IPhone :: 3GS Is Running 4.2.1 And I Can't Seem To Update It To IOS 5?

I have downloaded iOS 5 from a seperate site, and frankly I just don't know what to do with it. I also have a first generation iPad which is running on 5.1 so I'm just not quite sure as to what is going on in my laptop (which is an Acer Aspire One netbook, and iTunes is running at 10.1 I think).
P.S. To be perfectly honest, I'm really wanting this to work now because I want to buy "Zombies, Run!" from the app store and its on sale until this Sunday, and it requires iOS 5.

There are no tones in my iTunes library. how I can get them back. In the itunes store, the icon indicates i would have to re-purchase them.Â

So I'm currently running Android HD Revolution's 4.4 GPE ROM, and noticed yesterday that the 4.4.2 OTA is available for download on my phone. Would my phone survive the download or should I wait for the latest ROM to be available to prevent any bricking that my occur?

I dropped the bold and at&terrible and have taken my business to verizon and am the proud owner of a tour last night trying to install 5.0 I seem to have run into an issue using swiss army knife AND DM it wont load past the Loading RAM phase ive done bat pulls re wiped the phone, removed and reinstalled software finally I just said it and went back to verizon 4.7 and I STILL can not get past the loading RAM image.I am running windows xp through VMware on a macbook. I did read somewhere that running windows this way you can NOT update OS's past 5.0 but why would I still be having the same issues trying to install 4.7 anyone care to chime in because for now my phone isnt touring at all.

While updating to belle somebody tried calling me and phone seemed to crash at this point as the call carried on ringing for over a minute and I couldn't answer it. Had to restart phone and it went through the initialization and belle was installed..But now the whole phone runs so slowly - often takes 10-20 seconds to unlock the phone w slider, send or open a SMS message etc..Was working fine on anna yesterday. I've tried restarting it a few times but problem persists.On another note I tried deleting the 4000 old SMS messages that are over a month old from Nokia Suite, then syncing messages but it doesn't remove them from the phone.

According to my status, I'm running version 4.2.2.182 software. I've been on the blackberry website, and apparently version 4.5 is available. Now I tried to update my phone software, and according to the updater my phone is running the latest software. This isn't true though, and I think updating to 4.5 will help remove some of the problems with my Blackberry. How can I update my 8310?

recently downloaded iphone os 4.0 beta and it is working really nice not much of bugs...just a tad slow
what i realized is that i cannot set a picture for the background!! i only can set it as before for the lock screen, is it that it doesnt work on the 3G or my beta version has a bug or something?!!

I have a windows computer and I plugged in my iphone 4 and itunes came up saying that there is an update. As I have read you need to have the lastest update in order for the software update to be 100% good. I did update and I waited till my iphone software updated. I clicked the download and update button but nothing has happened after that. So the real question is how do I install it because I didn't waste one gig for nothing and I am trying so many ways to update it but it wouldn't.

I used to own a 3GS years ago, and decided to buy another. Back then it was Fast! 4.1! Now? 5.x.x is Horrible! 256 megs ram should be plenty as before but I guess Apple just wanna make things difficult.

I used to use iPhone4 and no problem to connect to PC then I upgrade to iPhone5s is worse.

I have an IPhone 5 that I got in the winter of 2012. It's running iOS 7.1.2. The past couple of months it has been connecting very slowly to Verizon's network (both 3G and LTE). No problem with WiFi. Eventually, I went to the Apple Store to have it examined. After inspection, the technician reset the network settings on the phone. It was fine for a while. Then in the past two weeks the phone remained stuck on 3G. It would not connect to LTE at all. I had Verizon replace the SIM card twice and reset the network settings. Each time the phone was able to connected to the LTE network fine. And then a few days later it dropped to 3G. Â

As mentioned in the title, phone shuts down by itself, edges of screen flicker upon restart. Basically renders phone useless because it shuts back down within minutes/seconds of restart!
It shuts down at any and all battery levels, but seems to be more prevalent when battery is lower than 60% or 70%.
However, everything's ok when charging! BUT it charges extremely slowly, like less than 5% in an hour w/o any use.
Everything seems ok in the morning after a night of charging too, but starts shutting itself down by midday.
Erased all content and settings once, but problem persists. I suspect its the battery?

Running the speed test app side-by-side with my wife's iPhone 4 and she's getting an avg of 1.5Mbps and my iPhone 4 is getting 700k.
I've run this 4 times now with the same results each time.
She's got an Apple bumper, I've got an iFrogz case.
She's got 4 bars.
I've got 2 bars.
They're literally sitting next to each other on a table.
I took my case off, no change.
Hers is also one minute faster than mine (both clocks set to auto)

i read somewhere that there's a way that we can get our iPad apps to work on the iPhone as well? someone did that with netflix. i've been trying to do that to Moodboard and Pages but no luck any ideas? also, i use iFile instead of SSH due to paranoia and my home internet is a bit wonky. lol
