Just moved from a iphone and love this M8 but I have few questions about the default email app. I have my work exchange email setup as well as a personal live account, I flagg alot of my emails so I can attend to them later but I can't find anywhere how I can view/filter my flagged emails. Also is there a way that the images display automatically rather than pressing display images every time. Lastly emails do not render/fit on the page instead I have always zoom in and even then they still don't fit have to scroll left and right.
I've just upgraded my 9700 to OS 6 today. The new system looks great. In the email inbox, I found the shortcut ALT+F, which is supposed to display all my flagged emails, not working. Did a little google search and found that all the solutions available are for OS 5. Some of them mentioned setting criteria in the search option. However, in OS 6, I found the search option quite "clean". I couldn't find any way to set the search criteria and therefore there's no way for me to display all my flagged emails at one glance. This is quite annoying as the W shortcut for flagging emails works just fine but after that you can't find your flagged emails which makes the whole function meaningless.
make my email messages drop on my phone. it was working fine before untill i travel abroad and came back, now my bb has been asking me to give user name and password in order to activate email accounts. i gave all i could remember and it was telling me the user ID or password incorrect. Now i go all the way through the internet explorer to view my yahoo and gmails. is there anything i can do in order to regain my @ least my user name?
Galaxy 5S - have had for several months, no problems. In last week, I am finding that I cannot view attachments to emails I receive. I am using Email app that came with phone, running two accounts - one personal Hotmail account and one business account that is Outlook based and IMAP on phone. PC access to both accounts is fine - can view all attachments. Hotmail on phone - with PDF attachment, selecting "preview" gets me "Cannot display PDF (XXXX is of invalid format). Selecting "download" gets me the file downloaded, but again, I cannot open. I open attachments with Polaris and have had no problems for months. I can even open older downloaded PDFs with Polaris still. Problem is only for PDFs I've received in last week. Hotmail on phone - with Word attachment, I can get it to "open," but then document is blank.
Once again, I shouldn't need to download Adobe or some other PDF reader. Everything was absolutely FINE until 3 or 4 days ago. The issues seemed to coincide with a change to appearance and operation of Outlook on my PC, but don't know if there is correlation.
I was just given a new E72 for work as my iphone got smashed. But I cant view emails on it. I have configured my emails on it & can download my emails ok, but when i open them I cant see anything more than the subject & get the following error:"Mail for exchange
Security policy that allows downloading HTML messages is disabled".Is there a feature I havent got enabled?
After merging to a new email system my Curve has jumbled up all emails with no order by date. I can't find anywhere in the instructions or the machine to select viewing emails by date, newest first.
I'm wondering why I can't view full HTML emails on my Storm2 like the iPhone or Droid? What I mean is I never automatically see the pictures or the email that it would normally show as in a regular email. Is it supposed to do this? A "shrunk" down email on bb? I always thought it can render everything in the email but each time I open my email (gamestop, HP deals for example) it never loads fully.I know theres apps that can help but is that the only solution? It will always only be plain text on blackberries and never full HTML?
I have a BB Storm 9530 and whenever I open an email message, I have to select "view images" from the menu. Is there a way for all of my email messages to automatically open and show all images like its HTML? Even when I set the email setting to automatically show images, I still get those little squares that have mini blackberrys in them.
I have a question, as above. I like to look back and check sometimes when I responded to an email but can find no way of checking sent mail. I have checked lots of forums, the settings on my phone, etc, without success.
Everything is superb however 1 thing is annoying me and i cant seem to sort it, ive had a look round the forum and cant see this elsewhere.
When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.
My phone locks up for a good 30 seconds or more since I've installed this OS.HOW DO I FIX THIS? I can't view my calender from the AGENDA View & it's killing my productivity. 30+ secs just to get to the calender app, then another 30+ secs to make an entry or find a previous one.
Been using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.
I'm running .400 and I cannot figure out why my Gmail doesn't forward to my BB emails sent to myself. If I'm on my PC and I compose a message to the same email address I'm writing from, which is connected with my BIS, the email doesn't appear on my BB ever.In Gmail, I have forwarding disabled but POP enabled.
I have a blackberry. Problem is I have a limited data plan. I don't want to go over the limit.
Is it possible to stilll recieve the emails but that all attachments are filtered and excluded from the pushed email into my BB? If I want to see the attachments I will goto a proper PC to see it by logging in that way. I want the BB to just let me know an email was sent, and what text/word content is in it, if any. I dont want to recieve the attachments to my blackberry.
Also, does the emails with attachments sent to blackberrys use the data, or are they not downloaded until you explicitly click to open attachments>
When you view your email through the preinstalled apps, either Hotmail or Google. When you viewed them and deleted them then return to your email on a PC/Desktop the emails you've deleted are still there?
When I delete an e-mail, nothing happens, I scroll do wn and the icon changes to an opened envelope and greys out but the top line states:(0 items)But it will not disappear. I have just bought myself a new present in the form of the E72, and I am completely blown away by it! I have sorted out the offline gps feature, so it now connects everytime without fail.The only thing I am now trying to figure out is if I can view all the pre-installed POI on the phone, for example: when I am just looking at the map of my location, the phone does not display any local POI (police station, super markets, petrol stations etc) yet when I enter a set destination, it occasionaly pops up with them..Is it possible to have them on screen all the time? regardless of having a destination to go to or not?
First, I had to call Simple Mobile because the internet configuration settings they provide online we no good so they message the settings to your phone and all you have to do is save them.Then, today I was trying to access my contacts to add people and it said "Contact service provider for synchronization settings."Then, I called Simple Mobile again and the woman said enter 0000, 1111, 4444, or 1234 and none of those codes worked because she wanted me to reset it to factory settings. She said something about there being no support for that phone and to call Nokia.Then, I called Nokia and luckily the person was nice and it was pretty much the same thing except this time the code was 12345. After I reset it my contacts worked so I thought that problem was finally solved but no because then my internet didn't work so I had to call Simple Mobile again to get it working.After all of that and when I finally thought it was over with now my phone says, "Contacts not available yet. Try again later." I bought this phone thinking it would was the best for the price and on the Simple Mobile website it had it as approved phones for use but now that I have it it's being a pain. I need to view my contacts and be able to add people.I think the problem is is that this phone is supposed to be for T-Mobile and I wish there was a way to turn the synchonization off in Menu>Settings>Sync & backup>Synchronization. I feel so lied to because I thought this phone would work well with my service and I didn't have this problem before I connected it.

I didn't use BBSak and all my 3rd party apps were there after the install. I did have to enter activation codes for some purchased apps.
I racked my brain about installing .230 and never did. When this last leak came out, I finally got up the courage to upgrade.
After upgrading, I don't see what all the fuss is about. I don't see anything electrifying about 5.0 as compared to 4.7... I never had a problem with 4.7 and I don't have any complaints about 5.0.
