Nov 3, 2011How can I delete my emails from the phone without it actually deleting from my email account so that I can still access them when I check them from a pc?

Jun 14, 2014Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC). Some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

Jun 24, 2010I have my own mailserver (hMailServer). I can connect over the internet from my laptop and I can connect from Desire, but after connection the phone displays "No Emails". The settings is IMAP with no extra security.I know that all settings are correct because I have traced the IMAP conversation with WireShark on my server. I'm not an IMAP expert, but it looks ok and I can see email headers being transferred. But still the phone doesn't show any emails.

Oct 30, 2010I have set up my Desire to receive my emails from my ISP (Sky.Com). Although the emails always go to my Desire Inbox, they don't stay there for very long: they simply seem to disappear from the Inbox by the end of the day at the very latest. I can't locate them after that, and I can't seem to find an appropriate command in the settings to prevent my emails from disappearing from the Inbox.

I've checked all the virginmedia imap/smpt settings and all is fine, my virgin webmail is also fine. Looking at the virgin forums, there are a lot of people with HTC desires saying similar, but no one with blackberries / iphones / Galaxy etc reporting, so I thought it might have something to do with HTC?

Jun 17, 2011I can receive emails on my unlocked HTC Desire S and can on my original unlocked HTC Desire but cannot reply or send fresh email on either. The settings are OK as they worked previously, in fact only minutes earlier on the Desire S.When satisfied it all worked OK I took the Vodafone SIM out of the Desire S and put it in the Desire to see if the email issue still existed. It did. I put the SIM back in the Desire S and the problem has replicated itself. Now all I can do is receiveI am reluctant to put the SIM in my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S2 in case the problem occurs again.
