IPhone 4 Has Stopped Streaming Radio From Apps Since Recent Update
Sep 2, 2014
I recently (Aug 2014) updated my iphone 4 and now I am unable to stream any radio from apps on my phone. For example "Tune in " app.Phone wont even start to buffer ! Have tried turning phone right off and on again but this made no difference.
OK I'm totally a newbie with BlackBerry and this is my second post on here.I live here in the US but I'm Brazilian and am going crazy over the world cup.I want really badly to stream live radio via the browser on BB but it won't work because it needs a Flash Plug In for one station and a Windows Media Player for another. Is there anyway that we can stream live video and radio outside Sprint TV?
Received the 5.1.1 OTA update on 01 August. Most everything is running smoothly. However, since the update, streaming audio through my car's head unit via Bluetooth has stopped working properly. The music has a slightly increased tempo, and it skips every few seconds. There's also some static in the background. Listening to music (with Play or stock App) on headphones works fine.
In one of my mates phone (nokia n95), he can stream his own fm radio (e.g when a song is playing, he can listen through the car's fm). Can this be done with nokia x6, or I need another 3rd party apps.
Running stock and last few days tunein just stops as it's streaming and I have to go back into the app and press play again. Always happens when screen is off.
I keep pulling sites from the internet, but nothing truly works well if not at all.I'm actually a talk radio junky, so I'd like to get some AM stations to play on my device.I had vuivision working before they got pulled, streaming television, so I know there's no problem streaming media.
Last night I finally installed 3.2.1 in my 3GS. I then synced it with my brand new MacBook Pro.Now nothing works except what came with it. Any app I try to open kicks me back out to the home screen.I have tried turning it off and on but that has done nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
There is no pre-installed Fm radio on my Motorola Charm, though it there in the specifications. How can I play fm radio on my Charm without any internet streaming? Is there any android application which works in doing so?
updated my new iPhone 6 plus to 8.1.1 and the maps app won't work just crashes everytime it's opened so everything that uses a link to it eg:- find my friend, find my phone, Argos app facebook if someone puts their location on which shows the map all crash. And my safari just crashes when ever it likes.
AFter recent upgrade to ios 8.1.1, my iphone 6 no longer makes text alert sounds and ring does not sound for incoming calls (except on car bluetooth).Â
I've got a 3g and up until last Friday I was able to play my iPhones iPod and Aol Radio app thru a stero cable and into my cars radio.
But now it's stopped. It plays but it's very very low. I thought it was the cable so I had a friend play their iPhone into my car with the same stero cable and it works for them. But when I plug mine in it's low low low. I haven't updated to 3.1.2 or whatever the newest software version is.
It has frequently been said that backgrounded streaming audio apps do not actually remain active in memory, but merely hand over their streaming task to the OS. I, too, thought this was how it worked, but I can now confirm that this is not true. Streaming audio apps run in the background on iOS in a way that is indistinguishable from natively-multitasking apps like iPod
I have a jailbroken 3GS and can verify that both the Pandora and Tunein Radio processes continue to run in the background when closed just like native apps. I have Pandora streaming in the background right now and can tell you that its process is definitely running and is using 16.3 MB of memory. Not only that, but the processes do not close even when the music is paused and the app window is closed. I just stopped playing music in Pandora and closed the Pandora window. It continues to run in the background and is using 15.3 MB of memory. Manually closing the app using the tap hold close method in the multitasking bar does actually close the app.
I suspect that if the OS needs memory it will close such an app. I don't think it really changes how we will interact with our phones, and we shouldn't need to manually close things as long as iOS manages memory effectively. Still, this is not how most of us understoodd the APIs working.
I was lead to believe, from scouring these forums, that double tapping the home button will give a list of recent apps.if I open a multitasking app like the new eBay app (updated today) then close it using the home key and then reopen it it's righ where it left off as it should be.Now if I double tap hold down eBay and delete it from the list the next time I open eBay it opens from scratch.
So the list in the double tap screen is not a list of recent apps but a task manager to what is currently multitasking. For those apps that start from scratch just don't have the multitasking programmer into them.
I have a problem , my iphone 4s sometimes stops opening apps I bought on the app store and most of the time I have to uninstall them and download them again on icloud. This does not fix the problem permanently. Could it be my recent upgrade to the latest version of IOS?
I updated my iPhone 4 last Sunday and since then, every time I send a text to a non-iMessage user, if the text is over 20 characters, I'm being told that it cuts off the last word and sends it as a second text to my friends. Is anyone else having this trouble? I know it isn't a big issue, but it's annoying to my friends to send two messages and the second only has one word in it. I'm with Sprint, but I can't imagine it being a carrier problem, right?
Most recently having severe battery drainage on my 4s and also my partners 4, is this possible due to recent 5.1 update or could it be associated with an app update ? Which there have been several since 5.1 was released, I,m not sure also but my new iPad possibly maybe showing similar effects. As mentioned this all has happened over the last few days. Could there be a conflict with an App and iOS 5.1 ? This has become so frustrating as my battery only now lasts a few hours before re-charging. Can Apple please look into this issue, as I,m sure there must be other users with same issue. Please find a fix for this problem.
Is anyone else experiencing the life being sucked out of their battery after the recent version 5.1.1 iphone software update? Last update to 5.0 did the same thing, but there was a patch released a few weeks afterwards. Any info on when a patch for this most recent version update will be released? Thanks!!
iphone 4s working fine. Updated to 7.1.1 and text messages / imessages sporadically sent. Notification of unsent message sometime hours late. the same thing happened after the last update. am I doing something wrong? I'm quite old fashioned and simply want my phone to function without digging through lengthy troubleshooting pages. apple products used to simply 'work' now it seems .
Switching between apps is something I do a lot. I double tap the home button and then select the app that's one before last many times. Is there a way to do this much faster?
Maybe some way to use two fingers to flip between these 2 apps? It would be a huge productivity boost for me.
I haven't read anything lately regarding the problem jailbroken phones have when runinng the last Skype update, in regards to multitasking and background support.
Are there any news? Is it due to mobile substrate? I'm just curious since I haven't seen any talk about this.
So I've had the M8 for a couple of weeks,I've NEVER used the 'Recent Apps' button, except to clear out all of the recently used apps, thinking maybe its gonna free up some memory and make the phone faster or something. I wish you could modify this button to maybe something you actually USE more, like 'Settings', or go back to the much missed 'Menu' button. I have immediate access to over 50 apps/actions on my home screen, so it would actually be slower to bring up the 'Recent Apps' screen to access an app.
