I´ve just updated my phone with android 5.02. ( big mistake) and i locked my screen and now i can´t switch it on no lock screen. It appears in grey and a message ¨ disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. How can put i back,cause i´ve tried everything that i could think of and no luck .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been loving my Z5 since I got it, my only sort-of problem has been the lockscreen. The default lockscreen puts a ridiculously dark grey filter over whatever picture I have as a lockscreen, not to mention the obnoxiously large clock nearly in the middle of the screen. I saw that the Galaxy S6 has sensible placed its clock in the top left of the screen and allows you to display whatever lockscreen in splendid, vivid colour. In the past, with my Z1, I simply installed a third-party lockscreen app to get around this but the Z5's thumb scanner isn't compatible with any of these to my knowledge (and I rather like that feature).
It seems a bizarre and backwards creative choice to have a phone screen capable of such vivid colour and resolution, only to have an embarassment of a lockscreen that is so dark and bland. Whilst not being overly tech-savvy, I was wondering if there was any way to change this - either remove the clock, or lighten the screen, or preferably both! (Will Marshmallow allow for more custom options for lockscreens, as I don't mind waiting of that's the case?).
Just updated from a nexus 5 to galaxy S6 and wondering if there's any way to get the stock android lock screen to display?I need to use a pin due to work restrictions on the phone, so can't disable the normal lock screen to use an alternative widget - I've tried a few of these but just get two lock screens. I prefer the stock lock screen as there's more spacing between the numbers (easier for fat fingers).Phone isn't rooted. Android 5.1 using nova launcher.

I can access every area in settings accept the lock screen session. When I try to enter the lock screen session it gives me the "unfortunately, settings has stopped message."

I'm having a problem with the new Android, 2.3.4 while using ActiveSync to connect to my corporete email on Exchange Server ... A corporete policy gets pushed to my phone and I need to accept it. OK, no problem ... I accept it, but the Lock screen settings ( under Settings -> Location And Security -> Change Lock Screen ) only allows the "Password" option, saying the other options,e.g. the PIN way is remotely disabled by administrator, although that is NOT the case. I've double checked with our system admins on this.Our system admins are NOT forcing the "Password" option ... they're OK with just using the PIN, and I had it like that, in the old 2.3.3 version !For this setup ... this will display the long PASSWORD for lock-screen, instead of just a PIN which is what I prefer to to use instead:
* Android 2.3.4
* gingerbread.xwki4 on Samsung Galaxy S2
* Exchange 2007 sp3

But with this update, you need the following for the unlock screen of ActiveSync for Exchange Server:6 letters, and one number in the previous version ( 2.3.4 ) you needed 6 letters, TWO numbers and one sign I want to be able to use ONLY 4 letters PIN, as it is allowed on our network, as you can see in our policy just pasted above in this thread!
my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI love my G3 and have had no negative issues with the new Android, except for this one. When I receive a call, the bottom half of the screen is blank/black. I'm able to answer and end a call only because I know where the icons are, they still work but I just can't see them. Upon ending the call, the whole screen comes back. It's only on incoming calls that I've had this issue (although, I don't use too many apps so don't know if it's occurring elsewhere). I do not root my devices.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAhhh, I was about to go to sleep last night and turned my phone off. This morning I turn it on to a different (and icky) lock screen.
I now have a padlock in a circle at the bottom of my screen, which I must swipe to an open padlock to get to the part where I draw my pattern to unlock.
I much preferred my olf lock screen where my little padlock as nestled in between the four icons I choose and I swiped up to unlock.
I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
How to permanently remove lock screen? I have it in settings>security>screen security>screen lock: none but I still have to swipe to unlock.
Second are the horrible emoticons that came with the latest update. Not only they are ugly and useless but even when I use them, recipients don't get them, regardless of the phones. I use default keyboard, like it, don't want to install a new one.

Since the update all of this has gone. I can't do anything without unlocking the phone. In security there is no longer an option for allowing lock screen widgets. How do I correct this?

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
On my lock screen, it has my current time and weather, which is lovely. But underneath, it also has the time for Taipei.

Yesterday the screen lock disabled by itself and no password was needed to get on phone. In addition, the Unlock effect "Water droplet" turned on.
Is there any way to turn off the shortcuts for the camera and the phone because that is an easy way to gain access to the phone and bypass the fingerprint unlock feature!

When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile?
