I would like to have 2 SIM cards in my iPhone. I have read some forums that recommend Simore double SIM cards...but i am unsure about the major inconvinients.Does it mean i need to jailbreak my iPhone? Is it working well.Anyone could share his opinion, thoughts and recommendations?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI've done a bit of digging, trying to find a solution to my problem before I posted, but most posts in the vein of a Media Card unrecognized/unable to format trail off into "is your SD card bad?" with no response following. So here's where I stand:
My phone: Blackberry Curve 8330
My Carrier: Verizon
My OS: v4.5.0.175
2gb media card has been used in phone since purchase in July '08. As of 2 weeks ago, phone no longer reads media card. Media card is recognized by phone (meaning phone detects whether card is present or not). Error message of "Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted." Attempts to format via phone fail immediately. When plugging into computer via USB (with Mass-Storage Enabled), Blackberry device is recognized, but no media card is present. A greyed-out drive ( I: ) appears in My Computer, but is inaccessable and cannot be checked, opened, or formatted (Error message; "Please insert a disk into drive I: ).
Attempted solutions:
Have used 3 different media cards: 2gb Sony, 2gb PNY, 8gb. Each card tested via SD adapter and all read correctly in My Computer: can move files to/from, checkdisk, and reformat. Have formatted all via PC. Each card gives same error "Media card....formatted" as stated above. Hard reset (battery pull) has no effect. Have removed battery for 48 hours (in case there were any stubborn capacitors, or something like that). Have turned Mass Storage, Encryption, and Media Card support On and Off, removed and reinserted card with each parameter changed, no effect (I can give you the list of all of that, but you get the idea. I'm decently thorough). Rolled back the OS to previous version (via Desktop Manager), problem still exists. Re-upgraded to current version, no change.To sum up, the phone works fine, but the media card may as well not be there. It's not the card(s), and I don't think it's the software, given that I changed the OS up and down, so I'm assuming maybe hardware. I'd appreciate any suggestions, and if you need any further info, I'll do my best to provide.
If this is what they say it is I think have solved many problems concerning Cutting any SIM into MicroSIM before using with iPhone, They claimed you can use normal SIM with iPhone 4 and also can use MicroSIM or use both at same time... Very interesting indeed.. comes in 7 different color Cases.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a portable GPS pod from Dual. It pairs well and appears to work fine with my iPad, but not only can I not pair it with my iPhone 4S, once I try, it disappears from the list of devices until I reboot my iPhone.

I've seen a few dual SIM adapters available whereby one's usual micro-SIM remains inside the iPhone and an external second SIM is connected via a thin ribbon cable; it is then possible to switch between the two SIMs using menus within the iPhone.
When swapping SIMs manually, i.e. ejecting one SIM and inserting another, iMessage is reactivated by sending an SMS to +44 7537 4102X1 (where X can be any digit from 0 to 9). Given that one typically swaps SIMs when roaming, it can become expensive to swap SIMs frequently. Can anyone confirm whether iMessage remains active when swapping SIMs via the iPhone menus? I'm also wondering whether perhaps iMessage even remains active on both numbers simultaneously, even though standard SMS obviously would not do so.

The new features of iPhone 4 don't interest me; I think the older iPhone 3GS is fine for my needs, but I want more than 8 GB, ideally 32 GB. Also, I want a new one, not a used one. My question is should I buy one now (while they are still officially listed for $199) or will they go on sale when the 4 comes out? Or will they disappear from the market and I'll have missed my chance?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI was considering buying an iPhone but I'm a little hesitant because I think Apple may be updating it very soon. Do you think now is a good time to buy? From what I can gather, there's a good chance it will be updated in around June/July like it usually has been. My biggest concern, though, is that when Apple does a major update to the firmware (software?), will a current 3GS be able to update to it as well? Hardware changes seem less important to me because while there are bound to be some changes, overall, most things will probably remain similar. Things like an OLED would be nice, but not as important to me... I don't believe they will add much power to the device because new apps would come out requiring more power, and older iPhone owners may not be able to use them.
Also, while some amazing Android phones are sure to come out this year, I can't keep waiting for them. I would probably choose the Google Nexus One over the iPhone, but it will probably still be some time before it comes to Canada (and probably only WIND Mobile will get it.) As long as the iPhone can keep matching Android's features via firmware updates, I wouldn't mind hanging onto the 3GS when the new iPhone comes out.
Those are my thoughts, what do you guys think?
If i had the money to buy an iPad id want to put it into my dashboard of my car. That would have been a better idea for apple to market the iPad. That way you can have a music player, gps, maps, watch videos, not sure what else but on a big screen like that in the car would be nice. I think iphone and ipod touch are too small to use in the car. I dont know why apple didnt think of doing this in the first place. Be able to put it and detatch it from the dashboard cuz you wouldnt wanna leave it in the car. Another good thing to use it as would be like an mpc with intua beatmaker app if you make music. It would be way cheaper than buying an mpc. What would be some other good uses for it?

I was almost decided on 16GB till my friends told me that 5 megapixel photos will be much larger than 2 megapixel ones. Also HD video will be large. I am only using 5GB out of my 8GB phone now. I have 3GB of music and about 600 pictures on my phone. And yes about 150 applications. I don't need movies or TV shows. So just for Higher resolution pics and video, do I need 32GB over 16GB?

I am looking for a Dual USB car charger that will work with my motorola phones. I want a charger that will charger both of my parents phones (Moto Q and a Razr) so that they dont have to carry 2 chargers. All of our phones are usb B and I have lots of data cables but I cannot find a charger that will charge them. I have a Q9c and mine shows unaauthorized charger when plugged into a car driven usb port. In the PC they all charge just fine.Does anyone know of a good charger that will charge these phones?? I am assuming that it is the same problem that iPhone users have but I am not sure, and I am sick of buying USB chargers that dont work.

I know the iPhone has water sensors in almost every port and i want to make sure they don't turn orange and activate.When they apply the shield for you do you get to watch or do they do it in a back room somewhere?
Has anyone gotten this done and how has it turned out? Would you recommend getting the shield put on by Best Buy employees or DIY?I've never had any experience with the protectors that need water or some sort of liquid to be applied. I have put on some cheap screen protectors on my old 3GS and they worked great but i can't seem to find any protectors that cover both the front and back of the phone (sides would be nice too) that don't need liquid to adhere to the phone.
If anyone knows of a phone protector that covers both the front and back of the phone and can be applied without spray it would be extremely helpful. If there are any that include side protection too that would help.
just got my new iphone yesterday and i love it, but one thing has been bothering me. i got it downloaded 5-6 apps using the app store on the phone and than i got a ringtone. check my data usage using the at&t app and its at .12mb. go over to my friends, watch a 5 min Internet video on it and its still at .12mb. woke up today and it was 104.5mb out of my 200mb allowance. after wondering what was going on i switched it so that when im in my house it uses my wifi, but than i check my data usage again and its now at 113.8mb. is this right or is there something running on my phone that is just killing my data use?in short, does 5-6 downloaded apps, 30 min of internet use (facebook/espn), and a 5 min Internet video = 113.8mb?
