So when I charge overnight the screen lights up every time it hits 100% waking my wife and baby up! It goes off after 10 seconds but is there any way to not make it light up?

I notice a flashing red light on the side of phone. I put the phone on charge seemed to be charging ok approx 5 hours later took it off charge. I purchased a Blackberry curve 8520 about 6 wks ago. It stopped working about 3 weeks after purchasing it.I sent it away to be fixed (purchased from Vodafone). They sent it back and said there was nothing they could find wrong with it. The same has just happened again. The screen remains blank & it is fully charged. I have tried taking out & putting the battery back in. Sometimes it just blinks an orange light a couple of times but screen remains blank. I don't want to send it away again to be fixed as all my details/downloads will be once again be wiped off while it is being fixed.
