After a day or two it was gone, along with the microphone symbol.

Then Siri started acting wierd and now the display screen is black all the time and Siri keeps talking and advising what time it is. Aug 16, 2010Me and my daughter both have the 8900 Blackberry. Mine is fine for a year and a half now.My daughter just received a free replacement for her broken one last week. It was probably refurbished because it was free. Anyway, when she types SMS text the letter O or E comes out after almost every keystroke. It's very fustrating. I had her re-boot, had her remove auto-text, etc. It's still happening.
Does anyone have a possible solution or is it a defective phone?

Jul 9, 2011I just got the DX2 and have had it freeze on me when I'm typing on the keyboard. Initially, with the default keyboard settings, it would freeze on me whenever I put a space in between words after like the 3rd word typed. THEN, after removing the auto-correct function from the keyboard settings I solved that problem. Now, whenever I type a string of "!!!" or "..." it freezes the keyboard on me. The only way to get the phone back up is a reboot.
Secondly, I have received numerous duplicate text messages (as many as 7) of incoming texts from multiple different users in different areas of the country. I was in 3G coverage areas with excellent bars at the time so I'm not sure why this would happen. I also checked on this with my verizon bill and I'm being billed for these duplicate messages! NOT COOL.

One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. But "in the background" the text goes on, because after writing "blindly" I can send the whole message, even the first part I can see and even the second part which is written but not displayed.
