my iphone 4 is not working after updated to 5.1 i have my phone about a year and never had any problems with it. then i updated my phone to 5.1 and use it for a while then suddenly the volume dont work no more its not in mute it does not ring or nothing total silence Internet, music, etc... i restore my phone and nothing still the same i try everything and nothing.

This is my first iPhone, and I don't usually make or receive a lot of calls, (I communicate much more with texts.) I received 2 calls recently and it was almost impossible to hear the other person. I tried hitting the + on the side, but it didn't seem to affect the sound volume. Is there something I am missing in the settings, or something else I am missing? I don't use any type of headset/headphones, as those are prohibited at work. I will say I have a Belkin case on the phone, so it's possible I may not have been hitting the volume controls like I thought. I just wondered if there was something I was missing elsewhere. I am hoping this is just operator error and nothing wrong with the phone.

why is the speaker sound so infuriatingly low?
whenever I am outside and I get a call, I can hardly hear it. And yes, I have the pocket mode ticked on to make the sound higher. Note: I used the exact same method and managed to add a ringtone to my phone a few days ago. But somehow it magically disappeared and now I can't add any ringtones.

I'm coming from an iPhone 3GS and I'm having great difficulty getting use to the Nexus One keyboard. The autocorrect feature is somewhat annoying and seems to be less accurate than the iPhone. (Disabling autocorrect, it's even MORE annoying) Also another thing that bothers me is I'm constantly accidentally tapping the period key instead of the space bar. Overall the keyboard isn't as fluid and I find myself typing a lot slower. A lot of times random spaces between letters in words show up..Is it because it lacks multi-touch? Is there any tips on how to make it easier? I like the phone overall, but the keyboard is just annoying me
View 10 Replies View RelatedSeveral times in the last week, I have not had a 4G signal on my Droid 4, and it would not fall back to 3G. All I got was "no network found" or similar wording. I live in Orange County, CA, and signal is usually very good. The only way to get a signal was to power off and back on again. I suppose airplane mode would have forced it to re-seek a signal, but I just thought of that one.
Also, when I woke up this morning (2/22/12) at 5:55AM, there was no 3G or 4G. I tried to send an email. and it said no network was available. I turned off the phone and turned it back on, and had the same problem. I turned on WiFi, sent the email, turned off WiFi, and went back to sleep. At 9:00AM, I checked again and it had a good 4G signal.Does this phone have a problem, or is it VZW that causes 3G fallback to fail? How can I tell if there was an overall VZW outage this morning or if the phone just wigged out?

I have an iPhone 4 and over the last few days I can't hear anyone when they call me or when I call them, however they can hear me.
