View 10 Replies View RelatedI cannot stand Lollipop, so I returned my phone to Motorola and received one that has KitKat on it. If I can turn off auto-updating of the OS, I will be good to go. I do not want to root the phone as that will mess up my warranty and insurance. If I cannot avoid Lollipop, I will get an Iphone or go back to a flip phone. Lollipop is the worst user interface ever. It is like the "New Coke". You cannot turn the phone to silent with the VOLUME button, how counterintuitive is that!? Also I don't want to see every update on the locked screen, the little pictures are fine. However with Lollipop, it is all the alerts or none at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable the motion sensor from constantly waking the phone, without losing notifications for email/texts/etc?
I have disabled all the moto actions, but the clock screen is still constantly coming up whenever the phone moves, such as when I'm walking or it is sitting on the passenger seat in my car! I can make it stop by disabling moto display, but since there's no LED to notify me when I get a text or email, I'll never know....
Accidentally force stop. Having an effect on my maps app...

Is someone trying to sign into my account or does it do this when someone has sent me an email? I closed the email over a week ago, and I know that it is there for 90mdyas due to security issues if it has any. I just want this gone and off my phone NOW!!!!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedMore recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedPrior to the ICS update, there was a setting which prevented the phone from "sleeping" (turning off the screen and locking the device) while plugged into a power supply (and therefore, also plugged into my car dock since I always plug it into the cigarette lighter while plugged into the car dock).
I don't see that setting since ICS was installed. Of course, I can turn off the "Display power saver" option, which will prevent it from dimming, but the "Sleep" setting has options of 15 seconds to 10 minutes, no option to not sleep at all.
Because of the lack of this setting, I have to keep tapping the phone to keep it awake while using the Google Maps Navigation app. This is distracting and should be unnecesssary.
When I plug my RAZR into my Ford Sync it mounts internal storage instead of external (where my music resides). I believe there's a setting to stop that, but for the life of me I can't locate it now.

I then want to send a brand new unrelated text message to the same recipient using the + (New message) icon at the upper right corner of the screen.he new text message invariably is appended to the bottom of the old thread, unrelated to the subject matter of the new text message that I want to send.

What can I do to get apps to update?
I noticed this last night, it may not be when it actually started though. When I am connected to WiFi my 3G icon disappears. If I turn off the WiFi my 3G pop backs on fairly quickly. This is how my Milestone X used to work and I noticed as soon as I got my Bionic that the 3G icon would stay on even when connected to WiFi even though it wasn't actually being used. Now sometimes at night it would disappear which I always attributed to the battery saver settings, but then today it is the same, which has never happened. When connected to WiFi the 3G icon is gone. I actually prefer it this way, and I'm not complaining, but I have not received any updates or anything so I don't know why this would have changed.

View 15 Replies View RelatedFor about the last two weeks I cannot check for updates. All I get is "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later".
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to do a system update on my Bionic(Menu | Settings | About phone | System Updates)I receive a message saying Check for updates is not available at this time. This has been the situation since updating to .902.There were so many reported problems with .905 that I just decided not to update to that version but would like to try the new ICS.By the way, except for this glitch my Bionic has always worked well. How do I get System Updates to work?I've tried pulling the battery, the SD card and the SIM card per other discussions but that did not work.Don't really want to lose everything on my phone to do an update.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen did Moto update the native blur weather widget? Last time I looked at it, it kind of had the same theming as the toggle widgets. It looks pretty nice now. how often the widget updates? There is no option to change the update interval so I'm wondering how often it actually does this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI thought it was just part of the initial boot after upgrading to ICS, but my Bionic becomes almost unresponsive when the application updates commence. View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my Bionic in September new from Verizon. I have not received a single system update since getting the phone and am still on version 5.5.886.XT875. Why am I not getting updates?
Currently, if I try to force an update, I get "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." I have been trying for the past 48 hours.
I've had my Droid Bionic since October 2011 and I have tried to run a system update once or twice a month but it never finds an update. It is always stuck on "Checking for available update. Please wait..." And the little loader circle is spinning. I've tried checking for updates on different Wifi networks and everyone is the same. I am still on 5.5.886.

I noticed that I was no longer seeing any updates for apps downloaded from the Amazon app store. To be clear, this is not the Android Market but the Amazon Appstore for Android. After the upgrade, I did have to login to the Amazon Appstore, but could use and download apps fine.I saw some posts in various places regarding people having trouble running apps they had download from the Amazon Appstore. They were told to delete and re-download the Appstore and login again. That didn't seem to have any effect for me.
I noticed that under my account in the Appstore, I had 3 devices registered with names close to 'Motorola Droid X'. I deregistered all of them and signed in again, from the phone, just to clean up all of those devices.Still no updates present when looking at the Update Available option from the Appstore. The last thing I did was go to the Amazon Appstore on the phone, select menu and My Apps, then press the Refresh Icon towards the top of the display. Then select the Update Available option (as I'd done many times previously) and the apps that I was expecting to have updates, all showed up.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got a new Maxx HD today and have it all set with a lot of apps disabled. I checked the system update and there's the small bug-fix update that was pushed out a couple of weeks ago ready to be downloaded. My question is should I enable the apps again and do the update or is it safe to do the update with the apps disabled?
