Eseries / Communicators :: E71 Firmware Software Updater?
Apr 9, 2010My E71 is 300.21.012 18-06-2009 RM-346 Nokia E71-1(350.02).Upon using Nokia software Updater its says firmware up to date and no new firmware available.But i know new version 400.21.013 is out there.How can i update.Does anyone have similar issues.

Mar 7, 2011I've used the Nokia Communicator since the 9000i, these phones take a beating and keeps on ticking. I dug forth my old Nokia e90 after my iPhone fetish disappated. However, I've never updated the firmware of my e90 and thanks to the Ovi software, I can't even though I want to.I've tried on three seperate machines and they all give me the exact same error message in both the Ovi suite and the Software Updater. (See attachments.)The three machines I tested it on are all Windows 7 32bits. I've been googling like a mad man and I see several others have had this issue with their phones. I've also tried every trick in the book (remove expired root certificates, disable firewall, restart twice, disable antivirus etc.) to absolutely NO avail.

Dec 1, 2012I have a nokia E7 with Belle update , previously I had the Microsoft apps installed on my phone and for some reasons I had to do a full format and restore of my phone. My phone restore was only SMS and contacts.Then I tried installing the Microsoft apps again and after the installer file downloads , it ask me if it can download a 21 MB file , so I press yes and then it says " the connection was lost , canceling the installation "I am sure my network connections are OK, all the other applications download and install perfectly and I have tried it over 3G and Wifi. To be sure I did factory reset and it did not work.even when it creates an icon for smart installer , the same thing happens.

Jul 9, 2012After installing Microsoft Apps I found Nokia email app changed: some shortcut missing (new email, for example), D-Pad navigation reduced (no ability to reach the top: accounts, order of emails, ..), an inconsistently composer interface (white background, rounded fields, etc). It's been Microsoft Apps or a Nokia update? I didn't notice it before though.

Oct 1, 2012I just got the "Homescreen widgets" software update which appears to be a Belle Refresh "lite" on my N8. Just things like the rss widget (at last!) and the fancy clocks etc.However it consumed another 15mb of precious c drive leaving the phone with just 5mb and lots of messages to make space.Having the 2.1 microsoft apps I tried deleting the powerpoint broadcast app (i never use) which then removed the whole office app suite!So I formatted the mass memory- did a *#7370# and started again. Connected to the PC suite and there was only one piece of software to update a social update.I am now on 111.030.0609.223.01 - which should have ms apps = but no ms apps on my phone!!What should I do? Why the heck can't you download it from nokia store and is my only option a visit to nokia care?

Oct 13, 2012I downloaded the Microsoft Apps 2.1 via SW update but it is not getting installed. I get an error as "Unfortunately there was a problem getting your updates. You can use your 603 as normal. Please try again later to complete the update". I tried more than 20 times now, but everytime I get the same error.
Is there a problem with Microsoft Apps for 603? I have enough memory on my phone to have this 45 MB application installed. I do not where the downloaded file gets saved. Does anybody know about this.
And how do I uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Apps from my phone, I do not see an option for that on the icon.

Jul 21, 20111) I am unable to either open the message section, forget reading or sending messages and it shows he error which says "Messaging Memory full. Close some applications and try again" I have tried every possible way i guess. Have deleted all my messages from the cell( Sim, Memory card and from phone memory as well), but no result.. Still unable to send messages. I tried restarting my cell phone, Closed all applications, infact uninstalled many, Formatted memory card and everything.
2) The message tone in my cell doesnt work. Also it doesnt vibrate when any sms comes. Dont know why it has happened like that. Its ongoing since about 6 months now Nothing has worked for both the problems.

Jul 12, 2012I have N8 and new 808 Pure View. On N8 I deleted the "Broadcast", "LYNC" and "SHARE POINT" as have not use for them. This did not delete the Office apps (excel and word).
On my 808 I opted to delete Lync and this caused deleting of all MS apps including office.
Did anyone try to delete Lync and Share Point on 808 device? Is it same? how to remove just Lync and Share Point?

Jun 23, 2012I just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.
