I have a problem with the gps navigation software that came with the phone. It used to be working, but now it seems that it can't find my location, although I have the gps signal activated.
View 5 Repliesif I start Navigation, it says: "Checking the availability of the navigation-function." Nothing more. Navigation wont let me in the Program. The message could be written different in english, because i have got it in german: "Verfügbarkeit der Navigationsfunktion wir überprüft".So, what is the matter? Why it's only checking? I went out for it, had free view to the sky, didn't put my fingers on the GPS reciever.....It checked for about 30 mins now, and nothing happens.

A few app's say that my GPs is turned off when its not and the weather widget can't find my location, and whem i'm lucky it does but gets it completly wrong, usealy about 15km in the wrong direction. Strangely a lot of GPS requierd app's work fine. Rebooting the phone hasn't worked and re-instal the non working app's neither. At first i thought the problems where in the app's but I find it hard to belive that that many app's have the same problem and also the weather widget that was factory installed doesn't work properly.

Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!
If set up my house as a safe location so I wouldn't have to unlock with code when I'm at home, but it doesn't work. How can I get it to work? It is set up at the right address, are there any other settings I should look in to?

The auto detection of location does not work. I have set the update interval to every 2 hours.
Before i left for work the location on the weather widget is "Kampong San Teng"
When i reach office and after 2 hours the location is still "Kampong San Teng" only when i manually go to weather widget and tap on use my location then it will change to "Buona Vista".
sent an off market file to my phone via bluetooth which did not install because i had not unchecked the 'install off market' applications.after that i now cant find the files location to install it.

I am using 3.06on and E6 and am logged in properly to maps and have no problems checking in and using existing locations.

Used weather widget there, and it showed me USA local weather for Wayne, near Philadelphia.I am home now in Novi Sad and weather widget still shows "Weather for Wayne'' and the temperatures and forecast are for Novi Sad. I tried to go put get GPS lock on Novi Sad in Drive. No change. I can not remove ''Wayne'' in any way I tried. I even tried to move the movie to the / but that didn't help.When I use a file explorer there is no problem finding the movies and playing them, but the phones movie player can't find them. how I can get the movie player to list my movies so I can play them without using a file explorer to find the movies first?

By default, a lot of stuff, directions, routes, info comes in Arabic language. Now, i am an expat living in UAE (like the other 90% of the population) and i do not read or understand Arabic. View 4 Replies View RelatedIf you have a Defect Tracking System, I can seriously take up the job of Ad-Hoc tester.The first time I tried the Backup, I was connected to PC companion ( I was going to perform a repair, I wanted to back up first)Turns out that Backup doesn't see the memory card if the phone is connected through USB.
1- It should at least improve the error message and indicate that Backup operation can't be performed while connected via USB.
2- Why can't it perform the backup while connected via USB in the first place? In fact it would be great to allow the back up to store the data in a directory in the PC via PC COMPANION.
im using xperia mini pro with ics updated yesterday. everything works fine but when im using the camera,i cant find any button to switch between the two camera.
