Is there a hack or an app that makes the edge lighting work when the phone is face up? I like knowing who is texting me by the edge lighting but don't always want to have the phone face down.

The edge lighting when face down only stays on for 2 seconds then turns off. it would be nice if it stayed on til you pick up your phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust bought a black Samsung wireless charger. I plugged it in at my office. Its charging but the halo isnt fully lighting up? Just a lil blue light in the front is lit? I have seen pictures of the whole halo lighting up blue when charging and green when fully charged. I can't even tell by the LED lights if its charging since its on my desk and I am looking down at it... only my phone's red lil light on top light lets me know its charging.

So, even before i buy the phone, one of the highlights everyone make is:
"You can double-chop to turn the flash on or off. But if you activate the flashlight this way and set the phone face-down, the flashlight will almost immediately turn itself off."
Sounds awesome, so i tried it, double-chop works fine, but the flashlight dont turn itsel off when i put the phone face-down, and i waited a long time hoping the sensors have a delay, i tested in many surfaces and all the same.
It doens't seems to have a setting about this as the phone do it automatically..
So, that's it, i will have to accept it will never work on my phone? I already factory reset the phone after the update to MM, and a few days later.
Ok the soft keys down by the home button on the bottom....mine do not light anymore. I have them set to the 1.5 second time out. Even when I put them on "always on"they don't light up.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up the fingerprint lock on the edge 6. So I've gone to setting and security and all that. I've added both thumbs as fingerprints. And under lock screen type it says fingerprint. Yet every time I lock the screen and hit the home button it says swipe to unlock. Even tho I go back to settings and under lock screen it says fingerprints. What step am I missing? Also I restarted the phone and the first time I pressed the home button it asked for my fingerprint but then after that it went to swipe screen. What should I do to fix this so it's fingerprint every time.

Open camera app, the screen is always oriented downwards. It will not take portrait pictures at all - it simply doesn't rotate to portrait orientation.
Open any games, they will only be oriented downwards also.
The accelerometer is functional - tested with a game "extreme car driving" that lets you control steering by phone tilt - worked fine.
However, even that game automatically instantly re-orients itself upside down when you open it.
Screen rotation is toggled on. I have tried with it off, no difference.
Have rebooted several times. Have turned phone off and left it off for an hour, turned back on. Have not tried a factory reset yet... not particularly keen on doing it but I guess that is my next step. Did a factory reset. Didn't work.

I have a problem with the message reminder on my Galaxy S6 Edge.
After installing the phone from the box all worked fine. Then suddenly message reminder stopped working despite all the settings are correct. After a complete reset (factory settings) all worked fine again for a few days and now again message reminder is not working.
What could be the course?
I have upgrade IOS to 5.1 and face detection on the camera application does not seem to work. It doesn't seem to work on my iPad2 either. has anyone gotten this function/feature to work on either the iPhone 4 or iPad2?

I've noticed that the phone heats up a lot when under a heavy load, which I understand, but when I'm holding it, it feels like it could almost burn me. The phone is not overheating, although when it does heat up I do notice the performance drop. None of this is a dealbreaker, I just wanted to know, is it normal for the phone to get so hot? Is it just because the phone's outer casing is metal and glass rather than plastic that it feels like this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had my phone since April 2015 and never had any problems until 3 days ago. When my phone is not using wireless internet (like when I leave my house) and it switches to Mobile Data (4G) it overheats in a matter of minutes and battery starts draining super fast.
I tried the same thing at home, when im using wireless, everything is perfect, no overheating when playing games or using apps and battery life is normal, but when I turn off wireless, the battery drained by 10% in just 2 minutes and the temperature got uncomfortably hot it hurts to even hold the phone.
I have tried Factory Reset like many suggested but that didn't work, it's still causing the same problem. I dont even know why it started doing this, it was fine for 8 months and it's not like I installed anything new lately.
For some reason, my capacitive buttons next to the home button aren't lighting up. Did Samsung do away with this? Since I'm used to the way they work, I know where to push the button to go back or to open recently opened apps but I'd like to have them lit if I could.
