(Nexus5) my phone 1 year old rebooting automatically..... not even going to home page..... this is the 1st problem which I am facing in this one year by using nexus5.

What should I do now? I tried to flash stock and unroot via nexus root toolkit, i get the same.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIn the last 3-4 weeks, I've seen my Nexus 5 rebooting here and there randomly. He's not stock into a boot loop, he works just fine and then 'pop', I can see it rebooting without reasons.
I'm running stock 5.1.1, kernel 3.4.0-gbebb36b, Build number LMY48B. The phone is rooted manually, no automatic trick.
Does randomly reboots means something? Is there a way to see what happens/what happened like an event viewer in Windows?
Since 5.0.1 my phone has been rebooting randomly, numerous times throughout the day. I just downloaded 5.1 (hoping that it would fix the issue) and it still reboots but now every so often after it reboots, it will say "Android is Starting... Optimizing app # of #.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago my Google Nexus 5 began constantly rebooting for no apparent reason. Most times when the phone rebooted it would not even get past the Goolge logo before rebooting again. Occasionally the phone would go farther at which point it would say that it was optimizing apps. Sometimes it would reboot again right in the middle of this process. I was not connected to WiFi at the time this whole thing began so it should not have been updating in the first place.
On the rare occasions that the phone started up completely I tried running it in Safe Mode, clearing the cache and doing a factory reset in the hopes that the issue is being caused by an app, all to no avail!!!! NOW THE PHONE WON'T EVEN TURN ON!!!!
My son's nexus started rebooting on its own here and there a little less than a month ago. Last week it started boot looping. I would have to turn it off(only worked sometimes by going into fastboot mode). Tried resetting and wiping in recovery with no luck. This problem gets worse when it's plugged up to a computer the phone turns into a reboot machine. I read up it could be the power button and took it apart to find the button works fine (still cleaned out though).
View 10 Replies View RelatedAnyway, yesterday I was chatting via whatsapp on my Nexus 5 16gb with CyanogenMod 12.1 and sundely it stars rebooting, i thought that i press the power button but when the Cyanogen logo was loading, it started to reboot again and again. When the cyanogen logo apears it reboot again. I can get into the phone a few times but it reboots again and I cant enter the twp to wipe or reinstall another room. I also tried to flash with ADB but i cant enter the recovery mode because it reboots again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy device was working fine, but suddenly my screen went blank(device turned off without any warning), an then thinking that it must be off I tried switching it back on but in vain. There was no response from the device. After these failed attempts I plugged it into the charging port and since then it is coming to the Google Flash screen(the one before the bubble animation) and then switching back off within a sec. I tried going to the Boot screen but in vain coz I dnt get enough time to select even Power off or any other option. What to do...I went through a few forums but could not decide what to do finally. And i need my Nexus 5 back to proper woorking as soon as possible without any data being erased.

At first it was rebooting, then updating the apps, then when it reached the block screen, it reboots.
Tried to enter recovery and it reboots even in recovery.
I can't recover the data because the system is not up for that long to allow internal drive recognition. What should I do in your opinion?
I tried also to clear cache or enter safe mode, but it reboots anyway.. During the spinning logo, before, after. It's quite random.
My Nexus sometimes randomly crashes and then has problems rebooting. I have factory reset the phone and even reverted fully to stock android. However, the problem persists. I have attached the logcat file pulled up to the crash.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.

When I turn on hotspot on my phone any device that connects to it sates no internet connection. I can get into recovery and have flashed factory 5.1.1 and 4.4.4 images but all that changes is the device loops with older boot animations. Kwongger's NEXUS 5 Toolkit v2.2 completed successfully but didn't improve anything. Trying to flash Cyanogenmod I run into adb "unauthorised". The device had usb debugging enabled and the RSA key of the PC was accepted but after multiple factory resets it appears to be gone.

View 12 Replies View RelatedAround a year ago, my Nexus 5 kept 'crashing' on a very regular basis. However, I'm saying 'crashing' between '' because the phone was still on. I felt it vibrating when I'm called, the music kept playing and the notification light flashes. So the device was on, the backlight was working, but my screen remained black. The only solution was to 'hard reset' the device (holding the power button +- 10 seconds). The problem however kept reappearing.
I send it back twice, did multiple factory resets (with and without backup) and it seemed fixed. Until now, the problem is back since last week.
Sometimes it 'crashes' twice in a row, sometimes the device works fine for another 24 hours straight. I'm currently doing another factory reset, but my experience tells me this won't really solve anything. This is also the reason why it's hard to explain this problem to the manufacturer: when I send it to them, I lose my phone for more than 3 weeks minimum and it could be that their tests show no problems at all.
Any way in order to know the model of nexus 5 ( D820 or D821 )?

I have restored it to previous version and also have changed the battery. This went on for a few more days. Now my nexus 5 doesn't switch on and neither does it indicate that the battery is charging even after I keep it plugged on for a long time. I've done everything possible.
