I want to go into my mail and read mails but not see that new ones are coming in.
It seems that as soon as I go into the mail if takes that as "manual" download. I want to turn that off.

I tried to find out how to disconnect from going online, but it just changed from high speed/3.5G to 3G. I am losing credit everyday. At first, I thought it was because I downloaded a game and the app from OVI store on Saturday. But this morning when I checked my credit, just to make sure. Jun 22, 2010I'm trying to support nearly 100 Blackberries (mostly the Tour), and any wireless update breaks the phones with various results: anywhere from just deleting the email sync settings (all carriers) all the way to the phone unable to make/receive calls (just T-Mobile for the lack of calling, Verizon or AT&T seem unaffected thus far). We do *not* use a BES server, however, if that's what is needed, I'm certainly willing to go there. If and when an update is needed (by our standards), I will perform them. I really don't want anything coming from Blackberry, ever. I instruct users to hide the update icon, however, they always say it eventually comes back and keeps prompting to install the update. To rid themselves of the annoyance, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater annoyance of waiting until I can get the phone fixed.

Jul 23, 2010I got two separate e-mails overnight from Apple saying they had already automatically refunded me for my bumpers (I thought they would only refund one, but who knows. I have two bumpers and got two e-mails about refunds). I suppose this is "cool" of them to do, but I actually did NOT want a refund. I wanted a free bumper/case.
The thing is, I purchased my iPhone and bumpers with AT&T Rebate cards (pre-paid Visa cards), both of which expire at the end of this month. What in the world am I supposed to do if the refund doesn't get credited back to my card before the cards expire?

Jun 5, 2012I use an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4S. After the last update in the 4 I can only choose 1-5 minutes for the code lock, as in the 4S I can choose indefinately (as was in the 4 before too). No changes have been made in the setup, just the latest update.
