After the update i don't see green/red light anymore only at power button (i see green light for sms)... At the spot where the front facing camera is, at previous days i could see notification light coming out from there (not only from power button) but now nothing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the official 2.3.4 upgrade from the PC companion and am very happy with it. Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.

I have installed PC companion and it prompts me that there is an update available so I click to update and it goes through the process till it tell me to turn off the phone and press the back button while inseting the USB cable after that it says "Found New Hardware SEMC flash Device" then just hags and I have to restart the PC. View 9 Replies View RelatedI actually have a huge problem updating. 2 days ago I updated my wife's Xperia r800x. Now I try to update my Xperia r800x and at first it just says update failed and I try to use pc companion and update service and they both say there is no available update for your phone (Over the air update also fails). Now when I try to connect to an over the air update it says that there was an error try back again later and about 8 hours later i try again and still no luck! Pc companion and Sony update service are still saying the same thing (no available update for your phone). I have already tried the repair phone option also and this is really frustrating! I am guessing this might be a verizon problem for the over the air option but as far as sony's side i feel like i shouldn't be having this problem. Did they pull the update?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had managed to update version to 2.3.3 from 2.3.2 during this week.But somehow, PC companion still shows me that I had new updates for my phone.
So I did the 2nd update as follows on the instructions, and after reboot the phone, ALL my personal settings, messages, contacts, apps, games setting on the phone are gone!Luckily the phone was still new and i had a back up last few weeks ago.Hope Sony Ericcson will look into this issue and prevent it from happen on the next update!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI must say this Gingerbread update looks quite nice, and I'm liking it as far as I've been using it for the past hours.I had the media problem earlier in the day, wasn't really able to fix it until it went off without me noticing.All I did was go Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All and then clear data to everything with "media that I could find.I don't know if that was what made the error screen to go away, but all my songs and pictures are available to me now.Now, there is still something that I need to understand...My notification ringtones for SMS are all gone, all I can do is choose between "Android System" which limits me to "default ringtone, silent or Facebook Pop" or SoundPicker which leads me to my songs.Where did all the SMS ringtones go? I am confused since the it will work if the screen is on (which is the opposite before the update).Before I got the update, the notification LED works as it should. This is clearly a bug, and needs to be fixed. It isn't something that can disable the total functionality of Xperia Ray users?

As i continued using my phone i saw the wifi was having problems, i thought it was because of my rooter but no. I tried with other devices (iphone) and (lg optimus 2x) and they worked perfectly. There i realized it wans't my rooter's problem but my phone's wifi. My wifi fades out, it's to unstable and it connects and disconnects ramdomly for no reason. I was looking for info in the net and i found there is this 2.3.3 update and i saw the bugs it fixes and well there it was wifi stability fixed and also it has a facebook integration. I was actually pretty happy when i saw this but i tried OTA pc companion and Update service and they all say the same lastest software installed. Though it said i had the latest software it was false i still have 2.3.2 and i'm getting pretty upset with this i can't use my phone as i wish to. You know when i bought was because i already have had an xperia x10 and it was a pretty good phone though i had to use flashtool with it to install multitouch because SE never released that update here in mexico. Well evertything was fine with my xperia x10 but then the play came out and i was like whoah perfect but yeah i got it and actually it has a nice camera nice hardware i love the controls evertything but my wifi ***** and it gets me mad and upset. I expect a response why hasn't sony released 2.3.3 in mexicoo ??? and when r we having this update my last 2 phones i've had to root because the software updates were never released and i actually don't want to do this with my play i wan't to keep it as it is without rooting it. please don't tell i'll have to root or unlock the bootloader with this phone to make it from r800a into a r800i to update an enjoy the 2.3.3.
