i have may bold 9000 for awhile now but all of a sudden it does not turn on any more. screen blank and the LED light flashing four times. i cannot wipe the phone because i cannot access my bold via the USB port. i'm geting frustrated and i dont know what to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to a bold through Orange (UK Network Provider), phone has been great so far, I have had it for a week. However, I made a call and came back to my phone to find a blank screen and the red light flashing/staying constant intermittently. The phone does not turn on, I have tried taking battery out, sim out, memory card out, attaching it to my computer (which it does not recognize as it needs to be on) charging it etc. I have tried that alt, cap and del reset mechanism too.
Orange told me I will have to send it off this week, but does anyone know any quick fix to turn it on? I have all my contacts on there, stupidly I did not back it up.
i have a torch 9800 .....after putting the battery in it boots up gives me the att screen then operates for 5-15 minutes then goes black screen with the led flashing red. how can i solve this issue to operate device
View 1 Replies View RelatedSimilar posts out here and can't find an answer: I have a BB Bold that was working fine today. Since 5:30 ET, it has gone to a black screen. When plugged in, the led light blinks 4 times, pauses, blinks 4 times, pauses, and so on. This blinking pattern has continued for hours. I unplugged and removed thte battery, and then returned the battery to the phone and plugged it in again with no improvement. The phone will not turn on and continues to blink as described. There has been no drop or moisture damage to the unit. Any ideas as to what is going on?

View 13 Replies View RelatedYesterday I was waiting for an important call but needed a shower so I took my phone into the bathroom and put it in a dry safe place where I would hear it ring if need be. It did so I quickly jumped out of the shower, dried hands and answered a message. Few minutes later when back at my desk at home I realized the bold was behaving weird, key presses were not doing the right function, i.e. a press of the back key brought up jk or other letters on the screen etc.
It did not sustain water damage, at worst my hands were merely damp when used so I just figured pop it down for a while and let it 'dry' (it wasn't wet but you know what I mean, its all I could think of) picked it up maybe 15 minutes later and it appeared to have died. Now, its 15 months old (and was a refurbished handset direct from 02 when I got it so its had a hard life) its been bumped, and not long after I got it I broke the screen (LCD bleed) so I had it repaired which forfeited the warranty, also the trackball has been a constant nightmare to me, it stops working in one or more direction regularly.
I've found the solution to this to be to clean the trackball gently with a q-tip dipped in clear alcohol, after some time this usually works, but a couple of months ago I could not get this to work at all so after 2 weeks of a phone that would not scroll left I had the trackball replaced. I now had issues with the trackball not selecting when I push down but this is got around by using the return key or it does sometimes work if you push hard. So, with this new flashing red light failure I took it back to the place that replaced the screen. They kept it for 24 hours and when I went back to collect it they said it was a component failure and beyond economic repair.
Quite truthfully though I got the impression that they actually just couldn't be bothered as it was a hard job. Came home and started researching, other posts I have read lead me to believe that if the LED comes on in any way all is not lost. My computer does not recognize the phone when I try and connect it via USB, although just now I tried again and windows acknowledged that a device had just been plugged in, but the blackberry software still did not detect anything. What can I try now? I am not tech savvy so it will need to be clearly laid out for idiots.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately my BB9900 past away. Black screen, Red light flashy and all the same symptoms in previous other posts. I have tried:
- Batt pull
- Chargin with Power cable and/or USB cable and pull the batt in / out
- Installing software
- Resetting with BBSAK and JL CMDer
All without any result. Only thing is: When I pull the battery and connect it with my PC, after 30s/60s I see a battery (with a red cross) in the screen. I have tried now to install the software trough "c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploaderloader.exe" /nojvm but no luck. Is it possible to connect with other software? Where can we download software to Flash the Rom and are their any ROMS available? My guess is a software failure in the ROM.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, for the past few days, when I wake up in the morning, I have found that the lower half of my screen is flashing. I use the AlarmDroid app and have done so since I got the device in February, so I didn't think that this would be the cause. It will flicker for a while, then eventually stop, so I can't just take it to erizon and show it to them. It only seems to do it first thing in the morning when I wake up (plugged into the charger). I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but no change. The only thing I can think of is that a couple of weeks ago my phone would not restart, so I had to reset to factory defaults. This started after I did the factory reset.

I am using bold 9700 and bold 9000 at the same time. My bold 9000 was os 4.6 since the OS 5.0 is available. I updated the os 5.0.0.414. However, the battery seems like an issue for me. It get hot so easily and the battery level drop off very fast even I didnt really use it. One day I need to charge it for 3 times. May I know what is the problem about this? Is this due to the OS or what?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Tour 9630 for Sprint and I plugged it into my iMac last night to charge via USB and it was perfectly fine the whole time.When i woke up in the morn (the comp also went to sleep all night long) the phone screen was blank (black) and the red LED light was solid with no blinking. I unplugged the phone and the screen stayed blank and the light stayed on. I pressed the power button on the phone and the screen showed the little clock with rotating hands (like it was processing something) and then it went blank again and the LED light came back on.It did this 3 times before i took the battery out.I left the battery out for about 25mins and when i put it back in nothing happened at all. I pressed the power button and still nothing. The only thing that happens is when i plug it back in the comp, the solid red LED light comes back on - but still nothing on the screen.Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas for me? Did i fry the battery by leaving it plugged into a dormant comp?

The screen wont turn on and it just black, but when i turn it on the red lights comes on and the keypad light, so the phone is clearly on. The phone did not get wet, I did not drug it, it did not do some heavy exercises, it was sitting on the table, it is not tired. So, what am I supposed to do now? How do I wake it up?
