I used the iTunes method and created a m4r file. It shows up under Ringtones in the Library. I just can't get it onto my iPhone even after syncing. Can someone please help me?
Note: I used the exact same method and managed to add a ringtone to my phone a few days ago. But somehow it magically disappeared and now I can't add any ringtones.
I just purchased a Samsung J706 for my son for Christmas. I'm trying to find a way to add custom ringtones to his phone. Provider is Rogers and I know that this in itself will create problems, but I was able to find a work-around for my cell (same provider, different phone). Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more thing, does one have to have a memory card in the phone to add custom ringtones?

I was wondering what you guys did when your iPhone's sleep/power button was frozen. Mine still works, but it is very difficult to use. I have to hit it a few times for it to actually turn off. It is very difficult, and it acts like it is stuck or jammed.

After upgrade of my iphone 5s to ios 7.1.2, I am not able to open iphone ikon- Internal Storage-DCIM - in My computer..The folder is shown as empty.I use Window 8.1 loaded on my Macbook air 13" July 2013 model...Should I stop using iphone for photography and use my Canon DSLR...Taking photo is easy with iphone 5s. But retreiving the photo/video.

The autocorrect feature is somewhat annoying and seems to be less accurate than the iPhone. (Disabling autocorrect, it's even MORE annoying) Also another thing that bothers me is I'm constantly accidentally tapping the period key instead of the space bar. Overall the keyboard isn't as fluid and I find myself typing a lot slower. A lot of times random spaces between letters in words show up..Is it because it lacks multi-touch? Is there any tips on how to make it easier? I like the phone overall, but the keyboard is just annoying me
View 10 Replies View RelatedSeveral times in the last week, I have not had a 4G signal on my Droid 4, and it would not fall back to 3G. All I got was "no network found" or similar wording. I live in Orange County, CA, and signal is usually very good. The only way to get a signal was to power off and back on again. I suppose airplane mode would have forced it to re-seek a signal, but I just thought of that one.
Also, when I woke up this morning (2/22/12) at 5:55AM, there was no 3G or 4G. I tried to send an email. and it said no network was available. I turned off the phone and turned it back on, and had the same problem. I turned on WiFi, sent the email, turned off WiFi, and went back to sleep. At 9:00AM, I checked again and it had a good 4G signal.Does this phone have a problem, or is it VZW that causes 3G fallback to fail? How can I tell if there was an overall VZW outage this morning or if the phone just wigged out?

If my RAZR is plugged into a power outlet and is fully charged, it is very difficult/almost impossible to unlock the screen. I grab the unlock spot on the left ant try to slide it to the right, but it takes several tries, using extra force to get it to slide. Underneath the slide bar I see the message that my RAZR is fully charged and to unplug it from the outlet.If I unplug it first, it unlocks just fine. Guy I work with just got a new one and it's the same way. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this? Obviously this isn't a big deal, but was just curious.
View 12 Replies View Relatedhi guys i bought a new samsung metro s3310. i kinda have problems with the java in it. i installed a oxford dictionary (java)(from mobiles24.com) in that mobile. but that dictionary application works kind a different. wen i installed the same application in nokia and sony ericcson mobile (the left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is for deleting a character). but in samsung metro (left softkey is for selecting a word, right softkey is exit). so i very difficult to handle this kinda applications in this mob. there is similar kinda problem in other java applications also. how to rectify this kinda problem.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

I created two ringtones, not having an issue with that... found a FREE app on the iPhone to download and create a ringtone. I'd created two (2) tones, I want one to be for my wife's number when she calls, and the other to be ID as default when anyone calls, but I can't choose both of the ring tones I created and sync to the iPhone, it only appears as the recent ring tone I sync to the phone.
My specs: 3GS 16GB (NEW since this past Friday 29th of Jan), using Windows Vista and the recent iTunes software for the PC.
Maybe it isn't done?!I when inside "contacts" tried it in there, and to no avail it isn't showing but the recent sync tone I have. I guess the phone had deleted the first and kept the most recent? Can this phone have multiple tones for different (#'s) you have stored on your phone

I am wondering how that will work with imessage if we want to send imessages to each other? We also may want to use the same apps but not want to both pay for them. What is the best way to do this? Also should we have to game center accounts? Sorry I have so many questions. We both have ipads too I just wnat to get it all straightened out. One last thing I won't want my contacts to sync on to my husbands phone but I will want his to be backed up somewhere.....

Have an iPhone 4 wich is synced to an iMac, sync includes, iCal, contacts, notes, music, photo's, movies, music, etc... The works.Problem is, I am currently travelling with my Macbook Air, with no library or syncs, and need to add an additonal Movie onto my iPhone, I realise if I connect it to my macbook, and check *Manually manage.. It will wipe the photos, music, movies etc, I am obivously avoiding this at all costs.My iCloud only holds my iCal, and contact info, so that is not an option either. Is there a way to add to a Pre-synced iPhone from another itunes library??

I just got a new iPhone 4S about five days ago. It's great and I love it, but...for some reason, the phone app crashes when I try to add a contact to favorites. It just quits every time.Â
Is there anything I can do about this? I'd like to keep a few favorites for when I put on "Do Not Disturb" at night so that I can still get important phone calls and still not get social media pings while I'm sleeping.
