HTC :: Typing On Nexus One Is Difficult

I'm coming from an iPhone 3GS and I'm having great difficulty getting use to the Nexus One keyboard. The autocorrect feature is somewhat annoying and seems to be less accurate than the iPhone. (Disabling autocorrect, it's even MORE annoying) Also another thing that bothers me is I'm constantly accidentally tapping the period key instead of the space bar. Overall the keyboard isn't as fluid and I find myself typing a lot slower. A lot of times random spaces between letters in words show up..Is it because it lacks multi-touch? Is there any tips on how to make it easier? I like the phone overall, but the keyboard is just annoying me

Is there anyway to get the keyboard to show emojis when typing. I.e. when you type smile, you should see a smile emoji to enter, without going into you emoji part of the keyboard.

On my nexus 6 I've been using the Google keyboard which I do love but sometimes it's slowing down for typing is not as quick as my thumbs are.

Since the time I have received my phone, while my phone is charging, typing becomes very slow and glitchy on all the messaging applications. I was previously using Google Keyboard, then downloaded swifkey pro, but the problem still persists.

Ever since the last hangouts update whenever I'm in a convo it no longer shows when the other participant is typing to me or when they are looking at the convo. Instead the profile pic that shows what they last read up to always shows gray like they don't have the convo open and when the person actually replies it just pops up with no typing notification. Same thing with my finance's nexus 4.

Several times in the last week, I have not had a 4G signal on my Droid 4, and it would not fall back to 3G. All I got was "no network found" or similar wording. I live in Orange County, CA, and signal is usually very good. The only way to get a signal was to power off and back on again. I suppose airplane mode would have forced it to re-seek a signal, but I just thought of that one.
Also, when I woke up this morning (2/22/12) at 5:55AM, there was no 3G or 4G. I tried to send an email. and it said no network was available. I turned off the phone and turned it back on, and had the same problem. I turned on WiFi, sent the email, turned off WiFi, and went back to sleep. At 9:00AM, I checked again and it had a good 4G signal.Does this phone have a problem, or is it VZW that causes 3G fallback to fail? How can I tell if there was an overall VZW outage this morning or if the phone just wigged out?

I used the iTunes method and created a m4r file. It shows up under Ringtones in the Library. I just can't get it onto my iPhone even after syncing. Can someone please help me?
Note: I used the exact same method and managed to add a ringtone to my phone a few days ago. But somehow it magically disappeared and now I can't add any ringtones.

how i can fix my blackberry curve 8520 or is it to be deemed unfixable?
I have been having difficulties unlocking the handset and have to hold the mute button for a long period of time, however when i came to use it the other day even this didnt work and when i managed to get it to work but it automatically locked after only a few seconds.
when i can get my phone to work the majority of the buttons fail to work. The warranty ran out on it 5 months ago and it is on pay as you go, but would carphone warehouse (where i brought the phone from)

I was wondering what you guys did when your iPhone's sleep/power button was frozen. Mine still works, but it is very difficult to use. I have to hit it a few times for it to actually turn off. It is very difficult, and it acts like it is stuck or jammed.

Just joined the form and did a search for this, but didn't see another discussion on it. If my RAZR is plugged into a power outlet and is fully charged, it is very difficult/almost impossible to unlock the screen. I grab the unlock spot on the left ant try to slide it to the right, but it takes several tries, using extra force to get it to slide. Underneath the slide bar I see the message that my RAZR is fully charged and to unplug it from the outlet.If I unplug it first, it unlocks just fine. Guy I work with just got a new one and it's the same way. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this? Obviously this isn't a big deal, but was just curious.

After upgrade of my iphone 5s to ios 7.1.2, I am not able to open iphone ikon- Internal Storage-DCIM - in My computer..The folder is shown as empty.I use Window 8.1 loaded on my Macbook air 13" July 2013 model...Should I stop using iphone for photography and use my Canon DSLR...Taking photo is easy with iphone 5s. But retreiving the photo/video.

iPhone 6 opens in Huge Soom mode, where you can only see one of the 10 digits on screen - making it almost impossible to even sign in - much less get to settings to try and change this. this is about to send me back to my 5 - no one seems able to address?

hi guys i bought a new samsung metro s3310. i kinda have problems with the java in it. i installed a oxford dictionary (java)(from mobiles24.com) in that mobile. but that dictionary application works kind a different. wen i installed the same application in nokia and sony ericcson mobile (the left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is for deleting a character). but in samsung metro (left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is exit). so i very difficult to handle this kinda applications in this mob. there is similar kinda problem in other java applications also. how to rectify this kinda problem.

I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

I am having some problems with my e52 typing sms in t9. I have been using t9 nokia for many years and many previous models, but the e52 seems to be unable to detect my typing fast enough. I am very sure that i press the keys with a definite click but sometimes its just cant detect when i type fast.As a business phone it is important to have very smooth and efficient typing. It is the most important function 2nd to calling.for e52 users u can do a test in T9 typing by like entering words like 963 for YOU fast (but ensure that u get a click out of button) most of the times only two characters appear.Is this just my e52?I hope that u can provide a firmware update for this.

This is a major problem that has been occurring over the past week or so.Happening from once to four times per day, my one year old iPhone 4 will do something quite strange and abnormal.When I type anything; whether its on an app or just texting; it will either delete the sequence of letters or start typing and repeating letters on its own. Also, when I press any kind of button, the screen will spazz out in a way, and the button won't be pressed, another button in the close location to the button that was supposed to be pressed will be pressed.I searched online for answers aside from apple.com, my last resort, and they all said to restore to factory settings.I did do this, but this didn't work, because the first thing that happened when I typed in my wi-fi password for the first time was that it started to repeat A's, @'s, and O's. Then it seemed to stop.This is now preventing me from logging into my restored phone because I can't pass the setup guide with the problems that are occurring.

I have a BB Bold 9700, with OS6 on it. Today it has started typing "w" by itself when I was doing a search on the internet browser. I've rebooted it removing the battery and it happened the same when trying to write the unlock password, I've rebooted it again and it seems to be working fine now, however I'm worried because I'm afraid it could be a virus or something. Is that possible? I've read that BB has virus, is it true? It's my work device and you know.. Could be something important on it sometimes.

I have the Pearl 9105, Blackberry's non-QWERTY phone.Anyone here who has experienced this before? When i press a key, it acts like it's pressed 2x times.Say for example i'd want to dial "12345", the screen's going to show "1122334455".Or when I am texting and I want to type the letter "A", I would press the key ONCE but it would give me a "B" instead.

When you type and if u have vibration on, that it'll be unable to keep up and that the vibration is too week or misses every couple of letters when I type? And it lags as well if u type too fast. It's so annoying, any way to fix it? It happened with the latest update as well, worked fine before.

I'm sure the other day when i was in an SMS thread in the stock messaging app i noticed words to the effect of '<contact name> is typing a message'. Â Surprised me as I thought only services live Whatsapp and FB Msgr did this? Â Am i halucinating? Â And if not, to how this works over SMS?

When I first got my 950 I was elated finding VoiceType and I loved using it in Messaging and OneNote.
After a day or two it was gone, along with the microphone symbol.
BTW, always a Nokia lover, after my great 925 I find the 950 SUPERB Well Done MS !!!!

I use the SMS a lot (20 Ã 50 msgs/day) and am trying to find the T9 (predictive writing, or whatever it's called) for English, Dutch, French, because it's so much faster, but I can't switch it on, and at the shop they tried too but to no avail. There is a sort of dictionary in the device because I found word lists in Dutch/French/English but it doesn't seem to work when typing an SMS. I bought my device in a regular shop in Belgium (Phone House).

When we type any sentence in blackberry either mail or SMS, suddenly after double Peres of space key bring a fulltop in between sentence, Can we disable full stop after continuous double space.I have tried by updgrading OS as well but issue is still there. Is this a hardware issue or any ootion to disabel it.

Me and my daughter both have the 8900 Blackberry. Mine is fine for a year and a half now.My daughter just received a free replacement for her broken one last week. It was probably refurbished because it was free. Anyway, when she types SMS text the letter O or E comes out after almost every keystroke. It's very fustrating. I had her re-boot, had her remove auto-text, etc. It's still happening.
Does anyone have a possible solution or is it a defective phone?
