Lumia 1520 :: Navigation Bar Lights Always Stay Lit?
Feb 18, 2015On my Samsung Ativ S, the navigation bar lights up if you touch the screen but turns off after a few seconds even if the screen is still on. With my 1520 the lights always stay on when the screen is on. They are very bright and wondering why they dont turn off to save battery.

Security wipe and re install. I don't know what caused it. Nothing had been installed on the phone for the past couple months, and it only started 3 days ago. Screen Lock does nothing.

It doesn't seem to be triggered by anything specific I do with the phone. I'll just look over at my phone because it lights up and sure enough, it's restarting. Nov 10, 2015A co worker of mine has a S6 and is having trouble with the screen randomly coming on and going off. As a result I think it's killing his battery. If I look at his battery stats the screen is sitting on 32%, Messenger is at 16% and Facebook is 13%. That's the three biggest readings and all others look normal. What's happening is that the screen will just pop on by itself, stay for 4 or 5 seconds, turn off for about 5 seconds, then come right back on and stay for 4 or 5 seconds. The cycle keeps repeating itself. He says that it will do this sometimes for 4 or 5 days in a row, then not do it for maybe close to a week, then it comes back.
I thought he might be getting some sort of reminder from something that is turning the screen on but then it doesn't make sense that it goes right back off again. Since it's not my phone I can't get any screen grabs or anything.

My S6 is on 5.0.2 (No 5.1.1 for the international S6 yet) and this happens when there's no charger plugged in and no new notification. No case on it or anything pressing against the power button. Its definitely a software related bug. It happens randomly maybe twice or thrice a day but I've only noticed it in the past 2 days. Its happened almost 10 times so far including thrice in the past 4 hours.
My main concern is screen burn on the Amoled (happened to one of my Lumia's and the huge battery drain if I don't notice that its turned on.

Jan 12, 2016My husband's Galaxy Edge 6 keeps going to the maintenance boot mode shown in the photo and factory resetting randomly. Verizon can’t seem to solve the issue.
•He's had the phone replaced by twice in the past month,
•10 hours of calls between Verizon and Samsung
•ditched his old Google account in case it was something with his backup
•Replaced his SIM card
•Went to both the Verizon store and to the Samsung center in Best Buy for them to run diagnostics, flash it, etc. They can find nothing wrong with it.
•He’s had numerous factory resets, master resets, etc.

Oct 21, 2015As the title says, my play store app is now opening randomly and interrupting whatever i'm trying to open but not to a specific app or anything. Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.

Apr 19, 2012The screen goes black after the backlight comes on but the light does not return. Everything is functioning like I get notifications, I receive calls and bbm's but the thing is I can't check them because the screen is black. There is static as well at the top but it it is black and blurry, sometimes I could see the name of the service provider as well as the battery icon.What would work sometimes is if I do a battery pull but that is rare. Also if I lock the screen then wait a while and then press any button between the end call and receive it would come back on. But that is becoming rare as well. The system on the phone is full functional but its the screen that stays black.Sometimes if I'm lucky it would go away and I would be able to use the screen. But when that happens I would have to constantly be pressing a button to keep the phone active so it does not go on backlight setting from inactivity. U can imagine how annoying that is huh?
