I was able to turn off the Emoji suggestions (aka when it puts a grey bubble around text that has a corresponding emoji) when I first got the phone, but they seem to have returned and I can't find a way to turn them off again.

I uncheck the "display suggestions show suggestions while composing" box in the text settings and as far as I can tell nothing changes.

On the k320i was a word suggestions option which had "display as list" or "dont display"selecting "dont display" meant that i didnt have the box showing up with a list of possible words i was typing in. On the new phone (w100i) I found "word suggestions" and "next word suggestions" both of which i set to off.However i am still having word suggestions displayed.I would like to know if it is possible on the w100i to not have the list of words displayed as it was with the k310i? any help would be greatly appreciated and of course if it isnt possible to have it not displayed i will just have tp get used to it .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if I'm the only one but for some reason my s6 is lagging like crazy when scrolling down emoji it's not smooth at all and I don't remember how it was when I got it but I know that it stays the same no matter what rom or kernel. Otherwise the phone is very smooth and fast especially on custom kernels and Roms even the benchmark shows nothing unusual.

The only problem is that it also changes the text font to an extremely ugly font that is much more difficult to read. If it's possible, how to modify the apk file for me and change the font it uses to the default font on the galaxy s6 and send me the apk file to download and install.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a GalaxyS5 running on 4.4.2 (the latest from my carrier) I've never been able to see emoji in texts. It didn't bother me until recently when it seems everyone has gotten on the emoji bandwagon.
I can send emoji and I can see them and everyone else can see them just fine but when they send them its just jibberish on my end.
I've tried a bunch of different apps with plugins and no dice. I've also scanned the phone through AVG and there's no virus.
Before I updated my phone, at least 3 days ago, my emoji icon would work. Even if the keyboard was open. But now, if I press the emoji icon, even using the default theme for my phone it lights up and nothing comes up. Is there anything that could be done or I haven't paid enough much attention to this change?

Any of my old contacts who had emojis still do but I cannot edit and add more or create contacts with emojis. I'm not sure why but if there's a solution that would be great! In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.

Im using Nokia E6 from past 2-3 weeks. One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen the last word in a sentence has a bubble around it (meaning I can make that word an emoji), my phone will put it there twice. Only if the word can be an emoji and it has a period after. For example, I just typed a sentence and the last word was "soon." I typed out "soon." And my phone sort of auto corrected it to "soon soon." NO matter how many times I tried deleting the second word, every time I put a period, if would add the word again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a verizon S5 running the stock 4.4.4 no rooting. For the past few weeks maybe a few months I have noticed the typing would get stuck.I was typing and even though I typed 5 words the screen would hold on the second one and after few seconds it would catch up. I have had this happen on a computer before when the cpu or ram was full and busy. As far as I can tell that is not the issue here. At least not as far as I can tell.
My second issue is when I am on the phone and hit speaker, the volume is low. If I hit the volume up it does not change. I can see the bar appear and or move but the actual volume doesn't change. I have even clicked the set up wheel and raised all volumes but no deal. I can play music and control the speaker volume, just not on a call.
I've been using SwiftKey as long as I remember on my old phones. I expected the s6 to run very smoothly with it but the opposite is true for me. Swipe to delete words barely works and typing is laggy and sluggish most of the time. Predictions are bad and I haven't found a way to make it work better.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince the last update (August 2015), whenever I type some letters letters (one, sometimes 2) from the beginning of the word disappear before I can finish typing the word. This causes autocomplete to think I'm typing a completely different word.
E.g., I tried to type "think" - the "t" disappeared by the time I had gotten to the "i"(despite it initially appearing initially), making the phone think that the word is starting with "h", and leading to issues when I press space (despite typing think perfectly, the phone autocorrected to the nearest matching word starting with H as "h" was now the beginning letter)
This has only been an issue since updating my phone this week. I thought it might have been the swipe function messing up, but turning that off, it's still causing me issues when I type normally.
When I'm typing with the stock Samsung Keyboard occasionally it deletes the first letter of the word I'm typing automatically. This is really annoying because then it predicts a completely different word to the one I initially meant to type. Also, the issue is only with Samsung Keyboard, swiftkey works fine.
