View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I open sent or received picture texts, they appear with a white circle and black triangle as if it were a 'play' button. If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.
View 1 Replies View Relateda few days ago I accidentally dropped my phone and since then the camera has gone weird. When I look at the camera the shutter is not there and it looks like I'm about to take a photo. Its almost like the shutter is stuck. When I go onto my camera app there is no picture and it looks like I am in a dark room when I am not, but the options, exit and ect show up. I have dropped my phone a few other times especially on worse surfaces but this time it has just stopped working?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen using Hangouts to view a MMS text message which contains an image the image can be viewed full screen. The menu buttons disappear and that space is used for viewing more of the image. The Gallery and Photos apps do not do this. Both of those apps keep part of the screen reserved for the menu button bar. Any picture viewing app which will allow a full screen slideshow similar to the way Hangouts uses the full screen?

View 12 Replies View Relatedi think i found a bug in the nexus one when sending video MMS. it only lets you record about 8 seconds of video and then says "you've exceeded the message length." i've tried a million different ways, and no matter what it doesnt work right.all previous phones i was able to send up to 30 second clips of reduced quality video. but not on the nexus.so far i've used the messaging app, attach, record video, and it gets up to 298k and then stops, even though the default size in settings is set to 600k.i've also tried from handscent, but that app has no "camera record" option. so i have to attach a video i've already recorded, which i DID, using low quality, and it won't work either saying message too large, even though i have the setting at 600k file size.
finally i've tried to SHARE directly from the camera app and gallery, same result. anyone else noticed this bug? i searched google, and only 1 other post came up in a different forum, describing the same exact issue back in march. guess nobody uses video mms!!
I've got this issue for about two or three days now. Quite often, when I take a picture with stock Google camera app, my Nexus turns off instantly. Then, when I try to turn it on again, it often turns off again in about one minute and usually it shows almost empty battery (even though before shutdown it was nearly full).
First it has appeared on stock rooted 4.4.4, the phone tried to boot like 10 times, so I erased cache and dalvik via TWRP, but then it didn't detect SIM card and showed unknown baseband. I solved it by flashing bootloader and radio.
Then, I installed a stock 5.1.1, rooted it again (I thought it would solve the issue), but the same problem with camera occurred. So, could it be hardware issue? How to debug it?
You change it in developer settings, to give the screen a more lcd look. I really like it, but turns off after reboot. Is it bad for the screen?

There was no update on phone. I did not manually throw them into trash.
How can i revert them back into the main folder with one click?
Btw, all my photos and videos were in DCIM folder, so now i just backed them all up in my PC.
Switching from a Google Nexus 5, where I used the Photos app (which i think has ties to Google+) solely. I liked because sync was in place and I could easily go on my photos.google.com and see the pictures there too (and share them).
Now it seems that with the Samsung Galaxy S6, the camera app writes to Gallery. I looked under the Application Settings for Photos and Gallery and neither one has Defaults setup, so I am not sure IF there is a way to force the Camera to use Photos, or force their "Messaging" (not Hangouts) to use Photos. It seems that when you use Messaging and identify a Photo manually from Photos, that it wont attach it, since it isnt ALSO in Gallery.
So I installed Google Messenger to test that vs the Samsung Messages. The Google Messenger, cant see the pics in Photos either! wild.
My phone had a real bad burning plastic smell. Once I noticed it, the phone just completely died, went black... My phone company is sending me a new one. But is there a way that I can get my photos/videos off of it? Even though it wont turn on? My charger fried as well.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy nexus 5 was having problems, I made sure to select the back up options and did a factory reset. I didn't back up my photos to my google+ page (which I didn't know at the time was a prerequisite) I only had them backed up to my gmail account. So I did the factory reset. Phone had saved contacts, google keeps but no photos or videos. Is their any hope for retrieval?

I think it's specific to either the 6p or marshmallow because my nexus 4 with 5.1.1 works fine.
My YouTube app is version: 10.43.60 and I'm on mdb08m.
My speaker phone and volume when watching videos is almost nonexistent. In have the volume maxed out.

Now I have several ALS Ice Bucket videos all playing and downloading when every I open up Facebook. I have been noticing that my data was going up a lot this month. After reading a article that everyone is posting their ALS Ice Bucket challenges that it is impacting people's data plan and battery are getting killed by Facebook with this new Facebook Autoplay video default.
Also, for extra battery saving tip in your Facebook setting disable Messenger Location service. How to disable videos from playing automatically in your Facebook news feed for both the mobile app and on the desktop.
I have just received my Nexus and one of the first things I tested on it was the video playback on the AMOLED Screen. One Strange thing I noticed is that while playing any video in MX player (or any player for that matter), if the decoder is the default HW decoder, there is a backlight bleed like in LCD screens and the video doesn't run on an all black background which is really annoying. If I switch the decoder to SW, then its all black like it should be on AMOLED screens.

I buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9850 and when I used to send pics to a friend through BBM they would get the option to preview, save or cancel; in turn, I would receive the same option. When I clicked "save" it would download the full 1-2MB version of the pic in BBM, saving it to my picture folder. Yesterday they bought the same phone (Torch 9850) and now when either of us send a pic, neither of us have the option or are given the opportunity to download the actual picture file?!? We simply get a low quality 30KB image with no option other than to go to the BB file menu and click "save" which saves not the full high quality image, but the 30kb one we just received.
