BB Bold :: Constantly Rebooting - 4 To 5 Times In One Hour
Oct 19, 2012
I just got the new Bold and the darn thing re-boots about 4/5 times an hour. It's an enterprise (work) blackberry so because of security I cant use my computer desktop with it.
My Atrix keeps rebooting several times an hour. ATT gave me a replacement and the replacement started doing the same thing as soon as I started using it. I called ATT and they said there was no use in another replacement until Motorola fixed the issue because the third replacement would do the same thing. They said they have replaced countless Atrix at that store alone.
The battery has been replaced. I did a factory reset. There is plenty of RAM, it has nothing to do with any apps, there is NOTHING on the replacement phone and the original phone did it after the factory reset. It has nothing to do with wifi or 4G use. I have never unsafely disconnected the phone from my computer. The restarts are random.
I log in calendar appointments and they automatically move forward one hour no matter what I do. Even when I forward on a diary entry it goes to that person one hour later.
i love my bold to death but one thing is starting to annoy me. my bold keeps on resetting itself like 2-3 times a day. is this normal. ive had the phone since november and now it just starts resetting frequently. should i bring it back?
My blackberry bold 9000 keeps rebooting itself constantly and runs down battery within an hour. I have tried taking out battery and sim and also wiping it and it still is doing this?
Ever since upgrading to the latest software 7.1.0 Bundle 1149, my Bold 9900 is consonantly rebooting. Usually after a phone call, it decides to reboot. So annoying. Its also extremely slow and the battery life is awful. Its only about 6 months old and constant problems.
I live in Germany, I often roam especially into Austria - crossing the border no issue, phone switches to an Austrian network. 10 days ago I got a replacemnent phone, flew to the US, and the phone started on landing, and constantly reset - no comms possible, apart from a few minutes after 1 day - then that was it until I arrived back in Germany IT WORKED PERFECTLY WHEN I GOT BACK TO GERMANY- I swopped the phone at the weekend, for a brand new one, as I neede to fly to Jordan today, I arrived, same situation as when I arrived in the US - constantly rebooting - after it let me put in the pin and password on landing. I read thru the forUms, and took out the sim and memory card - same reboot (battery was gone in about 1 hour, from full to nothing due to this reboot process I guess).
I upgraded my 9900 but since then, it hasnt stopped rebooting. its been over 3hrs of constant rebooting. I tried removing the battery it kept rebooting. At one stage it went back to the "backing up data" screen and re-backed everything up. Note that I did the upgrade on the device without using the desktop.
My phone is about 2 months old. My service is through ATT in the US, but I use the phone abroad - currently in Sydney, Australia.Sometime early this morning [still asleep as alarm didn't go off], the phone began rebooting. When it reboots, it fails half way through and starts again. This has been going on for over 10 hours. I have not had time to load any new application onto it, it is in the same state it came. I just receive and send email and text.I have spoken to ATT and the only thing they recommend is a new phone. However, they wont send it to me outside the US, they say it isn't possible [even if I pay for shipping]. I guess they never heard of FedEx or DHL. So much for their international service. I have to coordinate shipping through my office in the US. This is going take me more time than I think I can live without the phone.
I've tried a battery that I know works and the problem persisted. I would like to wipe the phone clean, but since I don't ever get to the main screen, I cant do it using an application. Is there any way to wipe it clean using a combination of keys? I cant do it from my PC either as it doesnt recognize the phone since it is always rebooting.
Basically, my phone freezes at least 6/7 times a day, just doing stupid things like loading facebook it'll just cut off completely, and when I leave it it either goes to an error page, or just stays like that for the next half hour or so, until I get annoyed and pull the battery. Lately it's started taking longer and longer to reset after pulling the battery. Yesterday it took me 3/4 of an hour to get it to load, and then it froze again straight away, then it loaded within about half an hour after. Today it took closer to an hour to load up again, it got stuck half way up the loading bar and just stayed there, and just as I was about to try pulling the battery it started moving again.
using OVI Suite 2.1.1.1 I find that when I sync my 6700 with Outlook 2007, meeting times are shown on the Nokia 6700 as being one hour earlier than the actual times as originally input in Outlook. Is this a known problem? As I've just recently started using this I'm not sure if ity might be a time zone problem or some other sort of problem.
I noticed that when I enter a time for an event on my calendar on my iphone then sync it to icloud the event is show but the time for the event shows a 2 hour difference. Example: Dental appointment set for 9:00 am on my iphone but after sync to icloud on my PC, it shows the time to 7:00 am on my PC calendar.
Recently my nexus 5 has started to reboot itself very frequently. Sometimes, pressing the screen lock button lightly reboots it. Current android version: 5.1.1
After I press the on/off button or after the screen times out, I've noticed that after some amount of time the phone will have turned back on by itself. I then noticed that it was actually rebooting. I think it may have started doing this after I installed the VLCPlayer app.
I have had my BB Curve 9360 for 7 months and for the last month the phone has been experiencing problems with rebooting itself.
The phone reboots itself approximately 5 or 6 times a day which is quite annoying as you have to deal with the irate persons who are continuously met by your voicemail as your phone is off or awaiting secrity info (PIN) without your knowledge.
Basically my G3 reboots itself every so oftern. At first I linked it to google maps as 9/10 times the phone would crash when I tried to use it.
Last night I did a hard reset (hold power button and - volume) and started from scratch installing one app at a time.
It was running fine until I installed spotify then it started again! It got so bad that the phone would restart as soon as I tried to unlock the screen. I uninstalled spotify, but am still having the issue, so it cant be spotify? Unless it has left a corrupt file behind?
I recently bought a Nokia 5230 on T-Mobile and I'm experiencing problems with it freezing and rebooting several times a day.
I have checked to make sure I have the latest software version. I also ensure that I do not have lots of applications open at the same time. There is no particular function that makes the phone do this, ii even does it by itself when I'm not even using it.
Someone told me this was due to T-Mobile putting their own software but is there anything else that could be causing this?
My device was working fine, but suddenly my screen went blank(device turned off without any warning), an then thinking that it must be off I tried switching it back on but in vain. There was no response from the device. After these failed attempts I plugged it into the charging port and since then it is coming to the Google Flash screen(the one before the bubble animation) and then switching back off within a sec. I tried going to the Boot screen but in vain coz I dnt get enough time to select even Power off or any other option. What to do...I went through a few forums but could not decide what to do finally. And i need my Nexus 5 back to proper woorking as soon as possible without any data being erased.
My BB Torch 9800 on my AT&T network is constantly not holding any battery charge, it's constantly dying on me even though I constantly have in plugged into a car charger or a wall charger at all times, it also started to reboot itself and then once its complete it reboots itself again and again and again. I've tried leaving the battery out for 15min and then trying to reboot it again, that does nothing. I've gone into the Options section under Device and disables the Compression, that did nothing, I've check the CPU Usage for the day and the week nothing is really eating the power up. I have also held down the menu button and switched off all my apps in there and still no better.
When I synch my Yahoo calendar and my torch the times show an hour ahead of the actual time on the device. I though it might be a daylight savings situation but that is set correctly on the pc. The device is set for the correct time zone. also, the device is set for UK English and I live in the US.
Have a BB curve 9300 3g, software ver 6. on a payg contract with Tesco. It worked fine until this morning when I noticed it was rebooting (the same as a battery pull) constantly. It would boot, update security and reboot again. Finally managed to switch off wifi and mobile network to see if this made a difference and the rebooting stopped. I've since switched on wifi, and this is fine.
But as soon as the mobile network is turned on it will try to obtain a signal and within 2 or 3 seconds will start rebooting again. I've tried it with different battery, different sim, with and without microsd card, deleting all apps, upgrading software to latest version etc etc but nothing works. Right now I have a mobile phone which is of no use as it cannot receive a mobile signal.
Why does this happen?? I have tried taking out the battery etc. and this makes little to no difference. Any ideas?I am also working out how to get my school email on the device, but I believe this is covered elsewhere so I shall follow up there with any problems.
A few days ago my Google Nexus 5 began constantly rebooting for no apparent reason. Most times when the phone rebooted it would not even get past the Goolge logo before rebooting again. Occasionally the phone would go farther at which point it would say that it was optimizing apps. Sometimes it would reboot again right in the middle of this process. I was not connected to WiFi at the time this whole thing began so it should not have been updating in the first place.
On the rare occasions that the phone started up completely I tried running it in Safe Mode, clearing the cache and doing a factory reset in the hopes that the issue is being caused by an app, all to no avail!!!! NOW THE PHONE WON'T EVEN TURN ON!!!!
My son's nexus started rebooting on its own here and there a little less than a month ago. Last week it started boot looping. I would have to turn it off(only worked sometimes by going into fastboot mode). Tried resetting and wiping in recovery with no luck. This problem gets worse when it's plugged up to a computer the phone turns into a reboot machine. I read up it could be the power button and took it apart to find the button works fine (still cleaned out though).
Was working fine before the update. Rarely locked up, maybe rebooted on its own once, ever.Today, I am simply listening to music, and the phone keeps stopping out of the blue and reboots. Happening on local music (played w/Meridian app), Rhapsody, and Pandora. Pandora was the only app I'd installed since the update, and thought maybe it'd caused problems, so it's been uninstalled.Re-seated SD card, pulled batt. a few times, still randomly rebooting.
