Like a lot of people, I prefer the Google keyboard over the Samsung one. Annoyingly, an icon appears in the notification bar whenever the Google keyboard is summoned. One way to get rid of this icon is to disable all other keyboards under Language and input -> Default keyboard -> Set up input methods. Unfortunately I've noticed that the Samsung keyboard keeps turning back on all the time.
View 4 RepliesI've had my BB Torch for about 3-4 months. Today I came home and was talking on the phone. Everything seemed ok. Then I tried making a phone call and it kept hanging up. Was able to finally make the call. Then the battery went on red and asked to be recharged. I plugged it in. It turned itself off while lights on the green and red buttons on the front of the phone were flickering. Still doing it every time it reboots. It's not turning on. Took the battery out. Rebooted a few times and it turned itself off again. It says to stop turning it off to press any key, but it's not working. Then it stayed on for a couple of seconds and it said that it's in safe mode. Tried to press the reset option, but it turned itself off again. Took the battery out again for 5 minutes. Put it back in. It rebooted. Stayed on for a couple of minutes. Tried to update the software, but it turned itself off again. Still not turning back on. It was really hot outside today and I was sweating. Figured that maybe it got wet, but I looked at it and nothing looks to be damaged.

I use custom keyboards on my Atrix like the Gingerbread and Iphone keyboard.
As I go to the keyboard setting and set this custom keyboard as the default one, the phone has been working perfectly poping up whatever custom keyboard I defaulted for couple weeks until yesterday... the phone keep going back to the default Multi touch keyboard and won't remember the selected default keyboard for some reason..
I was jut wondering...is there any way to keep it so the keyboard light STAYS on?? What's up with the light...i don't get it :/ i just got this, so if there is a way if you could tell me how!
View 3 Replies View Relatedthe querty keyboard backlight on my x10 mini pro keeps turning off in the dark or bad light. I can manage to keep the backlight on, while I am trying to type without it cutting out after about 2 seconds. Sometimes it won't even turn back on even after pressing a key.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've seen a couple comments here and there re: the Phonton keyboard being "difficult", and I think those comments are completely warranted when you consider the settings Motorola / Sprint use as the phone ships. They ship it with Auto correct OFF! I came to this phone after 4+ years of blackberrying. I knew the soft keyboard was going to be an adjustment, but with the Photon it was REALLY bad out of the gate. I'd type something, see that I miss-typed it, then I'd have to select the correct word out of the list above the keyboard (assuming it had some idea of what I was after). Very tedious... So I went poking around in the settings and saw they had a auto-correct setting and it was turned OFF!

I used to be able to connect the BT to several devices: cars, ear piece, speakers, etc, but now the BT won't even stay on long enough to connect to anything. I hit the BT button, it will stay on for about 8 seconds and then turn off.
I did the BT force close, clear cache and it still won't turn on. I did a factory reset this morning and I am still unable to turn on BT.
I searched through the forum and didn't see anything like this - most of the BT issues are about connecting to a device. Mine won't even stay on.
I have a couple weeks old Galaxy S6 that was working great until suddenly today the Bluetooth stopped working..
I turn the phone on from the OFF state.
When it boots, I open the app drawer and choose Settings. Then Bluetooth.
In the Bluetooth screen the switch is toggled off, now I tap the switch to turn it on and it turns green. The text "Turning on.." appears and all looks well, but then suddenly the switch just toggles back to the OFF position again!
I've tried turning it on repeatedly, same thing happens. Have tried toggling it from the pull down menu, and same thing.. It just turns on for 10 seconds then back off again.
It's completely not useful, not a single error message or anything.. Impossible for me to troubleshoot
I tried uninstalling all my apps, didn't fix it.
Had my Sprint gold 64gb S6 since the 12th and have noticed that when I turn off WiFi and get close to a place I've connected before it will automatically connect to it - how to get it to stop this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedUnlike my Note 3 the WiFi enabled doesn't disable the LTE signal from showing. Obviously its not using any data but any specific reason? I disabled a lot of apps including the Caller Name ID. If it's normal than no big deal but I'm just nor used to seeing both.

After years of owning a blackberry I finally switched over to a Samsung. I have configured my imap mail servers and have it working (receiving and sending). I have a question. I removed my e-mails using web-mail on a computer but the e-mails still show up on the phone. I have manually sync'd the phone multiple times and they are still there. Why this is the case (My phone shows 250+ e-mails and when I log onto web-mail, I have about 20, which is correct)?

The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect.But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I called bmw service and they were totally unaware of what to do.
Also media is not supported! When connected texts and music will not show or stream.
I've never had a problem connecting to my home wifi, everything was working fine on Friday, I left the house, went to my girlfriends and my phone connected to her wifi without a problem as usual. I returned home on Saturday and my S5 failed to connect to my wifi, I connected it manually and it connects and disconnects almost instantly. I have 5 other devices including a samsung galaxy note 4 in the house which all work perfectly fine. I've tired switching the router off and on again and that makes no difference, I removed the phone battery for 5 minutes and it then connects to the wifi for about 5-10 seconds then again disconnects, what else I can try....

The thing is, I never need notifications for appointments, I look at the calendar from time to time anyway. So, I allways turn of the notifications but I still get them, the kind of turn themselves back on after a while and I get both notifications by push AND by email.

As the problem got worse it would intermittently vibrate and flash and stop charging, but then resume normal charging. The problem got so bad I was unable to get it to take a charge at all and the battery ran out completely. So I took it to the Verizon store. The guy plugged it in using his charger and it immediately started charging. Problem solved. I needed a new charger. Not so fast. Once I got it home and started using it again the problem returned. Today in frustration I turned the phone off. After a few minutes I plugged it in and it immediately started charging, and in less than an hour was at 100%. So I turned it back on and started making calls. After a while I plugged it in to see if it would charge and I get the same issue.
View 3 Replies View Relatedgalaxy s6 system ui turns on location often. I catch it about once every 2 days while on my phone. I long press the searching for gps and it shows "lollipop system UI". I'm guessing that is what is turning on the gps for a few seconds(~10s) every so often. I was wondering if there is a setting so it doesn't do that, because I think it's unnecessary.
