I am seriously thinking of getting the Nokia 5530 for my next phone but i have a few questions if you dont mind me asking? 1. Can you put your own songs on there from your pc & then listen to them in the mp3 player? 2. Is it easy to use? 3. Has it got good battery life? 4. What is the radio like on it?
So this will be my first iPhone and I'm wondering if you have some recommendations for apps. Preferably free, but cheap paid apps are ok too. :-) I'm cheap. I'm not much into games, but not opposed to suggestions either. I'm a musician so good music apps are appreciated.
I already downloaded Pandora, SoundHound, AT&T myWireless, Bump, Mint.com, USA Today, and Wells Fargo Mobile
So after connecting to my wifi, (which I have been able to do forever) it gives me the wifi signal strength up in the top left corner, signal strength is good, but internet does nothing.
So I've been experimenting with a bunch of free texting apps for iPhone and am a bit disappointed. The ones with decent interfaces such as Textfree and Textnow are both plagued by the problem that they send texts from different phone numbers every time you send a text. While this isn't really a huge problem for people with regular phones, iPhone users get irritated because texts will come in from different numbers, causing the text log to balloon in size and makes it difficult to keep track of conversations.
The only texting app that doesn't seem to behave this way is Textplus, which I loathe. The interface is complete and utter crap. The app runs so slowly and the texts are limited to 140 characters in length. These characteristics are true even for the paid version.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any texting app that has a fast and smooth UI as well as sends texts from the same number each time?
Is BB Curve 9320 good for mobile internet?I'm planning to have unlimited internet plan for my mobile BB Curve 9320, is my unit good for mobile internet?
Okay, once again I return here to seek guidance and wisdom. Fellow members here told me about Air Video, a terrific set of programs for iOS and OS X to stream videos from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone 4. Now, my other need (?). I want to run something on my Mac that lets me select Internet radio station streams like TuneIn for ex., but I want to be able to change selections on whatever is on the Mac from the iPhone 4. What I want to do is use the iPhone 4 as a remote for the app on the Mac which I want to connect to either some external speakers or someday to a real external Dac, amp, and speakers.
I have the TuneIn Pro app on my iPhone 4 already and on the Mac via browser have accessed their website. Now someone surely is going to mention Airplay or something to stream from the iPhone4. From the cost of Airplay capable hardware, I just can't afford it yet. Maybe if I could find Bluetooth speaker or device?
One other thing to throw in for thought. I have not only iTunes on my MacBook Pro, but also Fidelia and Amarra, and thinking about Decibel or Audirvana. In other words somewhat hi-def music output quality available on the Mac. So....I do have a remote app for Fidelia and think there's one for either Decibel or Audirvana, so that brings me back to Internet radio on the MacBook Pro. If I can find a way to use the iPhone 4 to select an app on the Mac for Internet radio, I can play those plus hi-def music via one of those programs. If nothing else, can you recommend inexpensive Bluetooth speakers to play radio from the iPhone4? I was hoping to buy some AudioEngine powered speakers for the Mac, hence the desire to run all sound/music through that device but using the iPhone4 as control device.
Massive letdown, can't get decent apps, each time I find a good app it tells me my device/carrier does not accept it. Sky mobile looks excellent but my carrier won't accept, any way round this?
Just dropped off my new Bold 9000 and I feel like a kid at Christmas. The CS was right when she said it would be early this week. I am so looking forward to exploring everything about this device. I thinkg I will wait a little while befor I install OS 5.0. I am coming from a Curve 8310 so this device is bound to be a vast improvement. I want to download a couple of apps. that might be beneficial to me. I did try to download theweather eye beta from pelmorex, but I was unsuccessful on my curve. If anyone has any suggestions as to useful apps, feel free to respond.
I had my iphone plugged into some speakers and listening to Pandora. Suddenly music quit and now I can't get my speakers to play music (music/apps/radio). However, they will work when I have speaker phone on.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, speakers quit no music
I recently (Aug 2014) updated my iphone 4 and now I am unable to stream any radio from apps on my phone. For example "Tune in " app.Phone wont even start to buffer ! Have tried turning phone right off and on again but this made no difference.

I like to listen to an internet radio station from Ireland. My Blackberry says the format is not supported. Is there a way for me to listen to this sattion on my blackberry?
Just bought my new Samsung Galaxy S6 and I was wondering if there is any app that i can download to listen to FM Radio (as you know S6 doesn't has FM Radio) but without using any internet connection??
Does anyone know if any decent (and free ?) live webradio application exists for nokia touchscreen phones ? I have just looked everywhere on the web but have not find anything ! This is amazing, one can find many webradio applications for iphones and android mobiles but nothing for nokia touch ! I am a 10 years Nokia fan so Nokia please be carfull otherwise it can be the beginning of the end if such basic applications are not developped.
I have a problem with my N79. When I try to connect the radio I found only 2 options Visual Radio and Internet Radio. I suposse that the first option (Visual Radio) is the option to play FM radio and that it's free but when i check out my account after playing the radio i found that i've been charged. Is there any other option to play radio that i don't know?
I am a Brit based in Germany, and I would like to listen to Radio 5, Talksport, etc, on my 2730 whilst at work. Doing so on my work PC is not allowed.
Although I can access the radio station websites, I obviously now need to load some sort of basic windows media player to get streaming and sound. I tried loading Windows Media 9, for example, but get a "file format" not supported/not recognised.
So, please may I ask, how do I play Radio 5, Talksport, etc?
Does anyone know what the address for the BBC Radio streams that are in the Nokia Internet Radio application? I can't find any other working MP3 addresses for the various BBC stations.
I am a fan of Internet Radio and love the FM transmitter (Play via Radio) built into the N8. The best thing is that one can use both at the same time to transmit an internet radio stream to an FM radio!
One bad day I decided to follow the highlighted Nokia remark urging me to update the Internet Radio software..... I have Anna installed and Anna update 2/2 includes IR version 3.03. The download and installation via Nokia Store went smooth and version 3.04 was up and running soon.
Side-remark 1: how can one see on store.ovi.com which SW version is being offered? I can only see version information using the nokia store app on the phone. Displaying the version in the on-line store would be very helpful!
Side-remark 2: the IR version on offer through the nokia store app is 3.4.0. After installation it states version 3.04..... I found this very confusing. Is this a regular numbering convention for Nokia?
Side-remark 3: did anyone see any differences between 3.03 and 3.04? Both look very much alike! What is the reason for going from 3.03 to 3.04? I do think that 3.03 could be looking a lot better!
With version 3.04 up and running, I decided to start the FM transmitter. The very moment you press the on button the radio stream stops. In the widget for internet radio, the play symbol is now visible. Pressing it to turn the stream back on, the music plays for a fraction of a second before the stream is again stopped. No matter what I tried, I cannot use the FM transmitter together with the Internet Radio 3.04 app.
I searched the internet for the 3.03 version and re-installed it after removing 3.04. Fortunately I can now again run the Internet Radio and the FM transmitter at the same time Is there a solution for this? Why Nokia doesn't test such basic things before releasing the update?
I have a blackberry 8330 and my carrier is Metro PCS---I've tried to get Pandora but naturally it doesn't work on my phone, or with my carrier or something----does anybody else have Metro PCS and internet radio??? How did you do it?
