Aug 31, 2010I have Gmail set up through Exchange and when I swipe messages in the Inbox they give the option to Delete. I know that in at least one of the 4.0 betas it offered to Archive. Do I have to use the Gmail setup to get this feature instead of using Exchange? I use Exchange so I can get push mail.

Jun 21, 2010Anyone with Gmail of iPhone - Since I have updated to IOS4, when I swipe to delete an email on my phone, I get a red button which says "archive" instead of "delete." After pressing the button, the email disappears from my inbox, doesn't show up in the trash and doesn't go to any of my other folders. Anyone else experiencing this?

Mar 21, 2012Before the update to iOS 5.1 when I "deleted" emails in the native mail app the emails would be "archived" in my gmail account. Now, when I delete the emails on the native mail app, the emails are sent to the trash. I cannot find a toggle in the mail settings to restore the archive feature (if it exists).

That topic probably didn't make much sense, so let me try to explain. I have an @carrier.blackberry.net set up as the primary email on my Tour. The oldest email I have on my device is from December 12th. I kept it on my device a reference as I knew I would have to refer back to it. Anyways the email string is quite long, and I need to select "more" in order to view the whole message. When I choose that option I get an error message saying "Couldn't retrieve more", and then a red X appears beside that email in the message list. Is this normal? Does the message purge itself off of RIM's email server after a certain period of time? I guess that would make sense, but I've never noticed it until now. Does anyone have any insight?

I am pretty sure that I used to have "archive" as an option in the menu, and also when I archived on the dektop, the mail would disappear in the gmail mail list, now it does not.I added the mail account through setup following the gmail account option. The only difference from before is that I no longer sync contacts/calendar.what I can do to make Archive work again?

BB Bold 9700 :: Deleting Archive Folders Linked To Enterprise Email Account?
Jan 25, 2010I use a Curve 8310 as my work BB (through an enterprise server) and recently acquired a Bold 9700 for my personal email accounts. I used the "Switch Device" option on my BB Desktop Manager, to trasfer contacts from my work BB to the 9700. All this was a breeze. Unfortunately what this also did was transfer my work email folders (all archive folders) on to the 9700. So in the email application on the 9700, if I select "View Folder" from the menu key, I see a whole bunch of archive folders. I have no use for these folders on the 9700 but cannot find a way to delete them.Is there a way that I can delete all these redundant email archive folders from the 9700?

Jul 3, 2012Is text messaging. If I try to send an outgoing text at the same time that one is incoming it will not send the outgoing message. It will struggle for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (or even more) and eventually time out with a 'text was not sent' error message. For someone like me who sends thousands of texts a month it's the most annoying thing ever! Other phones do not have this problem.
Also the time stamp for texts does not work if the phone is powered off. For example: I turn my phone off at midnight and someone sends me a text at 1:00 AM. I turn my phone back on at 8AM. The text arrives but does not have the correct time stamp as being sent at 1:00 AM. It will be shown as 8AM. So I have no idea what time the message was actually sent. Once again other phones I have used did not have this problem.

May 24, 2011when I make a call it immediately says "call ended/closed" and when I enter *110# I get this message: Connections problems or invalid MMI-code.When I restart my phone, maybe repeting that process like 10 times then I can send/recieve calls/texts, but only for a brief moment.Before it wasn't as bad... I always got the Connection problem message after a I've made a phone call. But now it is bugging me 24/7.I have resetted my phone, I've even upgraded it.
