I've had my white G6 for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems until the past few days. I used to be able to connect the BT to several devices: cars, ear piece, speakers, etc, but now the BT won't even stay on long enough to connect to anything. I hit the BT button, it will stay on for about 8 seconds and then turn off.
I did the BT force close, clear cache and it still won't turn on. I did a factory reset this morning and I am still unable to turn on BT.
I searched through the forum and didn't see anything like this - most of the BT issues are about connecting to a device. Mine won't even stay on.
I have a couple weeks old Galaxy S6 that was working great until suddenly today the Bluetooth stopped working..
I turn the phone on from the OFF state.
When it boots, I open the app drawer and choose Settings. Then Bluetooth.
In the Bluetooth screen the switch is toggled off, now I tap the switch to turn it on and it turns green. The text "Turning on.." appears and all looks well, but then suddenly the switch just toggles back to the OFF position again!
I've tried turning it on repeatedly, same thing happens. Have tried toggling it from the pull down menu, and same thing.. It just turns on for 10 seconds then back off again.
It's completely not useful, not a single error message or anything.. Impossible for me to troubleshoot
I have a 2012 bmw 5 series. I can pair the phones but after about 2 minutes it losses pairing. I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I called bmw service and they were totally unaware of what to do.
Also media is not supported! When connected texts and music will not show or stream.
I have an 8220 pearl flip and until last week my bluetooth worked fine; then it lost connectivity. I've taken the battery out and put it back. I've downloaded the latest software. I've checked bluetooth in manage connections and it stays checked for about three seconds and then disappears. I've tried pairing in settings and it just says bluetooth disabled. I took it to the T-mobile store and they just tried to sell me a new phone. Nothing seems to work.
Had my Sprint gold 64gb S6 since the 12th and have noticed that when I turn off WiFi and get close to a place I've connected before it will automatically connect to it - how to get it to stop this?
Unlike my Note 3 the WiFi enabled doesn't disable the LTE signal from showing. Obviously its not using any data but any specific reason? I disabled a lot of apps including the Caller Name ID. If it's normal than no big deal but I'm just nor used to seeing both.
Like a lot of people, I prefer the Google keyboard over the Samsung one. Annoyingly, an icon appears in the notification bar whenever the Google keyboard is summoned. One way to get rid of this icon is to disable all other keyboards under Language and input -> Default keyboard -> Set up input methods. Unfortunately I've noticed that the Samsung keyboard keeps turning back on all the time.
After years of owning a blackberry I finally switched over to a Samsung. I have configured my imap mail servers and have it working (receiving and sending). I have a question. I removed my e-mails using web-mail on a computer but the e-mails still show up on the phone. I have manually sync'd the phone multiple times and they are still there. Why this is the case (My phone shows 250+ e-mails and when I log onto web-mail, I have about 20, which is correct)?
I just got the S6 Edge last night! I was charging it in my computer at work and unplugged it to use it and the red light is still on and the phone will not come on or anything.
I open the camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge by pressing the camera icon. The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect. But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I can't get at the Camera Settings no matter how many times I try; the menu is on for an instant - then gone, and the screen is as before.
I have a samsung galaxy s6, and the battery is draining rapidly because for one, the light will not stay off on the home screen, it keeps coming back on and off. this is my second phone now in two months.
Whenever I get a notification that wakes up my lockscreen, usually a text message or snapchat, the screen stays awake until I lock it manually. Very annoying as the screen can be on for an hour straight since I'm in class and it completely drains the battery. Can't use wakelock since I don't want to root my phone, and I've already tried clearing cache partition.
I've never had a problem connecting to my home wifi, everything was working fine on Friday, I left the house, went to my girlfriends and my phone connected to her wifi without a problem as usual. I returned home on Saturday and my S5 failed to connect to my wifi, I connected it manually and it connects and disconnects almost instantly. I have 5 other devices including a samsung galaxy note 4 in the house which all work perfectly fine. I've tired switching the router off and on again and that makes no difference, I removed the phone battery for 5 minutes and it then connects to the wifi for about 5-10 seconds then again disconnects, what else I can try....
I've used Amplify to deal with wakelocks, alarms and services. Everything seems to be in order as I configured it. But yet I see awake time in Batterbatterystats. Which process is causing the awake time?
How do I get the weather widget box (the one that shows the next 3 days) to stay on the location I want, I can touch it and then select perth but it always defaults to Sydney when on the home screen
My S6 connects fine to my car. However, it keeps disconnecting even if im not using it. I didn't have this issue before on my Note 4. This is a software or hardware issue before i return it ?
I just recently made the transition from a Lumia 1020 Windows 8.1 phone to an S6. I have a 2010 Ford Focus with the Ford Sync system.
On my 1020, when connected to Bluetooth, I was able to have my texts read to me over my speakers and reply via hands free. I cannot for the life of me however get the S6 to replicate this behavior.
I can get the car to recognize texts, but they come across the text messaging system, which requires manipulation of the stereo, and response isn't entirely hands free.
I've tried using multiple suggestions, but haven't found anything that works. Is exist Android to work out of the box like my 1020 and my wife's iPhone 6+
I can get Bluetooth audio, but no hands free. I drive 60+ miles on a work commute. I've tried 3rd party apps, but they were slowing down my system and draining battery life horribly.
on my ps3 is says scan for a nearby Bluetooth devices so I made my s5 available for nearby devices to see it. but the ps3 just kept scanning it never found anything. am I doing something wrong?
Waze on my iPhone worked great in my car over the stereo speakers. Now it won't play over BT with my S6. I have read about all I can find and some even say the car/phone must be A2DP compatible. Well my car hasn't changed so is the S6 not compliant or is there something else going on?
In Waze, I don't see a "Prefer Bluetooth" option in sound like I did on my iPhone
So is there something in the phone that i need to adjust
I have a Verizon GS6 running 5.1.1. A few days ago there was an update for the ANT Radio Service and ANT+ Plugins Service. I'm sure others got this update too. I'm not sure if it's related, but all of the sudden my Bluetooth is killing my battery. It won't let my phone sleep. All I have connected is a Fitbit, which I've had for 4 months and never had an issue like this. It's killing my battery and the only thing I can do is turn off Bluetooth.
My new S6 doesn't recognize my Bluetooth in the car each time. I can easily pair it but each time I turn the car off, I have to re-enter the pairing code. Doesn't seem right. My S4 was paired once and then each time I got in the car and put it on Bluetooth, it connected.
I use Google Play Music from my phone over Wi-Fi to listen to music in my car. Since I started using my Galaxy S6 my notification sounds get played over my car stereo. It interiors my music and I find it annoying. This did not happen on my previous phone. I can't find a setting to turn this off. I hope I'm just missing it.
Have paired my phone to my laptop with Windows 10. Can send files from pc to phone, but trying to go the other way, phone to pc, I will get a brief flicker of a "connected" message on the laptop and then it goes back to paired the phone gets a message that transfer failed. Never get a notification on the PC that it is trying to receive a file. Same thing happens when I pair my tablet to the pc. When I pair the phone to the tablet transfers work fine both directions. What Dumb User thing am I doing wrong?
When I first set up my blue tooth device a screen popped up on my S-5 asking if I wanted to allow Bluetooth to unlock my phone, and I said yes. Somehow, that setting changed and I cannot locate the screen to allow blue tooth unlocking again.
