I had my phone since April 2015 and never had any problems until 3 days ago. When my phone is not using wireless internet (like when I leave my house) and it switches to Mobile Data (4G) it overheats in a matter of minutes and battery starts draining super fast.
I tried the same thing at home, when im using wireless, everything is perfect, no overheating when playing games or using apps and battery life is normal, but when I turn off wireless, the battery drained by 10% in just 2 minutes and the temperature got uncomfortably hot it hurts to even hold the phone.
I have tried Factory Reset like many suggested but that didn't work, it's still causing the same problem. I dont even know why it started doing this, it was fine for 8 months and it's not like I installed anything new lately.
I have a SGSII which went for a little swim a few weeks back. It fell into a sink full of water but could have only been in there for a second. Phone was working when I pulled it out and I swiftly pulled out the battery and set about drying it.The phone eventually started up but these are my problems
1. The phone massively overheats as soon as you put the battery in. It doesnt even have to be switched on. Part of the motherboard is seriously overheating. If you look at the back of the phone, on the right hand side, about 2 thirds of the way down, this seems to be where the heat is coming from. I have to pull the battery after about a minute in fear of meltdown.
2. I charged the battery in a friend's phone and when I tried switching on, it fires up fine (apart from the same overheat problem) but it tells me to connect the battery charger and shows the battery as being almost drained when I know this is not the case. Everything seems to be there such as messages and all media.
3. The clock says its 0:00 and the date is 1 January. Im not sure whether this is because the battery has been out for so long or because it's fried.
Im tempted to send it off to samsung to have a look at even if it is outside of the warranty. I'd rather spend a bit of money getting it fixed rather than flog it on ebay. However, I was wondering whether anyone had any thoughts of suggestions as to what might be causing the overheat and whether it is worth trying to get repaired.
My first Sony phone and its been great. until a few days ago.
I charge my phone overnight, every other day due to the lovely battery life.
But a couple times now, I have woken up to a dead phone. And being late due to no alarm!
I changed chargers and leads and no change.
Last night, I woke at 2am to my phone going nuts, kept notifying me of the charger being plugged in, then out, then in, then out, over and over again and buzzing at same time and would not respond to my input.
Eventually the screen went blank, vibrating continued until I thnk it just ran out of power!
My new phone overheats when charging, as does the charger and the battery has a life of 24-36 hrs with minimum usage - calls and sms only.Phone has been replaced yet i have the same problem with 2nd phone.
My phone is slow and overheats then the battery drains super fast. i also seem to have a problem with the google playstore. I can't log in as its giving me the error feedback...
i am new to the android phones. i have the flipout and even though i was exited about it my battery lasts about half a day and it is allways really hot
My samsung s6 edges gets too hot. Is it natural that samsung s6 edges cpu temperature Can be high as 57c to 75c? I was about to sell my phone. Now im not sure.
Cooler master software says phones temperature is about 38 c.
I just got a Samsung s6 edge and I am wondering if there's a way to put apps like whats'app instagram etc on the edge. You can do that on the note edge but I can't seem to figure it out on the s6 edge.
I just got the S6 Edge today and set it up. I've noticed that the phone heats up a lot when under a heavy load, which I understand, but when I'm holding it, it feels like it could almost burn me. The phone is not overheating, although when it does heat up I do notice the performance drop. None of this is a dealbreaker, I just wanted to know, is it normal for the phone to get so hot? Is it just because the phone's outer casing is metal and glass rather than plastic that it feels like this?
Edge get quite hot with normal use. When I say hot I don't meant not able to touch the phone but the aluminum bezel especially gets quite hot. I haven't noticed it in the past with my previous sapphire black probably because I've has a case on it.
The phone won't recognize or charge with the cable. I sent the phone away for repair only to get a response from Bell saying the issue is not covered under warranty and is unrepairable. When I received the phone back I found out it will still charge with the wireless pad I bought. What are my options?
When the phone is kept idle the charging time says 45 min but when i start using it da charging time goes upto 1 hour 30 minutes??? Do i need to change my battery. I am using s6 edge ....
I've done everything from resetting my computer, uninstalling and re installing everything, downloaded the drivers off of the Samsung website, tried a bunch of cords other than my own that came with the phone and debugging my phone, I've about had it with trying to figure out why it wont work.. all i want to do is download my music file on to my phone.
Almost every day my phone is very slow to respond, hangs (like Windows XP used to do), the screen won't stay on long enough for me to swipe my security pattern, etc. It's very aggravating and had been for the last two phones (HTC DNA, Samsung S6 Edge) and in very close to jumping ship to either Apple or Microsoft (ugh, I shudder at the thought).
What can I do to find out what is affecting my phone or is this something I can expect from an Android phone on the Verizon network?
Ok so i droped my new galaxy s6 edge and i thoight i was all right untoll my phone rebooted and stuck in safe mode now i realised my bottem volume buttomvis stuck down.
When the last word in a sentence has a bubble around it (meaning I can make that word an emoji), my phone will put it there twice. Only if the word can be an emoji and it has a period after. For example, I just typed a sentence and the last word was "soon." I typed out "soon." And my phone sort of auto corrected it to "soon soon." NO matter how many times I tried deleting the second word, every time I put a period, if would add the word again.
My fingerprint feature was working fine...then suddenly it wasn't. I have the same fingers today that I had yesterday. So I'm then prompted to change my password via gmail. Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.
Transferred from a GS4 to new GS6E, and the woman at Verizon couldn't take the time of transferring my photos. So, she gave me my memory card that was in my GS4, and said "it's easy to transfer from here to the new phone". Ummm, not so easy. I downloaded the pics to my Mac desktop, but even with a USB cord, the phone isn't accepting the photos.
At times I run my small business from my phone and I need to be able to send numbers from my call logged to my techs via text message. On my s 4 all I need to do was hold on the number in the logs and a box would pop up then I'd press send number and it would go directly to text messages app.
I was on the computer and my phone was charging on my wireless charging dock. I went to call my friend so I picked up my phone and the red light that says its charging was still on and the screen wouldn't turn on. I already tried to restart it using the power and -volume button, I even called tech support and all of their suggestions failed! I usually charge it overnight and it's fine in the morning.
Ever since the latest update from tmobile my favorite contacts are not appearing on my edge, the tab is only there sometimes. My settings is all correct and the only way that tab will appear is if I restart my phone and or go into my settings, turn off people edge and back on then it appears again, but only for a little while. Then disappears again, same with restarting my phone. This one of the main reasons I bought this phone.
So I connect to a bluetooth device for my car to play music and provide directions. Driving mode somehow got turned on and is annoying as all heck. So basically I want it gone. It doesnt do anything for me, it just randomly resends a notification and interrupts my music and I have had it.
My s6 edge screen just went dark after a phone call. the touch and everything works. I can receive calls. I know how to pick calls since I just have to swipe at the bottom so I know the touch works and everything works. I get notification tones too. I tried to shut it off and maybe start it again but I don't know how to do it since i'll have to confirm by tapping the screen which I cant see anything on.
I have done the volume keys and home key tricks. phone restarts perfectly but with a blank / black screen like before. it was hot but now cool. screen is still off. I left to charge earlier before the fateful call so I don't know if maybe its over charged. but it seems everything is working but I cant see anything on my screen. its as if the phone has been switched off screen wise.
