Aug 28, 2015Can't send texts through messenger or Hangouts. Have totally disabled Hangouts until it is resolved. Have cleared caches, removed sim, reinstalled sim. Nothing so far.

Google Nexus 5 :: Why Aren't MMS Coming In Or Downloading
Dec 21, 2014I've been having issues with MMS they just aren't coming through. Some come through but most of them aren't. When they do come through it says "New MMS message to download: size is 1kb, expires on date/time". When i try to download it ALWAYS fails and doesn't download. This has been an issue since I've updated to Lollipop. I'm currently on 5.0.1 OTA stocked not rooted.

Apr 9, 2015I am having a problem where I cannot text to 6 digit numbers (for card balances and whatnot) because there is a +1 in front of the number. There is no way to edit the number before sending the text. I have tried deleting the contact and manually typing the 6 digit number but it still adds +1 in front of it (which gives me an error when I send the text) . How to get hangouts to remove the +1?

Dec 21, 2014I have a nexus 5 on t-mobile and am using chomp sms as my text app. I normally receive audible text alerts, but a few times a day seemingly at random a text will come and only vibrate. I don't believe this is a contact issue because I will receive several audible text alerts and then a silent alert from the same contact, and it can happen with any contact.

I still can't figure how to do this. Am I missing something? Apple sure made it easy so I am wondering why android makes it so difficult for those that are new to the android world.

May 17, 2014when my phone is asleep and I get incoming notifications whether they be texts, emails, notifications, etc my screen does not turn on briefly to alert me, only the notification light blinks. Is this normal or is there a setting on my phone that is not enabled correctly? I kinda don't like this, I'm use to my phone briefly turning it's screen on when incoming alerts hit my device (coming from an iPhone.)

Apr 3, 2014For months I was happily using my Nexus 5 with a SoundID 300 earpiece. Pushing the call button went into a dialer dialog with voice prompts and responses. Suddenly a few weeks ago it started going to the Google Now (aka Google Search?) function (the one you get when you say "OK Google"). Although it will generally recognize the same voice commands as the dialer dialog, there are no voice prompts or responses, so if Google Now has crashed or decides to prompt on screen for "OK or Cancel", I have to get the phone out and look at it to see why it didn't dial.

Feb 27, 2015Yesterday I did an update to several programs including Google and noticed major battery drain. I was not sure which program did it but checked Battery in Settings and saw it was the screen causing the drain. Apparently when the Google program updated, it changed the setting for automatic brightness adjustment to ON. I turned it off and the battery is fine. I keep brightness set to about one quarter to one third brightness. I think the battery life is great and I can easily get thru the day.

Aug 22, 2015I'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.

I receive this error when I try to add a card in Android Pay: "Android Pay cannot be used: Google is unable to verify that your device of the software running on it is Android compatible". I tried disabling root entirely and using RootCloak (Xposed) to hide root from Android Pay and Google Wallet, but I still can't use Pay. Wallet still works as it always has.

Jul 20, 2014So this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.

Google Nexus 5 :: Stuck At Google Logo After Deleting Some Apps
Nov 4, 2015today I installed the new android 6.0 factory image, rooted it (used the modified boot.img from the previous build) and installed supersu 2.52 and blu spark kernel. Everything good until i deleted some apps (gmail, webview, youtube and other NON CRITICAL apps, like I ALWAY DO SINCE KITKAT), then rebooted and my phone is stuck at the Google logo, not even the bootanimation shows up.. Tried to reflash the boot.img, wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset but nothing.. The only thing that worked is to reflash the factory image! What am I doing wrong? Happened 2 times in a row so something must be wrong.. Another thing, I can't access TWRP every time, sometimes it skips and boots directly..
