not always) and I'd get back to the car and it would be playing it's happy tune. I'm glad it sounded happy cause sure wasn't. The other 765 I had did not behave in this manner.

My phone is not jailbroken or anything like that and I have tried hard resetting it but nothing is happening. When connected to iTunes, all iTunes says is, "To allow access please respond on your phone" which I obviously can't do.Â

So I tried to update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1.1, like iTunes told me to do, and it froze part way through the installation for a couple of hours. I tried to "reset" the iPhone by pressing both the home and power buttons simultaneously, but now iTunes tells me my iPhone is in recovery mode. From my limited knowledge, it seems I need to restore my iPhone, but I don't want to lose anything, like my SMS history.
Is there a way to get out of recovery mode without having to restore?

So I was in the process of updating my iphone 4s software, it completely froze while it was in the middle of backing up. I disconnected my phone and tried to reboot it but that didnt work. i tried to reconnect it to itunes but it wasnt being read... so i downloaded the new itunes update to see if that would make a difference and it did... except for when i connected my phone to itunes there was a message that said " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." If i restore my phone everything will be deleted & i'm not sure when i did back up, i think it was 2 1/2 months ago. I dnt know what to do, i dont want to lose all my pictures and texts that i currently have on my phone.

Screen on my iphone 4s suddenly froze. I am unable to switch off the phone or move the screen, it's just frozen and it's showing that the phone is locked although it has been unlocked and moved to another screen prior to freezing. I am now restoring the phone to it's factory settings and it is still being processed.
I can see that itunes is working on this, but the screen remains frozen and switched on. If this doesn't work and I think that it won't.

i was opening an app when my phone froze, i held the power button till it turned off. it then took over 2 mins to switch off, it will now not turn on or charge. my laptop does not reconise that it is connected to it.
