Mar 30, 2012I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.

Jun 29, 2014I'm trying to get some apps but when i try to get in to apple store it says cant connect but I have an iPhone 5c!? even if I have full wifi it still says that it won't connect. Also I saw i had a missed FaceTime call and for some reason it needed my Apple ID password but I'm always in there and it never needs my password. So I type my password...... It doesn't work i do it again it doesn't work! So I reset my password, I type it.

My mac is set to never sleep, but when I activate it after long periods of inactivity I notice that my Wi-Fi has to reconnect. I'm assuming the wi-fi drops out while the mac is not in use (though itunes is still playing music), and I cannot connect via the Remote app.

Sep 6, 2010I'm in the middle of the latest software update using my PC based laptop. I'm at the restore stage and now it's stalled with a message saying "Device Encryption is Turned On. Your Blackberry Device is currently locked. To continue unlock your device". I've turned off encryption on the device, but the latop is frozen on the error message and I can't seem to move to any other screen in the update mode. Anyway able to offer a solution?

Mar 14, 2012My phone said to download update so I did which then lead to the itune connect screen. I connected my phone to the PC and opened itunes which gave me the message that it did not recognize my phone and would have to restore factory setting. I tried to reboot my phone by holding down both buttons (no red slider ever appears) until it turned off. Once I turned it back on it went right back to that screen. I tried to restore factory setting and it gave me an error.
This is now know as the SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!
Anyone know what's going on? I've already tried this[URL]did not work.
It's like the worst case of the Monday's on Wednesday with 5 meeting lined up and NO PHONE!

May 3, 2012I just deleted an iMessage thread on accident. I went to plug my phone in to restore from a backup I did last night, but of course it automatically synced as soon as I plugged it in, and now it wants to restore from the backup it just made (in which the messages have already been deleted). Is there a way to select a backup point inm the past that is not the most recent one? I am not using iCloud (yet).

Apr 26, 2012I recently restored my iPhone4 on my Mac computer and I'm absolutely freaking out because my iTunes will not locate the correct backup (even when I left click on the iPhone icon in iTunes tool bar and select "Restore from Backup"). However, I can locate the file on my computer from the Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup. I've tried dragging it a bunch of different places/renaming the file to get it to show up in iTunes but nothing's working I saw that before I completed the most recent backup, it said the date before that was around mid-Jan 2012. The only backup file my iTunes can find is from 2010! My phone is not jail broken but if that's what it would take to get all of my data back.... I'm basically deserate.

Mar 12, 2010Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.
