Jun 29, 2010When I doubled clicked the home button the multitask icons appeared. I accidentally deleted the text icon and need to put it back. How can I put this back?

Galaxy S5 :: How To Turn Off Multitask And Back Button
Jun 21, 2014I have recently switched to from the iphone 4s to the new Samsung Galaxy S5. Everything about the phone is great except the annoying multitasking and back button that i keep accidentally "touch" when playing games, watching full screen vids, etc. Is there a way to make the side "buttons" less sensitive or move it to the home button like the iphone? This way, I can hold the phone with both hands and not accidentally stop what i'm doing by literally/barely grazing those two corners.

Jul 14, 2010I may be missing something very basic here, but myself and two mates have just upgraded to iOS4. I am able to create folders, but for some reason I cannot multitask at all, and my friends cameras now work much faster than mine, which has stayed at the speed it always was. The upgrade to version 4.0 has only given me the ability to create folders, and absolutely nothing else.

Sep 7, 2010I'm sure this has been posted before, but, does anyone agree that it's a bit clumsy how multitasking is handled? I mean you have to manually close each app that you don't want running in the background.
Wouldn't it make more [sense] to be able to choose which apps will multitask and which will not, say in settings with a maker next to each app or something?

Jun 19, 2010I have been playing around after installing a beta from bigboss's beta repo that gets rid of recent apps, and only keeps backgrounder apps in the multitasking in bar. All the official apps work in he background (maps, app store, camera,etc.)After freeing memory with sbsettings, (once again beta that "free mem" is not glitched), these apps takes a lot less memory than they did before. Mobile music only uses approx 10-15mb now, a lot less than before. I could run maps, app store, music, and angry birds flawlessly. this was all on a regular 3g. BTW: Bigboss beta repo: thebigboss. org /betarepo/the music controls also work fine in the "double click multitask" menu, as does the rotation lock. the ipones' as zippy as ever

Jun 29, 2012I deleted the backup file while trying to update to 5.1.1. My phone wouldn't update and I read that I needed to delete the previous backup (bad idea). Well after I updated OS I can't backup to get my previous files and contacts. This is horrible and I am lost at this point on what to do. And I haven't been using iCloud.

I did not have any backup.Â
From what I have read, it is possible to recover the photos (ie, "don't use the iphone so the data is overwritten") but I have zero idea how to do that.Â

May 17, 2012When I delete an email on my computer, in Outlook, it does not delete it on my iPhone. However, if I delete an email on my iphone, it will be deleted on my computer's Outlook. When I open an email, in either place, it will show up as read in both. This is whole issue is also taking place with my iPad. I have reset my Outlook on my iPhone several times, yet it is still not sycning.

Jul 5, 2012My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

I seriously, 100% and completely agree with you. I really believe in the touch screen. I love it for everything I do on there. I don't think physical keyboards are easier like some people keep crowing, but GOD, the on-screen camera button is SO EFFING TERRIBLE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! It makes it so awkward to hold the phone and push the button. There is a level of deep-rooted frustration that pops up when using any piece of technology other than my iphone. The only time that frustrated feeling takes over with the iphone is when I have to use that on-screen button to take a picture. It's a pain in the ass, taking multiple pictures sucks, taking pictures quickly sucks, being unaware of my surrounding while i'm concentrating on threading the needle that is making sure i hit the button correctly sucks. It takes the fun out of photography, it takes the spontaneity away and negates the whole advantage of having a camera with you at all times.
Please somebody beg, borrow, or kidnap steve into making the Perfectly positioned to be a shutter button in a comfortable and funny way that just works. Volume button into a camera shutter / video start stop button when the camera button is open.or at least give me the option. I did some looking and the Camera Zoom 2 app has this as an option. Anybody know of any others? I don't like being stuck using a 3rd party camera app as I'd rather use the one that apple designed to work best with their camera. Maybe I'm just paranoid about other camera apps taking longer, and taking worse pictures, but I really want apple to make this an option.

Motorola Xoom :: Pictures Deleted In Gallery Partially Deleted?
May 18, 2011I have deleted 4 pictures in the gallery app from the sdcard/pictures directory. I exited the gallery and returned some time later and ther is now a seperate album showing 4 pictures with no thumbnail and the won't open. These blank pics have the same file names as the ones deleted and are stored in the same directory. Getting info on these pics shows the original file size and name, but with a resolution of 0x0 and they can't be opened. Exploring the sdcard/pictures directory with file explorer does not show the 4 files in question.
Update- I shut down my Xoom and restarted. Launched the Gallery app. The blank picture album appeared momentarily and then disappeared.
