I'm really interested in using the iPhone 4 for shooting short HD videos. I'm debating whether or not I need the 32GB model. How much space do you think 720p 30fps HD video will take up?

Now that I have, however, the "Install" button is greyed and and says "Installing", but the app isn't. I know I can download it to my computer and then sync, but I would rather not (just don't ask...). What is this an issue, and is there a way to fix it directly on the iPhone itself? I've had my iPhone 4 since Sept 2011, so I know it wasn't like this before. When I play a video on my phone that I recorded and rotate the phone so it is horizontal the video shrinks to just the middle of the screen. I've played these same videos countless of times before and they always filled the screen when the phone was horizontal.
Also, I have tried zooming in on the video by double tapping the screen but it just makes the screen too big and cuts off people's heads or other things.
So the concept of the video on iPhone 4 being 720p is great.I just wonder if people here can answer:
1.) how much space will 720p video take on the device? I'm taking a vacation on the 17th of july and I'd like this to replace a camcorder
2.) assuming I don't roam on the phone (said vacation is in philippines) then how much battery life will this kill assuming I don't render video on the device and just record and play back.
I want to delete a few videos from my phone in order to free up space. I went to my photos app, i clicked on albums, clicked on videos, and i even selected them, but my garbage icon is not highlighted, not letting me delete videos. I cannot access them from my videos app. How do i delete them?

is there any way of selecting the file type that camera image files and video files are saved as? I know that the SGS2 supports various file formats, but I can't find anywhere that actually lets you select the format type. I've checked through the manual, Googled and searched various forums without luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9810, provider is Rogers. For some reason now when I try to email a picture I receive a popup that says "the attachment file may be reduced in size". Then it takes my nice high resolution photo and reduces the file size to under 100kb. The picture file size is much higher but the phone just reduces the file size.
I believe at some point when I emailed a picture a pop up came up and asked if I wanted to reduce the file size of the picture. I said yes but I think there was a check box that makes this choice apply to all pictures I try to email.
I can't find anywhere in any of the options where I can reset that decision and have the phone send full size pictures when I email them.
Recently I've bought curve 9300 - so far it looks to be the best phoned I had so far.But yesterday I finally decided to install desktop software and check some other functions of the phone. And that's when I found a problem. I haven't installed ny media card, but there's some free space showing on the built memory.I've wanted to upload a couple of multimedia files ( .mp3 - using "file" button, I'm not using Itunes, Windows media etc).I got an info that maximum allowed file size has been exceeded (I'm not sure it's excat phrase as I had to translate it from Polish). When I went to update Maps of India, it also showed a Pull-down tab where the maps are devided into further 18 parts...India (ALL) file size appears as that of 394 MB whereas the total of all these 18 parts is 895.4 MB. Why such a huge difference ? Will it be more detailed information if I download all these parts one-by-one ?
