HTC One M7 :: Display Alternate Contact Phone Number On Lock Screen?
Oct 15, 2013
Is it possible to display an alternate contact phone number on the lock screen? If I lost my phone, a person who found it may be nice enough to call me at the alternate phone number so they could return the phone to me.
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems: Â 1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed  2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
i recently updated my phone software to os5 keyboard lock is annoying me as my mute button is not working. any software to lock keyboard i dont want to set a password
I know this has probably been asked before but for the life of me I have never seen a satisfactory answer. The company has recently presented us with Nokia E71 phones. How do you display your own number on your phone. Not how do you find it but display it on the screen so that it is always there.I have seen ideas like create a new profile and call it your number...or place it in contacts either as first number or own number. It would be nice to have it permanently displayed on the home screen or a one touch key that popped it onto the screen when required.God knows the number of time I've been asked my mobile (and there is a couple of them) and can't remember it.
So you need to fish the phone out unlock and trawl around looking for it.Ideal solution would be pop phone out press one key and number is present.Even if there is a piece of software which will allow this or creation of a screensaver with the number on it would be preferable to fishing around looking for the number.I mean with all the technology available to us in mobile phones today you think there would be a simple option to display own number.
How to display My Phone Number on my BB Bold 9900? At present it shows " Line 1 :Unknown Number I tried Options > Call Logs and Lists > Show " My Number "= Yes > save.. and no results....
Only had my Blackberry Curve 8520 for 1 week. I have changed the phone number from the one supplied to my previous number to avoid having to notify all my cotacts of a new number. When I go into the calls screen (the one brought up when you press the green phone button) On the "My Number" line it is still showing the supplied number not the one I have changed to. I went into the Virgin Media Store today but I was informed that it cannot be altered.
Many of the numbers that I call since switching jobs have extensions. Can they be added to the phone number listing as shown when making a call? Currently, I have been adding the 'notes' field to the contact lists when someone or a particular department needs to be accessed. I find it confusing sometimes and would like it displayed even though it may not dial it. Can it be displayed?
I am using a Blackberry, and very simply can show on the homescreen each separate email account, with a red star when at least one email arrives in the mailbox. It also shows at the top how many emails are new, overall. I'm not so concerned about "at a glance" seeing how many, but it's a god-send seeing (without pressing anything) where the emails have gone: work private hotmail. I know on the iPhone you go into Mail, and there you see your list of accounts, or 'All Emails', but that means I have to click Mail to do that. Is there a way (if like me you are email-busy) to see from the homescreen, a square icon for each account, and it show some form of identification that it has new mail it in?
I am looking for displaying my owner information on the HTC M9 lock screen. I am running Nova launcher and Lollipop 5.1 on the phone. Lollipop 5.1 does not allow for screen widgets and there is no option in the security settings to display owner information on the lock screen.
how can I do this thing on my iphone4? I just saw her lock screen looked like this. When someone texted him the name and message pops up along with the time and the senders picture on the side.
When using the phone function on any iPhone, sometimes you need to edit the phone number that you have just typed (ex. typed 0123456789 and wanted to add or erase a digit from the center or beginning) how could edit it?? considering that I do not want to save the number.Â
where applicable, for my contacts photo's I have selected to display the profile picture from Facebook. Now, for some of my contacts it just displays a grey head and shoulders, even though their Facebook account is still linked. However, if I change their contact photo to their Twitter Profile, this is displayed fine.
how to edit which information from the contacts that will be displayed when trying to call a contact? I cannot get anything else than Firstname, Company showed - which is not how I want this.
Furthermore I have found no way to lookup addresses in the Nokia Car navigator from contacts.
I'm not sure if I have the terminology right - but on the active display, is there a way to add additional features? I'd like to be able to see temperature (and today's weather upon click) and battery life. I could see these without 'logging in' to the phone. The screen that I'm thinking about is the one that shows the time and notification of unread messages.
Any way to decouple the display timeout from the screen lock? In other words, when the display times out after 30 secs., I would like to just touch the display to wake it up rather than going through the 2 step process of unlocking the screen.
Does anyone know if there is a way to add a contact number from the phone book when composing a text message on the c2 o2? Usually Nokia's have an option which allows you to "insert contact"
I have reecently changed from the 8900 to the 9700. I transfered my contact list but now when a contact rings their name doesn't appear but the number only as all the numbers are prefixed with +61 (I am in Australia) whereas from the contact list the numbers all begin with a zero. (So the number dialling in doesn't match with any numbers stored in the contact list). I didn't have that problem with 8900.
I have one phone number and I want to use it but I open my information in contact list there a another phone number like 5552161470. How can I get rid of that.
I am using face time on my iphone 4. However, i am confused because it appears with the contact phone number, so i do not know whether it is free or charging money.
As nokia user for the last 10 years, I become the proud owner of a 5800 Express Music, which has been the best phone I have ever used. So good in fact that I am not interested in an upgrade to the X6!
The problem I have been having started rearing it's ugly head in September last year. I was not sure if it was down to the cold weather but the screen seemed to "melt". It happened once in a while but now happens everyday. I have updated my software regularly and done the back ups to the phone but there seems to be no change. I have to guess the where the buttons are when putting in my pin number or screen lock pin, or remove the battery in the hope it comes back to normal. Please see pics attached. Anyone else have the same problem?
The first pic shows the main screen (or should)Pic 2 is what the menu looks like with this problem.Pic 3 is how it looks with the battery taken out and me switching it back on
First I'm not all that sure I'm in the right place for this post. My apologies if it's not! The phone is a Samsung SGH-A257 aka Magnet. My question is there any way to get into the phone if you've forgotten the phone lock number? Do you have to reset the entire phone? If so, how is that done? I'm researching this for a friend so please forgive my ignorance.
