I want to have Nakia Maps kind of stuff, which is great software for GPS Navigation. Why SE is not giving any free GPS Navigation like Nokia?

May 17, 2010I am wondering if anybody else is having the following issue with the Ovi Maps:Say that I need to walk to a certain destination.I first go to Find Places and I type the name of the street which is my destination. However, in most of the cases the answer is "No result found offline".I have to mention that I have downloaded the England maps on the phone.
To be honest this is very annoying as it seems the application is not able to recognize any of the destinations I am interest in (for example, as I live in London and I want to drive to B&Q in Beckton, there is no way for me to find the B&Q's address with the OVi Maps).So, I am just left with the option to look where the store is located on my computer and then manually navigate on the Ovi Map and set that point as destination.
Nokia Navigation :: Unable To Find Maps 3.01 For E90
Jun 19, 2012I recently reinstalled the firmware to my E90 Communicator but now I can't find the latest Maps application (3.01) anywhere. After the reinstallation my device only has the 2.0 Maps.
Both the firmware of the device and my Nokia Suite are the latest versions available. I sent Nokia an email and they replied that the Maps can be downloaded thru Nokia Suite, but I don't see any download links there.
Nokia Store's website simply states that the (newest) Maps application is not available for the E90 - but none of the older versions can be found. The same goes for Mail for Exchange - that was lost in the process as well and no longer available for this model from Nokia.

Jul 31, 2011Sincer the GB update when I run the navigation app and tap the contacts option for a destination, it says that my contacts have no adresses. This is of course is incorrect. I have rebooted and even done a battery pull. I have avoided doing a full reset in the hopes someone here knows a fix for this.

The new features of iPhone 4 don't interest me; I think the older iPhone 3GS is fine for my needs, but I want more than 8 GB, ideally 32 GB. Also, I want a new one, not a used one. My question is should I buy one now (while they are still officially listed for $199) or will they go on sale when the 4 comes out? Or will they disappear from the market and I'll have missed my chance?

Jan 11, 2010I was considering buying an iPhone but I'm a little hesitant because I think Apple may be updating it very soon. Do you think now is a good time to buy? From what I can gather, there's a good chance it will be updated in around June/July like it usually has been. My biggest concern, though, is that when Apple does a major update to the firmware (software?), will a current 3GS be able to update to it as well? Hardware changes seem less important to me because while there are bound to be some changes, overall, most things will probably remain similar. Things like an OLED would be nice, but not as important to me... I don't believe they will add much power to the device because new apps would come out requiring more power, and older iPhone owners may not be able to use them.
Also, while some amazing Android phones are sure to come out this year, I can't keep waiting for them. I would probably choose the Google Nexus One over the iPhone, but it will probably still be some time before it comes to Canada (and probably only WIND Mobile will get it.) As long as the iPhone can keep matching Android's features via firmware updates, I wouldn't mind hanging onto the 3GS when the new iPhone comes out.
Those are my thoughts, what do you guys think?

Feb 4, 2010If i had the money to buy an iPad id want to put it into my dashboard of my car. That would have been a better idea for apple to market the iPad. That way you can have a music player, gps, maps, watch videos, not sure what else but on a big screen like that in the car would be nice. I think iphone and ipod touch are too small to use in the car. I dont know why apple didnt think of doing this in the first place. Be able to put it and detatch it from the dashboard cuz you wouldnt wanna leave it in the car. Another good thing to use it as would be like an mpc with intua beatmaker app if you make music. It would be way cheaper than buying an mpc. What would be some other good uses for it?

Also HD video will be large. I am only using 5GB out of my 8GB phone now. I have 3GB of music and about 600 pictures on my phone. And yes about 150 applications. I don't need movies or TV shows. So just for Higher resolution pics and video, do I need 32GB over 16GB?

I know the iPhone has water sensors in almost every port and i want to make sure they don't turn orange and activate.When they apply the shield for you do you get to watch or do they do it in a back room somewhere?
Has anyone gotten this done and how has it turned out? Would you recommend getting the shield put on by Best Buy employees or DIY?I've never had any experience with the protectors that need water or some sort of liquid to be applied. I have put on some cheap screen protectors on my old 3GS and they worked great but i can't seem to find any protectors that cover both the front and back of the phone (sides would be nice too) that don't need liquid to adhere to the phone.
If anyone knows of a phone protector that covers both the front and back of the phone and can be applied without spray it would be extremely helpful. If there are any that include side protection too that would help.

Jul 3, 2010just got my new iphone yesterday and i love it, but one thing has been bothering me. i got it downloaded 5-6 apps using the app store on the phone and than i got a ringtone. check my data usage using the at&t app and its at .12mb. go over to my friends, watch a 5 min Internet video on it and its still at .12mb. woke up today and it was 104.5mb out of my 200mb allowance. after wondering what was going on i switched it so that when im in my house it uses my wifi, but than i check my data usage again and its now at 113.8mb. is this right or is there something running on my phone that is just killing my data use?in short, does 5-6 downloaded apps, 30 min of internet use (facebook/espn), and a 5 min Internet video = 113.8mb?
