So I'm currently running Android HD Revolution's 4.4 GPE ROM, and noticed yesterday that the 4.4.2 OTA is available for download on my phone. Would my phone survive the download or should I wait for the latest ROM to be available to prevent any bricking that my occur?

I also have a first generation iPad which is running on 5.1 so I'm just not quite sure as to what is going on in my laptop (which is an Acer Aspire One netbook, and iTunes is running at 10.1 I think).
P.S. To be perfectly honest, I'm really wanting this to work now because I want to buy "Zombies, Run!" from the app store and its on sale until this Sunday, and it requires iOS 5.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI dropped the bold and at&terrible and have taken my business to verizon and am the proud owner of a tour last night trying to install 5.0 I seem to have run into an issue using swiss army knife AND DM it wont load past the Loading RAM phase ive done bat pulls re wiped the phone, removed and reinstalled software finally I just said it and went back to verizon 4.7 and I STILL can not get past the loading RAM image.I am running windows xp through VMware on a macbook. I did read somewhere that running windows this way you can NOT update OS's past 5.0 but why would I still be having the same issues trying to install 4.7 anyone care to chime in because for now my phone isnt touring at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile updating to belle somebody tried calling me and phone seemed to crash at this point as the call carried on ringing for over a minute and I couldn't answer it. Had to restart phone and it went through the initialization and belle was installed..But now the whole phone runs so slowly - often takes 10-20 seconds to unlock the phone w slider, send or open a SMS message etc..Was working fine on anna yesterday. I've tried restarting it a few times but problem persists.On another note I tried deleting the 4000 old SMS messages that are over a month old from Nokia Suite, then syncing messages but it doesn't remove them from the phone.

Tried to identify by a notification logger but does not show anything, the phone just pings with no led flash... I heard its a yahoo app but I do not have yahoo account or on my phone.

I tried to avoid the 4.4.4 update with a vengeance, but VZW forced it despite my saying NO< NO< NO....
A few things changed for the better, but for me, the SMS Notification Sound is gone.
The LED lights up, but no notification sounds period.
I had restarted the phone several times for other reasons, so that ought to be taken care of.
I decided to go through a complete reconfiguration of the phone's default settings for every notification sound thinking that maybe, just maybe they needed to be "pushed again" to "fix it". Kind of like VZW nullifying our Voice Mail and not telling us that it will go away.
None of that made it give me the Chirp Sound when a message came in. Okay, just maybe after a new configuration has been done, it does not take effect until you Restart the Phone??
Couldn't be.But it was............ I did a restart once again AFTER having gone thru the configuration settings, and now the birds are chirping again when I get an SMS.
Is there anyway to get rid of the 5.0 update on the notification bar? I downgraded back to 4.4.4 and this notification stays there. Now my husband has the S5 also but his never notified him that there was even an update but I sure would like to get rid of it on mine
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently noticed that the notification LED would no longer work or blink if there is an incoming message or missed call IF THE SCREEN IS OFF. I am confused since the it will work if the screen is on (which is the opposite before the update).Before I got the update, the notification LED works as it should. This is clearly a bug, and needs to be fixed. It isn't something that can disable the total functionality of Xperia Ray users?

It showed me that your current version is 5.0.0.497 and new version 5.0.0.1077 is available for download. When I clicked the new update it says "Submitting Update Request" which remains as is and nothing happen after that till today. Rather after couple of minutes a message arrives that Waiting for Connecivity to submit request. Do you want to keep waiting? When I press yes, it happens again and again. And when I press no the previous screen arrives from where I started.

View 9 Replies View RelatedXperia Mini Pro (SK17i); I upgrade to ICS (4.0.4), Build Number: 4.1.B.0.431. After that Notification LED is not working for MISSED call, SMS Alert etc. when screen is OFF. However, it is working for Charging and E-mail (using K9). Checked in Service Menu and all the LED are working fine.
All the LEDs were working when using Gingerbread (2.3). Only after upgrading to ICS it is not working. Is this an issue with ICS?
