I haven't read anything lately regarding the problem jailbroken phones have when runinng the last Skype update, in regards to multitasking and background support.
Are there any news? Is it due to mobile substrate? I'm just curious since I haven't seen any talk about this.
I just wanted to ask if this model supports skype, if not which other models supports skype?

View 24 Replies View Relatedi currently have an iphone 3gs with 3.1.2 jailbroken. it was manufactured in week 29 of last year according to my serial number. does that mean i have the old boot rom/non MC-model? i know 3.1.3 has no new features. the only reason i have to update is because my cydia/apt is screwed up and the only way to fix it is to restore. itunes will not let me restore my 3.1.2 without updating (yes, i tried the shift/option button thing).i just want to know if i upgrade to 3.1.3, will i be able to jailbreak with snow breeze?p.s. i know i can upgrade and downgrade using saurik's method, but that's just too much work.
View 24 Replies View RelatedIt took me all nite, but I was able to re-jailbreak my iPhone 3GS after I got stuck in reboot mode after a network reset and was forced to update to 3.1.3. This happened almost 3 weeks ago, and I not only lost my jailbreak, but all of the apps, photos and EVERYTHING that I had on my phone as after I did the update to 3.1.3 I could only set up my phone as a new device. Anyway, I searched online and I found all of the tools I needed to accomplish this task. I downloaded Redsn0w 0.9.2, BlackRa1n RC3, The 3.1.2 ispw firmware, and iRecovery. I also found a post on hacking the drivers folder in the Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts file in Windows that would allow 3.1.3 to be downloaded to 3.1.2. It took a couple of hours and some patience, but when all was said and done I was able to downgrade the firmware and re-jailbreak my phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI Jailbroke my iPhone using Redsnow 0.9.5 when firmware 4.0 first came out and all went well.Since that time, i have jailbroken a buddy of mine's iPhone, and i saw that the software has changed from "0.9.5" to --> "0.9.5b5-5"
I'm thinking there must of been something in the jailbreak software that they changed if they created another update to it, and I'd like my iPhone to be as up to date with jailbreak software as possible.
To re-Jailbreak it with 0.9.5b5-5 am I going to have take my jailbreak off, which consists of restoring my iPhone and losing everything, including everything I have downloaded from Cydia. or could I just re-run the jailbreak software, on my already already jailbroken iPhone and it just patch and overwrite the existing jailbreak. or would it double the jailbreak software onto my iPhone?
I updated my facebook app on my iphone 4 and 3gs. after update it cannot connect to facebook. im not sure if its the jailbreak or the unlock from ultrasn0w.

I am able to create folders, but for some reason I cannot multitask at all, and my friends cameras now work much faster than mine, which has stayed at the speed it always was. The upgrade to version 4.0 has only given me the ability to create folders, and absolutely nothing else.

Wouldn't it make more [sense] to be able to choose which apps will multitask and which will not, say in settings with a maker next to each app or something?
I have been playing around after installing a beta from bigboss's beta repo that gets rid of recent apps, and only keeps backgrounder apps in the multitasking in bar. All the official apps work in he background (maps, app store, camera,etc.)After freeing memory with sbsettings, (once again beta that "free mem" is not glitched), these apps takes a lot less memory than they did before. Mobile music only uses approx 10-15mb now, a lot less than before. I could run maps, app store, music, and angry birds flawlessly. this was all on a regular 3g. BTW: Bigboss beta repo: thebigboss. org /betarepo/the music controls also work fine in the "double click multitask" menu, as does the rotation lock. the ipones' as zippy as ever
View 9 Replies View RelatedI updated my iPhone 4 last Sunday and since then, every time I send a text to a non-iMessage user, if the text is over 20 characters, I'm being told that it cuts off the last word and sends it as a second text to my friends. Is anyone else having this trouble? I know it isn't a big issue, but it's annoying to my friends to send two messages and the second only has one word in it. I'm with Sprint, but I can't imagine it being a carrier problem, right?

Most recently having severe battery drainage on my 4s and also my partners 4, is this possible due to recent 5.1 update or could it be associated with an app update ? Which there have been several since 5.1 was released, I,m not sure also but my new iPad possibly maybe showing similar effects. As mentioned this all has happened over the last few days. Could there be a conflict with an App and iOS 5.1 ? This has become so frustrating as my battery only now lasts a few hours before re-charging. Can Apple please look into this issue, as I,m sure there must be other users with same issue. Please find a fix for this problem.
