View 1 RepliesI bought a Motorola Flipout from Amazon and have an AT&T sim in it. I can connect to wifi and receive data but get no data connection away from home. The AT&T rep wasn't much help since I have prepaid plan. I can talk and text just fine but get no data connection away from wifi, I do have a data plan.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a SGSII which went for a little swim a few weeks back. It fell into a sink full of water but could have only been in there for a second. Phone was working when I pulled it out and I swiftly pulled out the battery and set about drying it.The phone eventually started up but these are my problems
1. The phone massively overheats as soon as you put the battery in. It doesnt even have to be switched on. Part of the motherboard is seriously overheating. If you look at the back of the phone, on the right hand side, about 2 thirds of the way down, this seems to be where the heat is coming from. I have to pull the battery after about a minute in fear of meltdown.
2. I charged the battery in a friend's phone and when I tried switching on, it fires up fine (apart from the same overheat problem) but it tells me to connect the battery charger and shows the battery as being almost drained when I know this is not the case. Everything seems to be there such as messages and all media.
3. The clock says its 0:00 and the date is 1 January. Im not sure whether this is because the battery has been out for so long or because it's fried.
Im tempted to send it off to samsung to have a look at even if it is outside of the warranty. I'd rather spend a bit of money getting it fixed rather than flog it on ebay.However, I was wondering whether anyone had any thoughts of suggestions as to what might be causing the overheat and whether it is worth trying to get repaired.
My phone is slow and overheats then the battery drains super fast. i also seem to have a problem with the google playstore. I can't log in as its giving me the error feedback...
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsed to plug in my phone to the computer to charge but now it no longer charges via the computer.USB notification doesn't appear.Computer doesn't recognise that a device is attached either.I have checked the leads and have tried alternative computers.Still no change.If I use the lead attached to the plug in charger then it charges fine without problem.But as of now I can't use PC charging (which seems to increase battery life between charges) nor can I transfer anything to/from my PC.

I don't know if the screen consumption is ordinary, but I am surprised that the screen alone is causing substantially more than half of the battery drain. I have searched everywhere and there seems to be no solution, also there are 100's of users reporting the same issues but blackberry seems to dodge the subject and offer pre designed answers. Surely you can admit if there is a manufacturing issue and offer a proper solution instead of dodging the issue. Deeply dissapointed with this phone, and yes its on the latest os all apps are closed etc etc etc. stop tellling us this resolves the issue AND OWN UP TO THIS **bleep** YOU PRODUCED. View 9 Replies View RelatedGot my Cyan 920 on Friday. Immediately had overheating issue while syncing email during first setup. Got super hot at the top,battery drained very quickly. I had turned on Nokia Drive Beta + for just a minute to check it out then didn't use it again. No more heat or battery issues until tonight when I plugged it into my computer to move some video files onto my computer through the file explorer. Phone got very hot at the top and actually started losing battery life even though it showed to be charging (plugged into my laptop). I did not have any apps running intensive processes or syncing/uploading going. I turned off background services for Nokia Drive Beta + (though I hadn't opened it since that initial opening to check it out) then I turned it off and back on and it stopped the overheating and it began to cool. But then I couldn't connect to phone or internet services even though it showed 4 bars of LTE. Turned it off and on again and everything seemed to be working fine, then it began heating up again. Just removed it from my laptop and it is now plugged into the wall charger that came in the phone box (USB). This is unacceptable for a new phone. I had been using a Black Nokia Lumia 900 for several months before upgrading and using Nokia Drive frequently.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI had my phone since April 2015 and never had any problems until 3 days ago. When my phone is not using wireless internet (like when I leave my house) and it switches to Mobile Data (4G) it overheats in a matter of minutes and battery starts draining super fast.
I tried the same thing at home, when im using wireless, everything is perfect, no overheating when playing games or using apps and battery life is normal, but when I turn off wireless, the battery drained by 10% in just 2 minutes and the temperature got uncomfortably hot it hurts to even hold the phone.
I have tried Factory Reset like many suggested but that didn't work, it's still causing the same problem. I dont even know why it started doing this, it was fine for 8 months and it's not like I installed anything new lately.
After months of dealing with mediocre battery longevity, both of my D2G batteries seem to be unable to keep the phone alive for even half a day anymore.I suspect one of the major titles on board, recently updated, is drawing resources which are causing my battery to drop to about 30% within seven hours of standby time.I even found this to be the case in Safe Mode.Nothing seems to stop this phone from drawing excessive current.When I was in Eastern Europe, recently, the phone was used only through WiFi.Battery life was much, much better, and this proved that 3G reception was by far the biggest energy thief.WiFi is no slouch in energy draining capacity, but without the 3G radio in the on position, my D2G did very well on a single charge.
But under current conditions, I'd have to have a backup battery (or charging source) with me at all times.I hope this problem can be rectified, or I will join the growing population of those who seems to regard D2G as a failed model.

Last night, I woke at 2am to my phone going nuts, kept notifying me of the charger being plugged in, then out, then in, then out, over and over again and buzzing at same time and would not respond to my input.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince installing the 5.1.1 update my battery life has been dramitically reduced. Chragring time has also increased which confirms the update is carring extra luggage. I had 5.1.0 running about a day and a half before needing a charge. Now its holding a full charge about 4-5 hours before it shuts down.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy battery used to fail on me at 15% and later on sometimes even at 30+% (After 8+ hours stand-by/usage). But since a few days (also after updating to iOS8) it just dies after 3 hours and sometimes it indicates it has about 70% left. The fact it only gets worse makes me think it's the battery. It's slowly dying.
But updating to iOS8 seems to have made it worse. So it could also be a software problem.Is it worth the try to change to a new battery first before restoring the iphone etc.?When I plug it in to charge it has the same % as when it died.

I've been having issues with the apps from Andoid Market not downloading. It just keeps saying 'Downloading' and nothing happens. Do I need to set up a new VPN everytime I change provider? As I remember I had to do this when I first got the phone.
I recently did a factory re-set and it deleted the VPN. I don't have issues with connectivity, browser works fine.
i seem to have so much trouble getting music onto the flipout. I have had more success by taking the media card out and using a reader. Then i just drag and drop. Trouble is the player doesn't play every file. Some it doesn't like saying it is not the correct file type. I think i ripped everything via windows media player. Also windows media player does not sync with the card sometimes or the device itself. I am lost in the problems so can't remember when i did what. So my question is is there an ideal way to do this that i am missing. I think i did use some motorola software as well but didn't get very far with that either. Sorry i am vague but i am on my Linux machine and not the windows one.

my BB curve 8520 just shut off by itself and the battery was half full.i took it out to reboot it the red lite went on and the down load bar stuck half way to the end and froze.
