Nexus 5 LED light flash red while being charged and the screen is off?
Just wondering because mine is doing it and I don't remember if it's new or something it has always done.
I've got a problem with my Nexus 6. The entire screen is blacked but I've good a flashing green band on the top of my screen when i try to start it. I can hear the notifications going thru my phone but the screen is blacked out. I've tried several times the Power button + Volume down but I can't even access the reboot display.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI notice a flashing red light on the side of phone. I put the phone on charge seemed to be charging ok approx 5 hours later took it off charge. I used phone and noticed the battery indicator showing 1 red bar the phone bleeped low battery and turned off. I've done all normal trouble shooting tips still the same. I've bought original Sony Ericsson charger and battery that hasn't worked either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Nexus5 (Android 5.1). Actually, my network provider has charged me for cellular data usage which I never did. In-fact, I haven't subscribed to any data pack and was charged heavily. I always use internet through WiFi.
My data usage widget is displaying 0B data usage, but my network operator is insisting that the data has been used by the device.
I want to understand if this issue is really due to my device.I see different cellular network icons on my device :-
- Exclamation mark in cellular network when WiFi is disabled (I never enable cellular data)
- R sign in cellular network (cellular data is disabled and i am not in roaming)
- No R or exclamation sign (both WiFi and cellular usage is disabled)
I am not able to understand,Is my cellular data usage is really due to my device settings or is due to some issue by service provider.
Is it that the device is indeed using cellular data despite of the fact that cellular data option is disabled and it never shows this usage in data usage widget.
I observed that when I use Wi-Fi, then exclamation sign from cellular network is removed, does that mean that the cellular data is also used and that's why my service provider has charged me?
So I'm running PAC ROM; I have a slight issue, I want stock GApps on my phone to add some features I've been wanting. When I flash it (tk_gapps-stock-5.1.1-20150809-signed.zip) on the official Nexus 5 lolipop ROM I got an error message, I read it and it says that I need to flash is ontop of another TK GApps, unless I wipe my cashe partition. So I wiped my Davlick Cashe and Cashe. Still have me the same message.

So I am lagging behind a little in the updates department. I am currently on kitkat 4.4.4 (towelrooted, TWRP recovery with system files modified). AFAIK, i can't use the OTA update I received months ago for 5.0. Is there anyway I can upgrade (without wiping any data), to 6.0? If not, what would be the best way to upgrade to 5.0 (not a clean install/wipe)?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI pulled my phone out a bit ago and my LED Notification LED was flashing blue at me. I checked the notification area and there was nothing there. I checked my settings in Light Flow Lite and checked the three areas it was controlling that had a bluish light set. Nothing there (I even changed the colors of those notifications - no change). I looked around the phone as much as I could figure out and could find nothing. I finally had to reboot the phone to get the light to go off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using the Cataclysm Rom for months without any problems. Today I restarted my phone (I do this every other day, when it gets a little bit slow) and it stuck in bootloop.
I tried wiping dalvik/cache, doing a factory reset, reflashing Cataclysm, nothing worked. So I decided to go back to stock (using [URL] ....) and I'm still stuck in a bootloop every time. I can access and use fastboot/stock recovery in the normal way, but it won't boot.. What I could do?

I am running the latest version of android and I tried both TWRP and CWM.. I get to flash the custom recovery and boot up, but as soon as I try to flash SuperSU the phone gets stuck into bootloop. (also when I use CWM phone automaticly overwrites the custom recovery to stock, I know how to fix this but I must get the root access first though...)
Currently I reflashed factory Images and I am using my phone completely naked only with vital apps. But I am not willing to back down, I would like to find the fix and Root it till the end.
Flashing a ROM and got stuck on the checking connection page in set up if so how did you fix it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOne fine day, my nexus 5 started hanging up while booting. After the google Logo, the Marshmallow animation would show up and then it would hang and power off. I have no problem in doing a factory reset/wipe of my phone. But the only thing i want to save is my contacts. I have tried erasing and re-flashing system, cache, boot and boot-loader. Using ADB, flashing the cache always fails........
However, i have not touched userdata as i think it would affect the contacts too. I have even tried using different custom recoveries such as CWM, TWRP and even Philz Touch to use adb to pull my SD card files to my PC. Even flashing the system is not working now.... (atleast that's what my results were) .

Is it possible to make a backup of bootloader? If it is, how? I am not talking about kernel (boot.img is the kernel, correct?), system, recovery, or data. Bootloader.My Nexus 5 came with bootloader version hhz11n. The factory image from Google (4.4.4) has bootloader version hhz11k.
How different these two are, but since hhz11n image can't be found anywhere, I want to back it up before flashing to Lollipop or Marshmallow.
My Nexus is still running 4.4.4, bootloader unlocked, rooted, with TWRP installed.
I had the problem of random restarts after lollipop update (exactly afte rsometime i changed to pattern security )and i gave to service center and they told its OS issues and downgraded to 4.4.4. After that i installed all my apps in 4.4.4 (standard apps like banking, skype etc..) and used it for a while. when i tried to use screen lock as "Pin" this rebooting issue starting again? I managed to change it to "Swipe" and did wipe cache partition, and till now (for last 45mins atleast) its running okay.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have flashed various version 5 stock firmware's and the latest 6.0 using nexus tool kit, as well as specifically flashing only stock recovery using the tool kit and I cannot load into the stock recovery. I've spent hours looking for information on manually flashing the stock recovery without the tool kit but have found the instructions very vauge. Any information on flashing manually only the recovery would be very useful or information on why I may be having this issue.
I know every time i flash a rom it only shows about half of my internal storage. I have a 32gb version. So I end up having to go into a recovery "temp flashed" using the tool kit in order to clear some information and then i get my 32gb's back.
I"m wondering if the space being auto allocated or partitioned is interfering with the flash of the recovery..

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to a bold through Orange (UK Network Provider), phone has been great so far, I have had it for a week. However, I made a call and came back to my phone to find a blank screen and the red light flashing/staying constant intermittently. The phone does not turn on, I have tried taking battery out, sim out, memory card out, attaching it to my computer (which it does not recognize as it needs to be on) charging it etc. I have tried that alt, cap and del reset mechanism too.
Orange told me I will have to send it off this week, but does anyone know any quick fix to turn it on? I have all my contacts on there, stupidly I did not back it up.

I always get this error whenever I try to flash the Nexus 5 with using the flash-all file, I installed Android Studio, restarted my PC, even got the 6.0 factory image. None work and I always get that error? I'm trying to restart this Nexus 5 for my dad. The Nexus 5 is rooted with franco kernel and TWRP but on stock ROM.
How can I prevent Auto-Reboot of my Nexus 5 after flashing an Official Factory Image? I've tried to add
