Ever since I got the Android 5.0 update on my T-Mobile S5; the background for my home screen randomly reverts back to the default. Am I the only one this is happening to; and if not, how do I fix it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new iPhone 4S that has developed the habit of shutting off randomly by itself. When I pick it up after it has been on standby for a while, the buttons are not responsive, then after a few more tries I get the apple logo, which I presume means the phone is resetting itself. It concerns me, since my family and I keep in touch via texting during the day, so if the phone has shut off, they can't reach me and I don't know that they are trying to.
I took it to the genius bar today, and they suggested I do a restore. My concern is that some of the games I have accumulated a lot of points in will be set back to zero. I have tried the regular reset procedure by holding down the button and swiping the 'shut off' option

Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

Is there a way that you can change that image to something else more my style?
I just bought a new Samsung galaxy s5 and the screen has words and a background image. Its like the samsung logo and galaxy logo and some more that I cant make out. You can see it on the screen and esp when you use the camera.

Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
Don't know what's happen. Phone isn't rooted. Normally when I flip my home screen and I want to go back to my first home screen I press the homescreen button. But now it doesn't do anything?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi've been noticing that while I'm on apps such as Facebook or Instagram that my phone will start clicking on people's profiles, liking posts, or clicking links unprovoked. I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.

After last system upgrade, my xperia ray's video camera is not working properly. It now records in 16/9 instead of 4/3 (Letter box) and I would be glad it would work fine but since then, videos are not recorded correctly. Image is not continuous, but it shifts randomly as it wouldn't be able to record without stopping. That gives poorer videos than with previous version. Other problem I have is that welcoming message is displayed twice when phone is starting.

Ever since then my screen completely randomly turns itself on, like I pressed any button. It's really annoying and I don't know how to fix this. View 5 Replies View RelatedA co worker of mine has a S6 and is having trouble with the screen randomly coming on and going off. As a result I think it's killing his battery. If I look at his battery stats the screen is sitting on 32%, Messenger is at 16% and Facebook is 13%. That's the three biggest readings and all others look normal. What's happening is that the screen will just pop on by itself, stay for 4 or 5 seconds, turn off for about 5 seconds, then come right back on and stay for 4 or 5 seconds. The cycle keeps repeating itself. He says that it will do this sometimes for 4 or 5 days in a row, then not do it for maybe close to a week, then it comes back.
I thought he might be getting some sort of reminder from something that is turning the screen on but then it doesn't make sense that it goes right back off again. Since it's not my phone I can't get any screen grabs or anything.
Screen randomly turns on and refuses to go off unless you press the power button?
My S6 is on 5.0.2 (No 5.1.1 for the international S6 yet) and this happens when there's no charger plugged in and no new notification. No case on it or anything pressing against the power button. Its definitely a software related bug. It happens randomly maybe twice or thrice a day but I've only noticed it in the past 2 days. Its happened almost 10 times so far including thrice in the past 4 hours.
My main concern is screen burn on the Amoled (happened to one of my Lumia's and the huge battery drain if I don't notice that its turned on.
My husband's Galaxy Edge 6 keeps going to the maintenance boot mode shown in the photo and factory resetting randomly. Verizon can’t seem to solve the issue.
•He's had the phone replaced by twice in the past month,
•10 hours of calls between Verizon and Samsung
•ditched his old Google account in case it was something with his backup
•Replaced his SIM card
•Went to both the Verizon store and to the Samsung center in Best Buy for them to run diagnostics, flash it, etc. They can find nothing wrong with it.
•He’s had numerous factory resets, master resets, etc.
I'm using a Sprint S6 and when I turn off Location having it set to wifi and mobile then restart it's on High Accuracy(GPS,Wifi,Mobile). Definitely something to consider when you're toggling that switch because I've noticed some what significant battery lost and it's always scanning on that mode.

Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.
View 21 Replies View RelatedIntermittenly the display screen timeout resets to NEVER. Nothing that I do (or at least so I think) causes this. I don't know it until I notice that the battery is dangereously low. Don't have any apps that may cause this that I know of.
Used to have a similiar situation with the Original Droid where it would reset to 30 seconds.
Does this happen to anyone else and if so how did you get around it? Or is it yet another bug in the operating system? Happened pre-GB also. Doesn't seem to be more or less frequent with GB.
I am already extremely hard of hearing and need every bit of extra volume. I can reset media volume as long as the bluetooth earpiece is not turned on, but as soon as I turn it on, it resets to a little more than half way up. how to change this?

I've got to try using my phone for work today, old spare being repaired. I can't even hang up a call.
The touch screen wont respond on my Icon even after multiple soft resets. I do have the developers 8.1 installed. If this would be a faulty phone or would it be something in the 8.1 download....
