Galaxy S6 Edge :: Why Can't Hit Smiley Face On Keyboard For Emoji
Jul 21, 2015
Why can't I hit the smiley face on the keyboard for emoji? For my galaxy 6 edge. It will only work if I haven't typed anything! If I have already started typing and want to add an emoji it won't work.why?
I cant see the smiley icon for my emoji. Even when I press and hold the microphone icon the icon for the emoji is not there. I tried to use my keyboard everywhere like my note and other apps. Still cant see my emoji icons.
Before I updated my phone, at least 3 days ago, my emoji icon would work. Even if the keyboard was open. But now, if I press the emoji icon, even using the default theme for my phone it lights up and nothing comes up. Is there anything that could be done or I haven't paid enough much attention to this change?
The "smiley face" shortcut button on the Samsung keyboard no longer switches to the list of emojis. I've tried restarting phone, but problem is still there. I can long-press the microphone key to get to list though, but that's it.
I have a BB Curve 9300 and on the top of the screen, next to my notifiers, there's a yellow tear dropped shape smiley icon and because the features of the icon is not as defined as the other notifier icons, I suspect it to be a virus. I don't have any unopened notifications and did not subscribe to Yahoo.
Is there a hack or an app that makes the edge lighting work when the phone is face up? I like knowing who is texting me by the edge lighting but don't always want to have the phone face down.
Is it possible when using the keyboard, and the symbol key to select a symbol etc, that after you've selected the symbol you want and you then press the space bar, that the keyboard reverts back to letters rather than remaining on the symbol page?
Before the recent 5.1 lollipop update everything seemed to work fine for me, but after the update for some reason when I type a message in Hebrew (I have English US and Hebrew enabled) and send it, the keyboard switches back to English and then I have to manually swipe the spacebar back to Hebrew after each time I send a message. Before the update the keyboard language would stay on Hebrew after I sent a message in Hebrew. It seems that the keyboard is defaulted to English because when I bring up the keyboard to type something it always comes up in English.
why is it the Emoji show on the stock keyboard except for when you use inside Twitter? It shows on every other app when messaging just not Twitter is this normal that you can't access Emoji on stock keyboard that is on the nexus 6p?
When I'm typing with the stock Samsung Keyboard occasionally it deletes the first letter of the word I'm typing automatically. This is really annoying because then it predicts a completely different word to the one I initially meant to type. Also, the issue is only with Samsung Keyboard, swiftkey works fine.
Was just wondering if there is a way to disable keyboard sounds on the S6 Edge ONLY during a phone call. As, if the other party is on speaker phone and starts to type on the keyboard, all the click sounds go through to the second party and the voice goes very low.
I don't know if I'm the only one but for some reason my s6 is lagging like crazy when scrolling down emoji it's not smooth at all and I don't remember how it was when I got it but I know that it stays the same no matter what rom or kernel. Otherwise the phone is very smooth and fast especially on custom kernels and Roms even the benchmark shows nothing unusual.
I came across the app Emoji Font for FlipFont 1 that allows you to change the emojis on your device to the iOS emojis without rooting by changing the system font for the phone. The only problem is that it also changes the text font to an extremely ugly font that is much more difficult to read. If it's possible, how to modify the apk file for me and change the font it uses to the default font on the galaxy s6 and send me the apk file to download and install.
I have a GalaxyS5 running on 4.4.2 (the latest from my carrier) I've never been able to see emoji in texts. It didn't bother me until recently when it seems everyone has gotten on the emoji bandwagon.
I can send emoji and I can see them and everyone else can see them just fine but when they send them its just jibberish on my end.
I've tried a bunch of different apps with plugins and no dice. I've also scanned the phone through AVG and there's no virus.
I was able to turn off the Emoji suggestions (aka when it puts a grey bubble around text that has a corresponding emoji) when I first got the phone, but they seem to have returned and I can't find a way to turn them off again.
I have an at&t Galaxy s5 and last week I updated to 4.4.4, since then I can't add emojis to any of my contacts names. Any of my old contacts who had emojis still do but I cannot edit and add more or create contacts with emojis. I'm not sure why but if there's a solution that would be great! Also, I'm using SwiftKey keyboard.
I've had this problem for a while, but with the new iOS emojis, it's become even more obvious. In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.
I have recently bought the S5 and have been experimenting with the face tag function so that the People filter in Gallery is populated. However what I am finding is that the device is forgetting who I have tagged. This has many interesting side effects and I have been to the Samsung service centre who had no advice apart from ringing samsung and samsung themselves said go and talk to the service people.
i recently acquired my second s6 and i dont see an option for face photo tagging. in fact, there dont seem to be any gallery settings at all. this wasnt a problem on the first s6 i had.
When you move the phone away from your face to hangup a call it takes about 2 seconds for the screen to wake up? Is there an adjustment I haven't found yet. Just came over from iPhone.
