HTC :: Touch Dual Internal GPS Was Locked For Use With Their Software Only?
Aug 8, 2010
Does anyone know if the Telus HTC Touch Dual internal GPS was locked for use with their software only? I would like to use Garmin XT on it, but any gps software I try cannot acquire a GPS signal. Can this be unlocked with a registry edit?
I just got HTC touch dual as a gift.I know that it's an old phone but so far I kinda like it except I can not get on the internet or receive MMS. I am on T-Mobile US. I have searched but did not find a definitive answers. Could someone please list step by step of how to enter/configure the internet and MMS on my touch dual?
The adapters are out there. Would any of them fit under the battery cover without bending it or it not securing correctly? maybe an adapter that you cut your sims to fit? Would the stock rom support it? or i would likely have to find a cooked rom to support dual sim right? I would prefer not to cut up my sim cards.
i used the android 1.6 then i try to upgrade to 2.1 using the pc companion, but it can't do as what it says. now the problem repeated again when i want to update to dual touch..
just did the latest upgrade on my x10 thru PC companion...it was done properly. However, I don't notice anything changed esp. on the dual touch (tried gallery/angry bird/browser and even multi touch tester), nothing happened. What's wrong? Is it possible the update actually missing some crucial files?
My ipod touch is locked up. It says to connect to itunes, but when I try to connect it to itunes, it says it cannot connect to my ipod unless i type in the passcode. I can't type in the passcode because it's lock up. What can I do?
We have the Xperia Ray and it has been working fine for about 6 weeks until the other day when the screen stopped working and we are therefore unable to access the phone. We have tried to repair the software twice and that did not work and obviously we are unable to do the reset as not able to access the phone systems.
I am looking for a Dual USB car charger that will work with my motorola phones. I want a charger that will charger both of my parents phones (Moto Q and a Razr) so that they dont have to carry 2 chargers. All of our phones are usb B and I have lots of data cables but I cannot find a charger that will charge them. I have a Q9c and mine shows unaauthorized charger when plugged into a car driven usb port. In the PC they all charge just fine.Does anyone know of a good charger that will charge these phones?? I am assuming that it is the same problem that iPhone users have but I am not sure, and I am sick of buying USB chargers that dont work.
If this is what they say it is I think have solved many problems concerning Cutting any SIM into MicroSIM before using with iPhone, They claimed you can use normal SIM with iPhone 4 and also can use MicroSIM or use both at same time... Very interesting indeed.. comes in 7 different color Cases.
I just bought a portable GPS pod from Dual. It pairs well and appears to work fine with my iPad, but not only can I not pair it with my iPhone 4S, once I try, it disappears from the list of devices until I reboot my iPhone.
In linking to new Playbook, messed up and had to 'start again' with blackberry phone. Messed up also with my old password and after 10 tries it froze. I have gone through password reset process but still blocking me with the message: Your account has been locked. Please try again after the lockout period has expired or call customer service.Any suggestions other than a call to technical desk. I've been researching forums and seems to be the case that lock is indefinite. Incidentally, I didn't see the option after 10 tries to enter word 'blackberry' but it was late at night and frustration had kicked in. Possibly I missed that.
I installed a 3rd party GPS app, and after a few moments toying with it, it did not load the map so I uninstalled it.After restarting, I noticed that my phone has no signal and it reboots every now and then until there's a signal... long story short, it reboots unti it gets a signal from carrier..
After it does get a signal, I tried dialing a number and I get disconnected after 2 seconds and text messages does not send.I have read other forums that it may be a carrier problem (i doubt) but anyway I followed the instruction and it worked as of this writing..
The instruction was to disable Dual Mode and set it to GSM...Phone > Network > set Dual Mode to GSM.
I can now make calls and send and receive SMS.BUT still I want to make the Dual mode working again pre installation of the GPS software.I tried to reinstall 23.002 fw but it looked like it was just a reinstall of some of the FW not reflashing the entire phone.. hence the same apps and settings are still there. Is there a way to restore this to factory firmware? Or I need to wait for another update?
I have a problem with my Z3+ Dual when it's in idle it's turns off and doesn't react on the power button. After that I can turn on my device only with using the high reset button or with pushing the power button + volume button both in the same time. It happens 3-4 times a day.
In this type of mobile phone, there is a possibility to use a dual sim?I Know that in the features of this phone this opportunity is not expected, but I would Know if with some suitable kit I can use dual Sim.
Recently i purchased x1-00 Dual sim mobile. Its manual claims a battery ( stdby) life of some 1030 hrs.however on checking ( stdby with two sims ) it is lasting only 72 hrs appx.On approaching Nokia dealer they say its a cheap model so dont go by claims.
it has contact view problem where you can not select the searched contact ,if u r in doing it from inside of other menu like sms and adding to existing contacts.what is the solution apparently this phone can notbe connected to pC or how to upgrade FW
are there any benefits to dual booting android? do we get the benefits of it i.e. google maps, the app store and flash 10, or is it merely the visuals?

I would like to have 2 SIM cards in my iPhone. I have read some forums that recommend Simore double SIM cards...but i am unsure about the major inconvinients.Does it mean i need to jailbreak my iPhone? Is it working well.Anyone could share his opinion, thoughts and recommendations?
I am not sure whether you all encounter there is no Dual Sim capability in Go SMS Pro when I upgrade my Z3 Dual to Lollipop? I have no issue with the default SMS client though.
The Flash Disk works with and is recognized by other devices, such as Samsung Galaxy S3, Sony Xperia Z3, and Galaxy Note 4. But my newly purchased Z5 compact (Version 5.1.1, Build # 32.0.A.6.200) does not recognize the usb disk. Tried in safe mode, stamina mode, and normal mode. None of them works. Am I missing something, or is the product defective? It even doesn't fit perfectly. The drive fits other phones perfectly.
The icon is near the Wi-Fi on the status bar, is like a sim drawing with dots on it. It is not the "no sim card..." it is similar to a storage card icon...
