Recently my nexus 5 has started to reboot itself very frequently. Sometimes, pressing the screen lock button lightly reboots it. Current android version: 5.1.1

What should I do now? I tried to flash stock and unroot via nexus root toolkit, i get the same.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn the last 3-4 weeks, I've seen my Nexus 5 rebooting here and there randomly. He's not stock into a boot loop, he works just fine and then 'pop', I can see it rebooting without reasons.
I'm running stock 5.1.1, kernel 3.4.0-gbebb36b, Build number LMY48B. The phone is rooted manually, no automatic trick.
Does randomly reboots means something? Is there a way to see what happens/what happened like an event viewer in Windows?
Since 5.0.1 my phone has been rebooting randomly, numerous times throughout the day. I just downloaded 5.1 (hoping that it would fix the issue) and it still reboots but now every so often after it reboots, it will say "Android is Starting... Optimizing app # of #.
View 24 Replies View RelatedA few days ago my Google Nexus 5 began constantly rebooting for no apparent reason. Most times when the phone rebooted it would not even get past the Goolge logo before rebooting again. Occasionally the phone would go farther at which point it would say that it was optimizing apps. Sometimes it would reboot again right in the middle of this process. I was not connected to WiFi at the time this whole thing began so it should not have been updating in the first place.
On the rare occasions that the phone started up completely I tried running it in Safe Mode, clearing the cache and doing a factory reset in the hopes that the issue is being caused by an app, all to no avail!!!! NOW THE PHONE WON'T EVEN TURN ON!!!!
My son's nexus started rebooting on its own here and there a little less than a month ago. Last week it started boot looping. I would have to turn it off(only worked sometimes by going into fastboot mode). Tried resetting and wiping in recovery with no luck. This problem gets worse when it's plugged up to a computer the phone turns into a reboot machine. I read up it could be the power button and took it apart to find the button works fine (still cleaned out though).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is a new issue or it has happened all the time and I just now noticed it. My Nexus 5 will drop wifi connection for just a split second every few minutes. I created a Tasker profile to do something whenever it connected to my wifi, and the profile kept firing constantly. I finally realized my phone was dropping wifi connection. It immediately reconnects, and it is so fast I wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't for Tasker. It is fast enough that it doesn't affect my Pandora streaming.
I have tried rebooting the phone, the router, etc., but the problem persists. I don't think it is a router issue, because my Galaxy Nexus doesn't have the same troubles.
My nexus 5 is suddenly having a problem with the screen that the lower half of the screen is sometimes flickering or is distorted. It has never been dropped and has never been immersed in water. How to diagnose the problem as I can't RMA it. Is this a problem with the gpu or the lcd?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyway, yesterday I was chatting via whatsapp on my Nexus 5 16gb with CyanogenMod 12.1 and sundely it stars rebooting, i thought that i press the power button but when the Cyanogen logo was loading, it started to reboot again and again. When the cyanogen logo apears it reboot again. I can get into the phone a few times but it reboots again and I cant enter the twp to wipe or reinstall another room. There was no response from the device. After these failed attempts I plugged it into the charging port and since then it is coming to the Google Flash screen(the one before the bubble animation) and then switching back off within a sec. I tried going to the Boot screen but in vain coz I dnt get enough time to select even Power off or any other option. What to do...I went through a few forums but could not decide what to do finally. At first it was rebooting, then updating the apps, then when it reached the block screen, it reboots.
Tried to enter recovery and it reboots even in recovery.
I can't recover the data because the system is not up for that long to allow internal drive recognition. What should I do in your opinion?
I tried also to clear cache or enter safe mode, but it reboots anyway.. During the spinning logo, before, after. It's quite random.
My Nexus sometimes randomly crashes and then has problems rebooting. I have factory reset the phone and even reverted fully to stock android. However, the problem persists. I have attached the logcat file pulled up to the crash.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Atrix keeps rebooting several times an hour. ATT gave me a replacement and the replacement started doing the same thing as soon as I started using it. I called ATT and they said there was no use in another replacement until Motorola fixed the issue because the third replacement would do the same thing. They said they have replaced countless Atrix at that store alone.
The battery has been replaced. I did a factory reset. There is plenty of RAM, it has nothing to do with any apps, there is NOTHING on the replacement phone and the original phone did it after the factory reset. It has nothing to do with wifi or 4G use. I have never unsafely disconnected the phone from my computer. The restarts are random.
My BB Curve 8520 is not rebooting. The Loading Line stops half way.. and nothing happend after that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.
